If you are using uni assist for your applications, i will advise you to also apply to Technishe Universitat Berlin (TU Berlin) and Universitat Potsdam, both schools are under uni assist but the school has covered the cost for uni assist application fees for masters students meaning any masters course you apply for in both schools, you dont have to pay a dime except for Linguistics i think. So when sending your docs to uni assist, also apply for a course in both schools and send the application forms along with your certified docs. And of course a course that fits you, you can never tell
Furthermore, Berlin is one of the easiest city to get longer RP and to renew your RP, even with your first entry, you get 2 to 3 years straight up, They just stamp your passport (the validity of your passport has got to exceed 2 years), no need to wait for the Aufenthaltserlaubnis card which takes about 4 weeks or more. And of course there are jobs, but rent can be kind of high but its worth it. If you are coming with SL, bring money at least 1500 to 2k euros, you can survive with that till you get a job depending on how you spend, also, when signing your rent contract, you will pay a caution fee which means if you damage anything in the room, at the end of your contract, they deduct the loss from your caution fee, if everything is intact, you get the money back. The caution fee can range btw 300-450 euros.
Lastly, immediately you get an admission, make sure to register with the studierendewerk of your university or city to book for accommodation, NO ACCOMMODATION, NO RESIDENT PERMIT, NO RESIDENT PERMIT, NO JOB. Accommodation can be very scarce in places like Bremen and Hannover during this winter due to lot of students coming all over the world. You can also download the Gesucht app on playstore to look for private housing in different cities. But the studierenderwerk housing is cheap compared to Gesucht.

Try visiting the embassy with your AL and ask them at the gate, they are nice. This is to confirm about booking since the new developement. before the new developement this is how you could do it I haven’t done it yet but a fellow Naira lander shared his testimony about a month ago and he had his interview at the Abuja consulate. I contacted him and here’s what told me, which I’d surely do when AL shows. Send an email to student@lago.diplo.de With this format Full name and place of residence in Nigeria Admission letter or confirmation by Studienkolleg or language school Proof of scholarship of a federal German or EU organization Passport copy

Bamstar007: Just got a conditional admission from uni of applied sciences Karlsruhe. Geomatics, thanks to those who got admission into same programme earlier that I contacted(met on here). Conditions are I should provide 6 credit in Gis and also in programming. My question is Can I proceed to apply for visa with it
Hi bro.
Despite the condition attached to the admission offer, i still believe Congratulations are very much in order.
But i am wondering how you intend to go about meeting the condition.
Lol, seem they gave you my slot. I wrote to them weeks back(4-6days when I received their offer) . I told them since the admission committee gave me a conditional offer, meaning that I didn't meet the full requirements for the programme, that I regret that I must decline their offer, but I plead they give my slot to an applicant from Africa as expertise in the area of study is greatly needed in our region.
Chriswazo: I got 2 admissions from DIT on Thursday. All praise to God for confirming His words. I actually noticed it today when I checked the progress. But it happened yesterday, cos my portal changed to Enrollment uploads etc. Btw, there was no communication via mail.
Health informatics and industrial engineering.
Concerning this 14days to enroll, I think we need a WhatsApp group to know how we post our docs etc.
Congrats bro. You are edging close to the finishing line.
The emboldened appeals to me. What is your background like? Let me use it in assessing mine to know if i stand a chance.

Oga boss, how is Potsdam in terms of jobs and other essential benefits as it pertains to us Nigerians.
Please your info will be highly appreciated.
I don’t really know much about Potsdam and how quick you can get a job there. Potsdam is just 35 minutes with the train from Berlin. Incase you don’t find a job in Potsdam, you can always work in Berlin.
But I know about Freiberg concerning scarcity of jobs if you don’t speak the language. I know of 2 guys that had to leave the city during breaks to go work in another city. The language is important in smaller cities even if its B1. You can always look for jobs in different cities through jobruf.de. The minimum wage in Germany is 9.25 per hour but you can earn more in bigger cities. Also the working hours depends on your employer. Normally the auslanderberhorde gives you a work permit and it is stated on the work permit that you can work for 20 hours a week and 40 hours during holidays. But the employer can decide to increase your working hours which means you earn more than the normal 450-500 without getting taxed (like I said it depends on the employer). But this also varies from city to city and the kind of jobs you working.
The language is also important if you are going to eastern Germany, I’m not saying it’s not important in other parts of Germany too. My guy is Dresden (east Germany) said they don’t like black people and it’s hard to get a job if you don’t speak German. Though I already know of eastern Germany concerning their dislike for foreigners especially people with black skin.
That one no mean say make you Dey discouraged cuz the school wey you Dey apply to Dey eastern Germany. I mean even in Nigeria, we hate ourselves.
Lastly, always use google chrome if you wanna enter a German website, there is option for English translation, for example, a university website might have the important information only in German, some of them don’t have the important information in English and some sites here are always in German but with Google chrome, it will help you translate the page.
Pls can I get ur email or whatsapp number? I am trying to apply to DIT industrial engineering/operation and maintanence.... Abeg I need ur blessing on the processing thanks!
@Chriswazo Pls brother DM me your email or whatsapp number... I'm still running DIT in industrial engineering/ operation and maintanence! Abeg I need ur blessings in this application process thanks
