GAZZUZZ: Mr Gazzuz, please see the cable leading to the ckp sensor attached. Could it be the cause of the ckp dtc? If yes, can I get a replacement? Car is accord 2008

dillinger: To maintain car no easy. Please replace with brand new unit. The toks will fail eventually as it is an inherent problem in the accord at certain mileage. No one with a low mileage engine will remove a crank sensor and sell to you. 2 Likes |

Salute auto sages in the house. My 2005 Accord doesn't rev past 3000 rpm so I had it scanned and it threw up "P2649" ("A"rocker arm actuator control circuit high bank 1). My Mechanic said it's an electrician's work and I've met 2 different electricians who don't even know where to start from. Please how do I go about it? Warm regards. |

GCFR696: Mechanics call it raising sensor while is name is VTEC spool valve assembly. Its a common issue. It causes limb mode (engine speed limited to under 3000rpm). It is located behind the top cylinder to the left of the exhaust manifold. The issue is not a straight forward one that i can give you a solution. There are 2 electrical connectors, one for oil switch (right) and the other to the solenoid (left). The one for the solenoid is the affected one. Try to make sure there is good connection or the wire is not cut as the first solution attempt. If it doesn't work, a mechanic needs to remove the assembly, inspect the spool filter for dirt and wash the spool with fuel. Reinstall and try again, if it doesnt work, replace. Make sure the spool gasket isn't dry, that place is notorious for leakage due to high pressure engine oil. 2 Likes 1 Share

dakpemien: Oga, for ur own good, pls just use d manufacturer's recommended fluids, don't go for less, so many people from experience can attest to the ills of using a non recommended fluid in a car. Take my advice and thank me later 5 Likes |

Honda Gurus, my EOD was giving AC issues, then changed the condenser and evaporator, cleaned up the system and charged it with gas, when i put in d 1st bottle of gas, the thermostat was cutting as it should do, but when i put in d second bottle, it stopped cutting, i felt i had over charged it, i reduced it and made sure there is no air in d system, yet, the thermostat refused to cut, i checked d harness, nothing wrong, the ac is chilling fine, Now, i noticed that the engine has started loosing compression when the ac is on, i would have to switch the ac off before it can pick acceleration, if i throttle, it hesitates before picking, it sometimes looks like it's Not changing gear as it should, even to climb hill, e go kind of dey crawl, if i come to a near stop, and throttle to move, it won't respond immediately, i would have to press d throttle like twice or thrice before it will move, d gear 1 sometimes can't climb a small culvet, pls, what could be happening and what can i do? Scanned, all i got was ECT P2185 and ABS, this are codes that were there before this issue, i am yet to deal with this codes cc Gazzuzz luvinhubby nurey adanny01 |
