Save this argument till I get home in about 30 minutes, I need to sign out and get home, when I get home I will look for a video of the goal and show you freeze-frames of the various seconds leading to the goal

The guy will defend the undefendable, ask him what he means by 'shielding the defense' Is it by sleeping in front of the back four

This guy sef, do you think shielding the defense is sitting there at looking at players

Though I think it's Choudbury's fault for not closing up Kompany cos he was closest to him

That is the primary duty of a defensive midfielder. Not pressing anyone that wants to shoot. Tactically, Ndidi's job is not to press Kompany.

I wonder where you got that from. Ndidi's primary duty is to shield the back four. Not leave them in the name of pressing a central defender.

It is very logical and does not need a long debate.

What about the creative midfielder? Why should the defensive midfielder be the one to blame when you had Maddison and Chilwell playing the advanced roles in midfield.

Ndidi's job is to shield his defence and not press. Pressing would expose passing lanes for City to do what they do best.

By the ratings were earned statistically, not dashed by guess work.

This is the SAME SCENARIO that has played out numerous times in Chelsea's games this season. You have an opponent advancing on the lone DMF (Jorginho) ideally the CMs and AMFs should press or close the opponent down (these roles are very mobile roles, unlike the Defensive Midfield) SURPRISINGLY, world class Kante (now in CM) will be ball watching, expecting Jorginho to move and press the opponent (breaking up play is not even Jorginho's strongest suite), Jorginho comes out to press, bang! the defence is miserably exposed, goals are shipped in in droves. Chelsea Lose. And Lose Miserably.

Hey, is everyone ready for tonight's cracker at Anfield? Looserpool fans and those English hooligans have already gone back to their old tricks by trying to intimidate Barca players with fireworks and everything .... exactly how they intimidated ManCity during last year's UCL quarter finals. But it ain't gonna work for them this time. I am predicting Liverpool 1 Barca 2 (aggregate Liverpool 1 Barca 5).

Rodgers wanted liverpool to win the league i am very sure of that.

If any liverpool fan is thinking about nacho miss as match fixing

Then the newcastle match is match fixing ,maybe i will also say benitez allow them to win that game.

I don't believe him one bit. To get that close and lose you would not want to see someone else do it. This is just being human tbh.

Liverpool fans have a lot of time on their hands. Same way they petitioned to ban Messi grin abeg make them rest jor.

First of all, Laporte who made the assist was squarely in the middle so Ndidi should have been mindful of his position, then when Kompany got that pass I don't know why you'd be blaming Chillwell, the FB for that matter to cover someone running free in the middle? That means you don't know the job of a FB, if he rushes Kompany then he is out of position and that is a problem. Closing down Kompany is 100% the DMFs fault due to his position before unleashing that strike. Then when you consider that Kompany advanced well over 6-10 yards before taking that shot then it becomes a schoolboy error by the DMF.

Ndidi was at fault 100%
just watched the goal again I still don't see why you are hell bent on blaming ndidi for it.

ndidi was in front of laporte when the pass got to kompany on the left side who then advanced forward. at this time two Leicester City players near Vincent didn't stop him from moving towards goal which ndidi noticed after which he came over to the left to try and close him down which was unfortunately too late.

The only thing ndidi is guilty of is leaving his primary Duty to go and help his teammates try and stop Vincent as well as not being omnipresent

exactly they think being a defensive midfielder is about running up and down like a headless chicken it's more about tactical discipline blocking all the passing channels knowing when to track and when to maintain your position so you won't be drawn out allowing attackers free rein at goal

yes you can block shots when in the right position not when you have been drawn out of position due to lack of tactical discipline this is one of the issues I always had with onazi

“He is playing top-level football already. For me, I prefer him to play for the Super Eagles and give way for other players to play for the U-20.

“He has demonstrated that he can shine at the big stages after playing against teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid which speaks a lot about him,”

“He has to embrace the challenges because it’s the will of God that he found himself in this situation and he has to honour it. If I will advise him, he should stick with the senior team and allow the U-20 to be, but the final decision still lies with him,”
