Tbills is really going down these days. I saw the rate for primary auction this week 12.49% for 364 days, 12.30% for 282days and 10,% and I just weak. Hmm things dey happen

Na d reason wey i just "jejely" moved my fund like my name to the stock market when First bank returned my money yesterday on the grounds of failed bids when i can easily get a dividend yield of around 14% from UBA and Zenith at their current price.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 17 MAY 2019

MTN did as expected, sending the bears out. We expect the yellow party to continue. MSCI showed up committing $91,000 to the market.

The key level for the all share index for today is 28,586.80. Once the index closes above this level, the party will continue.

By the time MTN, with its 20bn units as said, hits N200 it will become the most capitalized company on NSE with DANGCEM coming a close second position. The level of index distortion these two stocks will wreck on NSE is better imagined especially on days they both gain or both lose.

Word. Dangote Cement and MTN will need to be factored out when trying to get the true picture of the index.

If you don't need it ,simply stay on the sideline and watch the price move. You guys have said alot in this mtn listing.

MTN Nigeria will continue to be an important arm of the MTN Group. Therefore, I do not think they will want to play any pranks with the Nigerian market. It is a huge market that I feel still has a lot of returns to the group. We can only bid our time to get a bite of the pie. The dividend yields of Seplat, Nestle and of late Dangote Cement have not been stellar relative to their market prices. It, therefore, means that MTNN at N200 is only following such tradition.

I will buy the stock at the right time. Meanwhile, let me continue to load Zenith and UBA.

You can say that to stocks like Transcorp.Stocks like Mtn,Nestle and Dangote cem are in a different category.

Let it ride to #200 first and let's see how it will roll back to #90.

You are really a dividend hunter, 14% dividend yield on those two is too much to ignore.

There is nothing like different category. It is still market sentiment. Just because market sentiment favors them today doesn't mean it will tomorrow.

Overvalued is overvalued especially when it will take more money to make 1 naira compared to other companies.

There is a difference between a good business, and a good investment.

Boss. It is dangerous to assume that this will continue to be so.

Just because this companies have always been expensive doesn't mean they will always be or have a higher price. Forget all the regulations put in place to cushion shocks, when the next crude oil drop happens there is no way investors will be happy to keep paying a premium for something that has been devalued already, it could be this scenario or any other bubble bursting scenario.

It seems something is going on in transcorp with the rate they rushed it xtyday and the offer today, looks unusual to the normal one.
Could it be that they are a beneficiary in this whole mtn episode or their acquisition is getting positive attention? lipsrsealed Just wondering. grin

We were the set after yours, BOSS. Dangote at today's price has N16 cum dividend. That gives a yield of 8.9%. It has always hovered around 225 to 250. So Dangote Cement is cheaper at today's price
