Etebo wins Stoke's Player Of The Year award.

They will stay in his heart but will he stay in Stoke? I for one hope not.

maybe he did

Because till tomorrow, I don't see what he brings to the team. He's rarely ever a stand out player, just getting by for lack of competition.

Winning South West Stoke City player of the year, whatever that means, doesn't make him stellar, it's not like they made it out of the Championship with his contribution
you don't see what Etebo brings to the team? fear God small na . He might not be WC but this guy dey ball abeg

What is he balling? We can't even find where to put him in the midfield half the time, so, what is he balling?

A few bright sparks here and there does not equate to balling, he's not even consistent. He better do something amazing at AFCON, because I repeat, he brings nothing spectacular. Just because Nigeria has become accustomed to mediocre performances by players, Etebo is now balling.

He never even reach Sunday Mba level in the national team, it is lack of competition that makes him look great. If you find a midfielder with purpose, Etebo will look ordinary. Na the gragra dey make am look good, when you see a player with great footballing sense, you will see the difference.

Etebo is a baller...I will repeat and defend that words wherever and whenever. .. You should blame Rohr for being tactically inefficient rather than blaming the guy. Tell me any other MF in SE that can offers what Etebo offers. Mba? Lolz ..just because of AFCON winning goal abi

So, you did not read where I said, it is lack of competition that is keeping him there?

What does he offer? Running up and down like a headleds chicken is what entertains Nigerians these days. What does he offer? How many chances has he created for goals? How many crosses? What is his success rate with take-ons and interceptions? How many blocks? Even his dribbling, how good is it? That guy has never touched ball and I'm filled with confidence.

Yes o, Mba had TWO match-winning goals in crucial AFCON games, his name is imprinted in Nigerian football history for those two goals, what has Etebo done? How many match-winning goals in crucial matches?

You people think you can just call anybody a baller because they have horse power and run up and down the pitch with little to nothing to show for it. Gone are those days, nobody is going to scam me with runs that amount to nothing.

Please, tell us what he brings that is so irreplaceable.

you're really abusing that word...."baller"
a midfielder that can't link the midfield with the attack is that one a baller....

save for iwobi and mikel. ..how many of our current midfielders can spring up to 5 good passes upfront from the midfield?

None.... and you call him a baller
just say he is trying pls

When I think about Keshi's AFCON list, I realized it was based on selective selection.

Keshi dropped Taye Taiwo who started all the matches for Dynamo Kiev in the league, UEFA champions and Europa League for Juwon Oshaniwa who was in an obscure Israeli league. As at that time, Taye had a goal and 2 assists.

Keshi dropped Lukam Haruna who anchored Dynamo Kiev CMF and AMF in both the league and UEFA champions League, and even scored 6 goals with 2 assists, for Fengor Ogude, Reuben Grabriel etc who were from obscure leagues. One of them was selected despite having injury.

Imagine, Keshi took an INJURED player to the AFCON. shocked shocked angry

I thought these two were playing for obscure team but surprisingly Keshi dropped them and picked Brown Ideye.

Late Keshi Dropped Obafemi Martins who was banging in goals in the La Liga and Europa League for a player struggling in Russian league.

Late Keshi Dropped Peter Odemwigie who was one of our best if not the best player in Europe for a player like Ejike Uzoenyi.

I don't want to talk about Sone Aluko, Ezekiel Imoh etcetera who he conspicuously ignored for no just reason.

Well, he won the trophy but at the end of the day, our SE suffered regression for 5 years.

to be honest if we have the luxury of good midfielders like the civ and the senegalese national team etebo cant make our first 11.

Gragra cannot do me voom n'anya anymore

After watching my beautiful Ebuehi romance a ball with so much care and tenderness, nobody will scam me with their kick and rush football.

Honestly, words cannot explain how devastated I am that Tyronne will not make it to AFCON 2019, that boy deserves to be seen on a big screen, his brilliance is mind-boggling. It is a travesty that people like Etebo will be spoiling the pitches in Egypt with his gragra football, while a truly skillful Ebuehi will be unavailable.

I'm so pained, I'm not even excited for the tournament.

the thing is paining me

You see the kind of midfielders being paraded by these countries, and we are shamelessly hyping Etebo here. We should be soaking chaplet somewhere at this point, because I can bet you that the AFCON group stage will be tough for us to begin with, let me not even reason what comes after.

Bro.. reason why i am just praying for foreign groomed midfielders the Dele brothers and others at least
there should be one outstanding player among them to gatecrash the afcon squad....

we need a good play-maker and hoping we get one from the under 20.

like i said previously it will only take an honest fellow to spit the truth that keshi was the most corrupt super eagles coach ever. alot of us here don't know what happens behind the scene and are not ardent followers of our players exploit abroad.

the same keshi that ignored imoh ezekiel who was a dynamite in the colors of standard liege banging in goals week in week out in favor of uchebo who was miserable in in cercle brugge then. the same keshi that tried to persuade young iheanacho to sign with his management team with a promise to that he will include him in the team to chan.

keshi was a mafia and highly connected that was the only reason he wasn't booted out on time as pinnick planned but his luck ran out when ex presido jona lost to buhari.

It was very disheartening seeing players ignored for personal gains.

Keshi was a portfolio cum business/coach that only thought about his pocket though a brilliant coach.

Anyway, I don't want to put much mind for our football matter because of heart failure.

Anyhow e comes I go take am like that.

we lack quality in the midfield and it baffles me of late that we are producing more of winger than any other position on the pitch. i think it will be balanced after the the u20 wyc and olympics if we qualify.

Rohr also have to try out some untested midfielder. there is this german born midfielder friede who plays in the same club in belgium with oshimeh, he is a CM and currently having a good season with the belgian side on loan from hertha berlin.

zubairu have been doing well since since moving to croatia and have attracted clubs like ajax and aek athens

we have a nigerian midfielder also in croatia who plays for the country's biggest team dynamo zagreb and have been pretty decent

real zaragoza's igbekeme is another good mention

what we truly lack is a good box to box midfielder who can score and assist as well. the AM position for now is not our biggest worry because alex iwobi and mikel can easily be deployed in the position. the only decent box to box midfielder we can boast of is etebo but he is not good enough
