GloryIsaac: You need to watch the seasons' again and get a different view. In as much as its a movie, you should also be aware of ancient stories in times of war......... 1) She is the heir to the throne and in her quest to conquer those who refused to bend the knee will be given the ultimate punishment/sentence. The other option was to put them in prison, seize their lands, strip them of their titles, etc,etc.....but she got no time for such. Her burning act sent the right message. And that did in no way qualify her to be called the mad queen. 2) She was never the mad queen. Vary's was only toying with the possibility of making things right which he claims. He has his reasons same ways little finger does what he does. Vary was warned and he took his chances. The roles played by both Varys and Tyrion was sort of to have a balance of character. Varys claims to do whatever he does for the interest of the throne and we all see where the interest takes us to after the death of more than 5 kings. Tyrion is not interested in such scheming interests. 3) Dany is filled with hatred over alot of things and given the history of the mad king she refused making certain decisions and allowed her appointed staffs to play their roles effectively. A true leader needs such traits even if he/she may likely not adhere to the advices/decisions from others. 4) Two things made her do that. 1, The beheading of Missandei. 2, Yes she was enraged, and she never wanted to believe the sounding of the bells will actually make Cersei to surrender and Tyrion has actually been outsmarted by Cersei on his every move. With just one Dragon to her breast there's no need playing soft. You don't expect her to lose all her children and not win the last war. 5) Yes, she coveted the throne and wanted it at all cost. So she expected Jon who is a nephew to make his real identity a secret. She has previously made her intentions known to Sansa when she refused letting go, of the Northern Kingdoms to be on their own and have their king. 14 Likes 3 Shares |

Of all GOT’s main characters who survived the Siege of King’s Landing, who did you think was the biggest loser? Who lost the most? Having a go at each other here, myself and a couple of annoying colleagues, with regards to the poser above. I strongly feel the answer is Tyrion. And my reasons are as follows ; 1) Dude went the extra mile, including risking his neck by setting Jaime free, to ensure that there was no bloodshed in KL. But as it happened, shiit turned a batty bloodbath that left thousands of burnt bodies in its wake. 2) Might get punished in the last episode for betraying Dany again. 3) Lost his siblings in the horror show. 4) Can't be said to be an excellent judge of character anymore, can he? Certainly not after failing to see Dany for whom she is. 5) Most likely doesn't feel like he has a queen in Dany anymore. Might even find himself committing regicide before the show is done (that's if he sticks around for much longer) 5 Likes |

mandysmum:I get that the mind sees what it wants to see, Jon removed the 1st set of stones and said half of the northern armies are gone, grey worm removed the stones of the unsullied to also indicate half of them being wiped out, and the Lord Royce of the Vail followed suit, what other stuff are you talking about. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Ringing the bell signifies surrender? Who rang the bell and surrendered? Was it the soldiers of Kings Landing who surrendered and rang the bell? Was it the ruler of KL Cersei who surrendered and rang the bell or was it Jamie who was tutored to ring the bell by the serial betrayer Tyrion in a bid to save his sister? 9 Likes 4 Shares |

bixton: I'm definitely going to rewatch everything - Season 1 - Season 8 - some time later. With that being said, truth is, there is really no justification for Dany's madness. The reason is because her life is very similar to that of her father. Varys served under her father, so he has a very impressive curriculum vitae when it comes to knowing the Targaryans. Even Ser Barristan Selmy was wary of it. "I am no maester to quote history at you, Your Grace. Swords have been my life, not books. But every child knows that the Targaryens have always danced too close to madness. Your father was not the first. King Jaehaerys once told me that madness and greatness are two sides of the same coin. Every time a new Targaryen is born, he said, the gods toss the coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land." - Ser Barristan (To Daenarys a.k.a Mad Queen) There are similarities between her life and her father's, and how they reacted to situations when pissed off. So if you defend her actions and say she isn't mad, then you can also defend her father's actions and say he isn't mad, whereas he is known as The Mad King. This is part of her conversation with Tyrion in the throne room... Tyrion: "The people who live there. They’re not your enemies. They’re innocents, like the ones you liberated in Meereen." Dany: "In Meereen, slaves turned on the masters and liberated the city themselves the moment I arrived." Tyrion: "They’re afraid. Anyone who resists Cersei will see his family butchered. You can’t expect them to be heroes. They’re hostages." Dany: "They are. In a tyrant’s grip. Whose fault is that? Mine?" Tyrion: "What does it matter whose fault it is? Thousands of children will die if the city burns." Dany: "Your sister knows how to use her enemies’ weaknesses against them. That’s what she thinks our mercy is.....Weakness." Tyrion: "I beg you, my queen..." Dany: ....but she’s wrong. Mercy is our strength. Our mercy toward future generations who will never again be held hostage by a tyrant." This conversation clearly shows that Daenarys had already made up her mind on burning the city, innocents included. The only thing that would have stopped this is if the people fought Cersei like the slaves in Meeren and saved her the stress of even fighting a soul. Which could also have meant that they love her, the love she has been searching for. Unfortunately, the people of Westeros and the people of Essos are quite different. She was highly pissed that she had to scare them before they rang the bell, so since they prefer fear, let it be so. "Dracarys". "Burn them all". 10 Likes 1 Share |

Aystarz: I support you on it being Tyrion. Tyrion' s case is literally finished, like.....dead Dany clearly warned him that any other "Bleep up" from him will cost him his life.... and what did he do next? ....Release the man that killed her father. Tyrion is gone. Like...for real His only saving grace will be if Dany - and Greyworm - dies. Any thing other than that, and House of Lannister will be closed forever. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

GloryIsaac: Nice one. Apologies but we don't know the mad king other than what we were told or some stories/quotes made about the mad-Ness of the Targaryens. Don't you think it was a deliberate act to send Maester Aemon to the Night Watch? I'd want to stick to what the movie offered, following everybody's role and judging their actions. The actions of the characters is quite limited in the season movie when compared to that in the novel's. Every word spoken you quoted, has just 2 sides like a coin. And most of those words don't have literal meanings as we make want them to. Those it would benefit or affect are the real actors and everything depends on how each plays out their roles. |

Maxcollins042: Why was he pissed when he was made a steward in the Night's watch? If I hated fighting, I'll be contended with that position, but no! He wanted to swing a sword. I don't actually care about what those directors explained! I'm watching what they produced and it's enough to draw my conclusion. Sam Tarly was trained to fight, but he hated it. That's why he has poor swordsmanship. He would have tried to learn if he had a slight zeal to fight. 2 Likes |

kenturkish: Sorry, do you know fighting and killing people are two different things? What he hated was killing people - something he's also good at. Jon loved training people how to fight. Honestly, I don't expect this from someone who hates the act. I'm sorry, I don't agree with you guys. 1 Like |

Aystarz:I said it here last week that dany will go mad and varys and tyrion will die and some guys were arguing thrash. If you really want to understand GOT don't listen to the words only, pay very close attention to their facial expressions. When cersei slept with euron and he said i will put a prince in your belly notice how cersei twitched and turned that was when i knew she would pin it on the mofo. Your points are very much on point. Let me add some: Tyrion ought to have been killed with varys but I guess the writers decided to postpone his death to E6 using the Jamie brouhaha meaning his trial and death (if he dies) will bring major events in E6. Did you also notice the look on Jon's face when he looked at Dany while drogon was killing varys. He was like dis babe mean oo, also the look on his face when dany was attacking the city despite hearing the bells. Flashback to s4 when dany watched while tormund praised snow, her face was filled with jealously and the camera guy also showed her face whenever in the background when tormund was saying "he just keeps fighting" "he never stops". E6 is going to be a fight between dany and Jon, only one or both will die, but I think only dany will die sha. 1 Like |

GloryIsaac: Well, it seems as though our man is prepared for the dire consequences, as he says to Jaime just before freeing him, "Tens of thousands of innocent lives (for) one not particularly innocent dwarf ; seems like a fair trade." That moment got me teary-eyed by the way. 4 Likes |

bixton: @first bolded This is why Season 1 is very important. Truly, we don't know the Mad King, but based on those stories about him.... the conversation between Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark, Robert and Jaimie, Ser Barristan Selmy, even Grand Maester Pycelle He was a good man, such a charmer. To watch him melt away right before my eyes....consumed by dreams of fire and blood... - Grand Maester Pycelle It's clear that they wanted us to have good knowledge of who the man was, based on stories told by those who sat with him and rebelled against him. Maester Aemon deliberately made a decision to join the Nights Watch because he wanted to be away from the political games being played. @Second bolded That's why their words were important. I believe that if they really wanted to start from the very beginning, it would have swallowed their budget. So, a lot of events were put into words, to carry us along. @Third bolded As earlier said, their words have more meaning than we might even think. Arya killing the Night King is a strong proof. In as much as i was pissed, shocked, annoyed, frozen etc that of all the characters, Arya was the one who killed my king. It was clearly foretold by Melisandre, but we paid little attention to those words. "I see a darkness in you. And in that darkness, eyes staring back at me. Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes. Eyes sealed shut forever. We will meet again." - Melisandre (To Arya) It's a pity that G.O.T is coming to an end, if not for anything, it personally taught me how important words are, no matter how or where or when it is said. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Which scene, would you say, got the more emotion out of Tyrion - the one we saw with Jaime in the last episode or the one with Oberyn,as the Dornish Prince tells him about how everyone, including his own sister , treated him like a monster back at Casterly Rock? |

GloryIsaac: Good, Good , Good. Those words reinvigorated Arya and if I'm not mistaken that's like the second time she spoke against not giving in to death. The Night king was a pretty nice guy. It was good the producer/director gave him 2 special facial expressions in his entire role. I so wished there were not in a rush to put the movie to conclusion. There are so many secrets left unexplained. 3 Likes |

joseff14: Without a doubt. A pregnant woman stabbed multiple times in the belly is horrific to even imagine. The gory death of that beauty generated alot of controversies that year man. I'm guessing it's the one reason that stopped the showrunners from devising the same 'plan' for Cersei. 3 Likes |
