Hello, gave out my pc to a friend. Returned it and when i switched it on it only displays "boot device not found Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk (3FO) F2 System diagnostics" My fears right now is my files. Will installing a new OS led to losing it? |
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 6:47pm On May 11, 2019 |
First open the HDD location and check if its properly afixed upon confirmation and all is well and you still get the same error. Check for any hard drive noise as there are possiblities of damaged sector if the system was hit against any hard surface if no noise please proceed to slave your HDD and take out all your files. Then you can install your OS. If you don't slave that hard drive to take out your files before OS installation your files will be lost. chikason68: |

You need to get an external hard drive enclosure insert the hard drive from your pc into it then use usb connector from the enclosure and connect to another pc then access your files. chikason68: |

Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by etech: 3:06pm On May 12, 2019 |
First you need to get your charger and battery checked. As regards your mouse slow performance when charging your battery remove the battery and use charger to power and check if its still the same thing. Let me know how it goes. Samfilo31: |

Nelsonmoney: Hello. With a minimum of 2GB RAM and 64GB storage, you should be able to run windows 10/on your PC. But take this to heart: 1. Your windows 10 will run even fast when you add an extra 1GB RAM or 2GB RAM. The reason is because of the graphics interface, the transitions and navigation's. 2. If you use an older generation PC, do not expect your track pad (wrongly called mouse mad) to perform cool stuff like the "two finger scroll" or the "two finger tap" Also, do not expect cortana to hear you! 3. Finally, you must take data consumption into consideration. Unlike windows 7 where you just turn on your internet and connect, win 10 will require you to make your connection "metered", disable " live tiles" and halt auto updates to minimize data consumption. Otherwise if data isn't your problem, then skipping this consideration isn't a bad idea 4. You may not experience drivers issues if you use a fairly modern device. However, if your device is getting closer to being called an antique, you may want to consider drivers issues before going ahead with installing win 10. otherwise don't. etech:Thanks. Oh there was a mistake in the question I asked. What I meant was; I have a system that I can't connect the hard disk to it using the default port due to damage in the flex. Now, my question is, can I purchase an external adapter to connect the hard disk to the system? Will I be able to install windows on it even though it's connected as external. |
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by Razak5(m): 10:19pm On May 13, 2019 |
Bobbyunitedfc: Hello. Before you throw your pavilion dv6000 into the trash, consider the following. The heat extraction system Are the vents blocked? Is the fan working optimally? And is the heat sink absorbing as much heat ? Also are the thermal pastes dried up? What of the thermal Pads, are they worn out? These are the basic checks a laptop technician would do to ensure that the heat extraction system works efficiently. Operating system, drivers et al Really, there are drivers for even the thermal framework of a PC. These drivers job is to keep processor heat low while still delivering proper out-put (in terms of performance). When there's a mismatch (high heat out put and low performance), there's a lot of heat generated and occasionally, laptop freezes until you force-shutdown. Now, you're going to tackle this issue from both the hardware angle first then software. This means you'll be paying a technician a visit soonest. Thereafter, if the issue persists, then you may now fulfill your mission of ditching the PC. Would you like further assistance? Hello House, Please, I need Internet Download Manager (IDM). I've tried downloading one, but all to no avail. I'm even scared of downloading from an unknown site so as not to encrypt my files with ransomware as I once had a case like that. I would appreciate if someone could forward one (cracked version or with serial key) to me via eesuolaa @ yahoo.com Thanks |

Good day. I recently got a used Hp Elitebook 840 G1, I noticed later that it doesnt have any bluetooth driver. I have tried to install one through the internet but no success at that. How can i get a bluetooth driver? |
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by Razak5(m): 4:18am On May 15, 2019 |
CsRockefeller: Hello. You must be sure that the laptop carries a Bluetooth device. If it doesn't, the drivers are practically useless. You can find the hardware in device manager. You can also find the device listed whenever you run a drivers package (e.g drivers-pack 17). In a nutshell, be sure the hardware is present before worrying about drivers. **Cheers** |
