TheGoodJoe: As one who played as a striker, I no go miss that chance. He had the option to feign the keeper as if he wanted to take a shoot and allow the ball rolling a bit to his right foot before moving it into the box. At that point he would had made the keeper static for few seconds which would had allowed him get ahead and shoot into the post. That was what I expected him to do but he messed up big time. |

Forget Matic – Man United must revive interest in this 22-year-old PL midfielder to challenge Liverpool next season Published 4 weeks ago on April 11, 2019 By Rohan Sengupta Manchester United Opinion: Why Wilfred Ndidi will be a top fit at United? Back in April 2018, the Daily Mail claimed Manchester United were one of the Premier League clubs interested in Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi. Wilfred Ndidi, 22, has established himself as one of the hottest midfield prospects in the Premier League with his consistent displays for Leicester City over the past two seasons. But it is quite fascinating that the Nigerian international doesn’t get the praises he deserves. The midfield powerhouse has played 32 games in the league, scoring two goals so far this season. Ndidi has again impressed in Leicester colours which should prompt Manchester United to reignite their interest and sign him in the summer. Manchester United have given the manager’s job to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a permanent basis until June 2022 and the Norwegian will be looking to bring back the glory days at the club with several key signings in the summer. The Metro claims Solskjaer is ready to offload as many as six players in what will be a massive summer overhaul ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. The 46-year-old will be handed significant funds to spend in the transfer window regardless of whether the team qualifies for Champions League next season or not. And Solskjaer wants to reinforce at full-back, centre-back, central midfield and wide midfield with funds raised from the sales of six players, adds the report. As far as midfield is concerned, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata’s deals are expiring at the end of the season and while the duo are negotiating new deals, there’s little guarantee that either will stay. If Herrera and Mata leave, United will be left with Paul Pogba, Fred, Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira and Scott McTominay as options in central midfield. If Solskjaer’s red army are to compete with Manchester City and Liverpool for the title next season, they need to bolster their midfield options. They need a replacement for Matic as the Serb doesn’t quite fit Solskjaer’s style of play at Old Trafford. That being said, Wilfred Ndidi would be a straight upgrade for Matic. Ndidi is a midfield general who can be destroyer, dictator of the game and score long-range belters for his team. An excellent tackler, the Nigerian reads the game very well and positions himself accordingly to snuff out the danger before it turns bigger. He is a very good passer of the ball and knows to keep things simple when required. Verdict The former Genk man will be fantastic for United, who need a disciplined, composed engine-room technician to break up play and dictate the flow of the game. Hence, the Red Devils should do everything in their powers to sign Ndidi in the summer. Source : mediareferee.com |

tbaba1234: I personally would not be putting that information in the public domain. A player on trial at this time when the season is coming to a close. Has not been signed yet it is not certain. It's just unnecessary pressure and undue publicity. Not wise in my opinion. I know West Ham and I have dealings with them not been too impressed with the recruitment team too many underhand dealings. |

charlesemeka85: I don't see Ajayi getting into the EPL and it will not be surprising if he stays in league one. However some of the typical kick and rush teams in the Championship may consider him a prospect if he goes for a good price. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by komekn(m): 6:24am On May 07, 2019 |
tbaba1234: That doesn't necessarily mean outstanding quality particularly in a club like Bournemouth. I haven't watched him play once or asked any of the coaches at Bournemouth about him. So it's not a conclusion just a general statement. |
