well said but i think that is were yu put in a little intelligence, though that won't stop anyone exploiting from you, i had similar case, i was about to lay a foundation of 5 unit self contain, location in benin....when i ask for quote iwas sent two quotes, 1 of them was 1.2mill and the other was 1m i first agreed coz am not arround and i really had not much idea about building, but wise of me i came on NL, created a forum seeking for advice and if possible a builder, i got some response and at the end of the day, after mailing them i got one's number who made me understand some major important point, but mind yu i also got one proud one who also wrote a high quote, i was fustrated my dear, but to GOD be the glory they are on my site still working, all of those i got on NL, knew i am not in nigeria coz i add them on watsapp, to cut long story short not all engineers aren't trust worthy

Thanks for your swift response sir's, I have read a lot about abestos and it's only risky if it's broken which will therefore release fiber to the air and that can be harmful if inhale.

But there is nothing if it's not damaged or broken. We have lived for decades in an abestos house and we still live strong and healthy.

Using abestos doesn't automatically means you will have lung cancer, ( there is precautions) please let's try and research more about abestos

Abestos is still everywhere in the market and people are still using it.

Pls let's talk about the DURABILITY between aluminum and abestos.

The lump sum allowed doe the electrical can not do the conduit system of wiring, Cost of cables alone will take almost if not all the allowed.. Remember conduit pipes, distribution boards and also boxes is part of electrical installations

The plumbing aspect also.

Wood cost 350k workmanship included and roofing(shingles, 18ft kingpost) cost 700k including labour, if you listen to most people on nairaland fear nor to let you build, their estimates are always very high.

i know the route, there is no express road there, just iseyin/saki road, after moniya around Alabata village. the railway line is at Ajibade oloshoko, not far from Kings college. i can help you with some pictures if i pass the route before monday. Points that matter to consider.

1. Do you have parapet on the building?
If you have parapet on the building, it will reduce the numbers of woods to be use and cost of capentry.

2.You have choosing stepped tiles, that is good, 2x3x12 woods will also reduce, because stone coated roofing sheets use more woods compare to stepped tiles.

3.The height of the king post you choose to use for the roofing carcass, will also determine the overall cost of roofing and covering, because it will increase or decrease the materials to be use.

4. The ceiling noggin spacing, if you are installing pop ceilng in the family lounge, and the rooms, and toilets, the ceiling noggin spacing is 2ft by 2ft, and it use more of 2x2x12 woods, compare to the pvc that use 2ft by 4ft ceiling noggin spacing.
