Been a long time since you last exercised....then start with a 30 minute daily walk and build it up from there.

Reduce the football for now. You are not fit. And it is going to take time to get back to being fit.

Check that BP too by the way.

Could also be a congential heart issue.

Kanu had one, which was not discovered until he had an echocardiogram. Once it was fixed...back in action.

Fabrice Muamba had an unknown heart issue....until he collapsed while playing in 2012. Again genetics. Had a pacemaker fitted...although that was the end of his playing days.

Marc Vivien Foe , ex cameroon international...had a congential heart issue...that eventually killed him while playing

You need a bit by bit exercise. You can start by jogging 5 times round the field before match. Don't play a big field for now. You will become fit after a while if u consistent.

Most cause of sudden death in young athlete is atrial fibrillation secondary to a dilated cardiomyopathy. I'll suspect that.

Me too!.My heart would be racing very fast and I would feel like fainting most of the time-Not trying to make light of it but; my eyes will just be turninoninown...then after a while it will subside.To be sincere,the thing dey make fear catch me sometimes but...I just too like football

The guy didn't do his ECG as a freshman on campus because Dr Ogunlade the Cardiologist who is ECG specialist in OAUTHC in Hospital and Campus center, and the author of the BEST STANDARD ONLY ECG TEXTBOOK in Nigeria would have seen it. I trust his judgment and he is god of ECG in Nigeria. My friend used to tell me more about him and his works. His passion about ECG and he has the data base for all students who are willing to come for screening.He has over 20,000/ECG's for newly admitted student's. I know he will warn the guy severely and tell him what to do.
Whoever that knows Dr Ogunlade will know what ECG MEANS TO HIM.

please don't play soccer again, even if you want to do exercise, please make it a very short one...The more your breath increases that way you narrated, the closer one get to slump and die..God forbid

Hmmmmm exactly what am passing through. I played lots of football during my secondary school days and i can play from beginning till end, but after sec, i stopped. In my year one in higher institution i tried playing once and nearly collapsed after playing for 5min. Since then i quite, ma no come die ontop wetn ah no no

Same thing happen to me, anytime I don't play football for a long time, when I start to play again I get exhausted easily and my heart beats as if it wants to pop out. I will just chill for a few minutes n I will gain myself back.

I don't think succer is the issue, it happens to alot of people, if u stop sport activities for a long time, when u start again, such things happens. It happen to me too.

Time to include cpr and first aid in our curriculum

This is exactly what happens to me too. It last for about 30 minutes. I feel like I will soon pass out. I wonder what could be the cause.
