1. Have you tried another USB cable

2. Is it all the USB ports?
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 7:44pm On May 05, 2019

Well try another cable first, if you still experience the same issue then you have reinstall the operating system and install all drivers again.

If that didn't work, then I'll advise you see a laptop technician,it's likely the PCH is faulty.

Btw, what's the model of your laptop?

Turn on your PC > at the Appearance of Windows logo on your screen, press the power button. Do this 3x and you're in Advanced Startup where you can do your repair. Or, you use the Repair your PC option at the lower left screen of your OS installation using bootable disk.

Let get this straight, your laptop hangs on the laptop Logo right,it doesn't pass through that Logo stage?
Or it boot into desktop but Keep loading without entering Windows?

If it's the first one we are dealing here,I'll advise you to see a laptop technician cos the BIOS is corrupt.

Cos you won't be able to boot into BIOS or even enter desktop menu.

The first case is the problem I'm faced with. If my BIOS is spoilt, can it be easily repaired or would I need to replace the motherboard?

Hi guys
I was working on my Dell Latitude e7440 and suddenly it turned off. The ac adapter and battery were in.
Now it won't turn on.
The light on the ac adapter is off. If I unplug anx plug back the adapter to the wall the adapter lights turn on, but when I plug it into the laptop the adapter lights turn off immediately. Of course the laptop still turned off.
Same thing happens when I remove the battery, the ac adapter lights will turn off.
The laptop won't turn on with just the battery in neither.
So the battery is OK and the adapter is OK.. I have checked with another charger, same result

Is there anyway to fix this please or is the motherboard finished? sad

No ooo ,no need to replace the motherboard, nothing is wrong with it apart from the corrupt BIOS.

Just take it to an engineer close to you,he should know exactly what to do with that type of issue.

All I need is a BIOS programmer and the bin file.

I think the charger are not the same voltage, kindly visit nearby engineer around yuu .

Yes, I've done so.. I was told the IC unit is bad and it's a 50-50 repair chance.. I can only use the system on desktop mode now as it isn't charging up any battery..

Any other solution will be appreciated!!

Will the repair be costly? And will there be an after effect?

No after effect, and concerning the repair cost,it depends on the engineer.
