Google7:

You are a good student of distorted history.
World over, You are either a royal or a commoner. Royalty is only conferred by birth or colonization Through war. That's why Y orubas even went further to posit that "omo eru, eru naa ni"

Ooni's father's served Alaafin's father, Oduduwa who was the 1st person to rule Yoruba kingdom. The 2nd and the last person to rule Yoruba kingdom is Aladdin, the crown Prince of Oduduwa whose inheritance was the land - you must have heard yoruba saying " Alaafin loin ile "

Alaafin actually ruled, installed and removed kings in all of Yoruba kingdom up to Benin republic and colonized us to adopt Oyo dialect which we have come to accept as universal Yoruba language in which Yoruba bible is written.

OONI remained a trusted staff (chief priest) who the established princes and princess left to coordinate their ancestral home, Ife. Oduduwa was never a ruler of ife. He was never an OONI, so no OONI is occupying Oduduwa's throne. Oduduwa's throne died with him and was shared in inheritances to his grandchildren.

There has never been doubt as to the traditional supremacy in Yoruba land until the ascension of flamboyant and rich Sijuade. If you doubt Google the case of esubiyi vs Lagos state where they had to consult ALAAFIN to decide Oba of Lagos title.

ALAAFIN of Oyo and his fathers have never been slaves to anybody, NEVER! You must have heard the saying- "Oyo o se eru baba eni kan" not even the ooni his staff.

It's sacrilegious to Oduduwa's heritage to place his slaves over his crown Prince or any of his princes for that matter.

You guys need to stop rehashing this false Oyocentric history that was told by Rev. Samuel Johnson. Ooni of Ife is no royal servant. The Ife throne is the number one royal throne in Yoruba land. Even Oranmiyan who founded Oyo later abandoned the Alaafin throne to forcefully take over the bigger and more important Oduduwa throne at Ile Ife.

Below is the list of Ooni of Ife from the time of Oduduwa till date. Tell me which of the former Ooni was a slave to anybody.

THE agelong hostilities between Modakeke and Ile-Ife are now over after the traditional ruler of Modakeke, the Ogunsua, Chief Francis Adedoyin, visited the Ooni Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, yesterday and prostrated to him, saying he (Ooni) was his (Ogunsua's) father. Time was 3.30p.m.

What does Igbo mean in Yoruba? Is there any meaning to it at all even if its semantic? There has to be an untold historical reason for the so many Igbo appendages in Yoruba words.

Could the Oni of Ife be right that Igbos migrated from Yorubaland to South East?

Igbos actually migrated from Ile-Ife. Ooni of Ife’s historical account is very accurate. Even the Obi of Onitsha and the Eri king knows Igbos historical link to Ile-Ife. Scientific proof (through DNA), spiritual proof (through Ifa corpus), and linguistic proof abounds.

Ugbo, sometimes called Igbo, because they were inhabitants of the forest (Igbo).

Continue, keep on disgracing yourself. Have I ever argue that Ooni is not powerful or influential than Ogunsua? No, I don't think I uttered such since, but you Jez feel like showing urself small. Smh!!! What am saying is that, Ogunsua is a crown king and not a Baale as u said. Even if modakeke is not more than a street according to ur lordship, that's never a problem,Jesus christ of Nazareth was also from a small village... So Mr man, am not bothered.

Our best school? Bros talk wetin you know nao, is it royal or acada that was been burnt then ni? Cause I didn't understand..... .
Concerning Ogunsua calling Ooni his father, talking about age, both are dead now, but then, Adedoyin was older than sijuwade. I don't see any big deal there, except alaafin of oyo, virtually all king in yoruba land will address Ooni like that, especially that one eye monster call sijuwade, not the meek and gentle Ooni you have now that can even prostrate for alakinla of akinlalu.
