U gave nice suggestions.
On the contrary, the 2-3 months is only speculative,an estimate. There's is no guarantee that u will wait that long. Similar to the email booking, there's a high possibility of getting nearer dates like the next week if they see a vacuum. So what am saying is that we should only book when our AL is out.
I agree we all fall in Category B.
Is less than 10% of applicants will be fit for category A.
The fact also that ur AL was still not requested ahead of booking means is no point saying d would be checking resumption deadlines to give dates.
Then lastly, appointment dates are in June now, 2-3 months ahead of ur deadline still fall in place for people going September/October.

On the form we are to fill date for 'beginning of study" I guess this option was added to the form so they can know ones resumption deadline.

Please who has idea of how long it would take transfering on'es document from Wurzburg to Munich. I was admitted to Wurzburg but after visa got admitted to TUM. I need to start working Asap. That's the condition to stamp my work permit.

I am likely going to explore this option. My first choice is TUM but I may be compelled to process my visa with another admission letter first. Please share your experience(s) as events unfold.

I wish you luck.

hi guys, is it safe to book appointment without AL now?

As it is, at this stage, It's best to wait and observe the trend through those applying with their AL already till one is sure how the
new system works.

I think Germany has more students applicants than the USA and Canada.
I don't think this is possible. Considering the number of Student Visa applicant per day at the German Embassy and from transcripts... Not saying its impossible.... But highly unlikely... Have you been to US Embassy in the Morning

What date did you get, boss?
The date is not out yet.

I was referring to the ID that was given. Only the last digit differ between mine and someone I know. So I figured it was arranged based on first to apply.

is risky booking appointment in advance when you have no admission letter at hand cos of what I saw on their website below

"In order to avoid any malpractice only one appointment can be booked per person. In case you do not show up on the day of your interview the Consulate General has the right to bar further bookings for a period of up to 6 months."
TRUE!
2-3 months could be anytime. No more cancellation of booking after date has been given.
Very Okay.

This is just my personal opinion . Concerning the recent development  on appliction for study visa to  Germany there are some points i want to make.

Lets do more research and and try to divert our attention from germany. Austria is not too different from Germany the only issue you pay tuition free that come as low 1500 euros and you get to stay after your studies just like Germany.  Lets learn from the indians.

If you remember when sweden and  finnland was tuition free for Nigeria you will recall that something similar happened.

If you can come up with almost 9 thousand euros then you can school in other places in Europe,  just do your research.  Croatia,  Lithuania,  Austria.  Check them out and try to go that route.

Am not saying  you shouldn't  try Germany, am just saying you should broading your horizon.

I wish you the best of lucky in your applications to Germany.  AM land on you all.

Personally, I think truly there has been an upsurge in student visa applicants to DE which is why the embassy is bringing up these rules. however, e never bad reach US or Canada applicants oo. Also winter applicants are usually more than summer applicants
My advice is that do as much as possible to give yourself an edge coz its obvious that having AL is no longer enough. Fund your BA before interview, write Goethe exam (if you have time), anything that will push you further, do am.
May God reward all our efforts.
