PLEASE can you introduce me to your tutor for assistance in reading.

Aaaaaaayeee!!! God has answered my IELTs prayer... grin grin

Paid for IETLs to write 23rd March, I had to move it to 27th April because of busy schedule.

I Had only two weeks to prepare. I identified my weak area being Listening.

General Training

First and only attempt ever!!! I really thank God... grin

Listening: 8.0
Speaking: 8.0
Reading: 7.5
Writing: 7.0

LISTENING: practiced only Cambridge 9-13 Ebooks until I was comfortable.

WRITING: Watched all Jay's E2 videos on different types of essays and letters. I wrote only one letter during my practice. I never had time to practice the Essay.

READING: watched Liz videos on TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN. Practiced only two full reading from Cambridge 13 book.

SPEAKING: No practice, I was confident on this one. I just watched Jay's video as per what to expect.

I wish everyone preparing to write soon God's favour.

Good luck and best wishes guys!

You see why I was just getting antsy the other time. For those of us who have to go the IQAS route, its such a test of patience. My application has crossed the 3 month mark with them but I've not even heard a single word about it. Apart from Fedex confirming delivery, they have not confirmed that my application and transcript are with them. Anyone commencing with IQAS around this period should be ready for ECA around December.

Maybe, its true sha that there must be a point in this journey that you'll experience a slow down, either IELTS, ECA, PCC from North Cyprus or long processing time. I wee sha see the goodness of God in the land of Canada
Amen!!!!!!

I smiled when I read the last paragraph of your post. You are comparing yourself- a pro-immigration, black, Nigerian graduate with at least 3 years of professional experience at a job that requires high level logical thinking to a Canadian VO who is usually a white, high school cert holder, probably racist and possibly anti-immigration. How aligned will your conclusions be? Remember they have never went through the rigours of obtaining visas to visit 90% of the countries they have visited. Hence, they are likely to be less sympathetic to the 'packaging lies' that is quite common to us here.

I did not advocate lying or anything remotely close to it. I never have and I never will. However, to tell them to write an LOE detailing everything as they have told us here (which is a counsel I have seen many times) is likely 'suicidal' to their application. I still maintain that the applicant needs to do is to be methodical and logical in their presentation. It is useful to remember that we are a friendly audience while the is not. That is my view.

Ifeoma77:

The VOs are also smart enough to sniff out dodginess, obfuscation or pure lies.
You know the issue with such situations? We never take the time to wear the VOs shoes. While you may think that you've cleverly manipulated the truth, yours is the 6000th such case that the VO is reading that week and he spots the truth instantly.
I don't know about you but I'd be more favourably disposed to someone who is straightforward and apologetic than the one who is still trying to prove cunning

Yes, she did... can she use it?
That's why it came out as just one degree. I'm afraid it won't give her points for two or more certificates.
If she's a gambling person, she can try evaluating with another ECA body. Or she can look into CIMA and the like

Please house,

applicant who used IQAS, for nursing and midwifery certificate at what point did you pay for verification. I just sent my transcript thru courier although it has not been delivered to IQAS. Should I pay for verification now
IQAS doesn’t do verification unless they are not familiar with your school. I personally haven’t seen anyone whose credentials had to be verified again by IQAS. So my advice is don’t pay yet. I stand to be corrected though.

please i need advice on this. i have asked earlier, about 13 years ago I was denied a US visiting visa with my parents. My passport had a wrong DOB. However, I never used it for any travel, it was the old type of passport. my current ecowas passport has the correct DOB and I have visited countries with it. In statutory questions post a ITA , I did mention I have being denied a US visa. do i need to go ahead and tell them the passport had a wrong DOB?(though that wasn't the reason why I was refused) i dont want to be to forward with the info.
It's not necessary and that information has no impact on your application. You've already corrected the passport, leave it at that

You had me laughing at your description of a typical VO, haba Sis!! Not fair to assume about them like that.
That being said, I see your point - still don't completely agree (I'm team write the LOE and confess grin grin ) but I understand your stance.

@ladymarshall you have just nailed it right there me sha upload everything .................... but you will be a very tough mother oo angry undecided lipsrsealed
ladymarshall:
@bolded How did you know your CSE was not attended to just because they had not replied you yet? On the webform page, CIC clearly indicated that they have an issue with their email response system and even when they do not reply yet, they get our CSE. How are we sure that it was not when they almost rejected you, they saw your CSE and put that into consideration. We do not know 100% what goes on behind the scenes, what we know is CIC is working even when they do not respond to us.

Let's even imagine the CSE made no difference in your case, people have confirmed here (and also on Canada Visa) that they got rejection because of not uploading ECA which you clearly saw in the CIC rejection response, which made you raise the CSE, so why would you then advise people to risk rejection just because yours was different or because you are trying to prove a point? Sometimes CIC might not explicitly request certain things, but we learn from people's rejection notices on what to avoid. For instance, for translated documents, there is no explicit requirement by CIC for people to upload the original foreign language document, yet they have rejected two applications of people I know personally because of that error, which made me upload mine. Would it be wise for me to then refuse to upload it just because CIC does not explicitly say so, even when the rejections were staring me in the face?

If you had not raised a CSE and still got to MEP/BIL stage, your claim would have been believable. But because there is a 50% percent chance that your CSE was considered without you knowing, you cannot say for sure that CIC does not require ECA. Let be careful when giving advice here, please.

I've been following this thread since 2016. IELTS has showed me pepper i have written and lost count my writing was always coming back with 6.5, But i could not retreat with all the testimonies here and there. I also contacted @Johnnybravo when he dropped a line to encourage someone that was down with the writing syndrome he said and i quote "BY THE TIME AM THROUGH WITH YOU IN YOUR WRITING YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME". Mehn this guy is a Guru immediately after my 1st session with him, he was able to identify my issue in writing.
Lo and Behold i scaled IELTS this time
L - 8.5
R - 8.5
W - 7.5
S - 7.0
CRS now stands at 463. Thanks to all those testimonies that kept me going and not to retreat.
@johnnybravo@vcole@ifeoma,@joo,@Topsmamen,@wasseynewest...+ silent readers wishing us well...THANK YOU,THANK YOU, THANK YOU....May we never stop rejoicing.
