Guys.
If Nigeria had a commission or council instead of a president, rigging the election would be impossible.

1)The math involved in rigging is to allocate the most votes to a single person:Buhari.
Rigging is easy if you want to elect one person. angry
But what if Nigeria had a council/commission instead of a president? How would you rig the election then?
You can't rig an election with 5-12 people as winners.

2)If a single person controls INEC,hes going to abuse his power, including rigging himself back into power!
Why wouldnt Buhari/APC use INEC to stay in power? They control it!
If Nigeria had a council/committee instead of a President,No Single Person or Party would control INEC.
Because each member on the council/committee would belong to different parties/different geopolitical zones!

Just try and prove me wrong!

You made a lot of sense in your post. I had suggested something similar to this in an earlier discussion with a friend of mine. Nigeria needs to design their own kind of democracy, the presidential system is not working and will never work if we are to make progress as a nation.

Its true!Im trying to show Nigerians that having Presidents is what causes:
Corruption(Billions spent on electricity, but no electricity)
Abuses of Power(President using EFCC to punish enemies)
Incompetence(Buhari being a dullard!)
Vagrancy(Buhari Being Missing)
Nepotism(Family members getting leadership roles)
Do Or Die Elections(Atiku suing INEC)
Regionalism(Northern rule)
Tribal Politics(HausaFulani Candidates Only)
Compromised Leadership(Cabals)
Lack of Transparency(TraderMoni)
Unaccountability(Incomplete infrastructure projects )
And more.

We really need to abolish Presidents in Africa.
Why should countries with millions of people be led by a single person?
Re: A Council Would Solve Nigeria's Rigging Issue by senami2019: 1:00pm On May 03, 2019
Nigerians voted from a list of seventy-two (72) Presidential candidates and 6,584 National Assembly candidates.

Isnt this a waste? 72 Persons available to lead the country, but we have to elect one person.
And that person is an illiterate sociopath who cares more about cows than people?

Wouldn't it be better if we chose the best seven out of the 72 people to serve on a council/committee?

“The PDP has been well briefed on how the INEC Leadership and Officials of the Buhari Presidency, became jittery and resorted to the desperate measure, after they realised that the servers have information of Atiku Abubakar’s victory at the election.

INEC is supposed to be Independent, right?
But because Nigeria has an All-Powerful President, who answers to no one;he is using all the bodies of the state to serve his own interest.

Ask yourself this:If Nigeria had a Council/Committee instead of a president, would the council/committee be doing this nonsense?
Would a council/committee be hiding a server from a political enemy?
Would a council /committee even have political enemies?
Would a council/committee be filled with criminals like Buhari?

Furthermore,If Nigeria had a Council/Committee instead of a President,The Thief Atiku would not be carrying on trying to force himself into the Presidency:
Since He got the second most votes at 11,000,000 ; he would be a part of the Council/Committee.

We must replace the Ofiice Of President with a Council/Committee Now!

“This is with the view to using such to cover the fictitious results it wrote for the APC.

What INEC and the Buhari Presidency do not understand, is that computer software and applications leave traces, signatures, as well as footmark.

“Forensic investigation of the system will reveal the real votes transmitted from the polling centers, which show Atiku Abubakar as the winner of the election.”

1) If its only one winner, then it's rather easy to fix the results!
All you have to do is Give Buhari more votes than he got to get him to win.

But what if there was more than one winner(Council has more than one member)?
How will you fix this election?
Why would you want to fix this election?

Also,Having a council/committee instead of a President gets rid of "winner takes all".

2) Is INEC not supposed to be independent? It Is because we have an all powerful president that is using the state for his selfish purposes.
A council/committee removes powerful presidents who abuse the power of the state.

Imagine if we had a council consisting of Buhari,Atiku,Sowore,Ribadu,Ezekwesili,Moghalu,Durotoye.
Could Buhari use INEC to fake election results?
No! He could not! He would not be allowed to!

3) So just a slight editing of the polling numbers and we get the wrong leader!
They claim Atiku is the right winner, but somehow Buhari got more votes.
So with a single winner, the peoples will can be thrown away.
You wanted Atiku, but all they have to do is decrease Atikus number and increase Buharis numbers and your leader is chosen against your will.

Tell me how can someone pick your leaders if you were to have multiple winners in an election?

A council/committee has multiple persons.
It is impossible to rig an election when there are multiple winners.

You are the only one who compose a thread and continue to comment on your thread. Meanwhile you are accusing another person . Have you checked yourself first?? I wonder how on the mother earth with the dynamic of Nigeria electoral system you people think Atiku would win Buhari. What yardstick did you people used to measure your assumptions gan. That election has come and gone, let's move on as a nation biko. No amount of bitterness and writing of epistles here and there can change anything. Haba!!

I am not a Atiku/PDP supporter.
I am not a Buhari/APC supporter.
What I am trying to show is the reason they(APC/PDP) can rig our elections is because there is only one winner.
So whoever is in power(APC/PDP), will always RIG themselves the most votes.

I want nigeria to get rid of the president and replace it with a council/committee.

On a council/committee there would be more than one person who share equal responsibility and have equal power.

If we had a council instead of a president, APC/PDP would not have control of INEC.
If we had a council instead of a president, APC/PDP could not rig elections because there would be more than one winner.

Do you understand now?

So you believe that Nigeria is better off with a President than a Council or Committee?
Can you explain why you think a council/committee would be bad for Nigeria?
Can you tell us why being led by a President is better than being led by a Council/Committee?

Thanks!
