Let not your heart be troubled. What it simply means is that, they contacted some applicants via mail to complete their application by uploading some documents and its only those applicants that can log in. Since you weren't sent that mail, you can't log in even with the right details.

The timer by the side is still for those applicants affected...

For you to gain more you must be ready to read from page 1 to this current Page. Link on past questions have been shared several times on this page.BIt is not easy but you must spare time to go through people's comments, you won't need all the comments but you must have to go through all. It is more like writing literature review.

Good day everyone, no hope should be dashed, NNPC will always get it right when it comes to shortlisting,in fact things have even improved since it is not just handled by those in towers but by a committee which is composed of representative by other SBU'S too (Strategic business unit or you say subsidiaries).The screening of documents is even done electronically but i can't really tell how the software does such. I pity those who are already losing hope about the process,once you are qualified and do well in your interview even your village people can't stop you. In fact most persons i know who got jobs in NNPC are based on merit , you won't be fair too if you don't expect top management to also recommend their candidates for such process (It is part of the practice world wide although worst in Nigeria). Just prepare and wait on standby . From the schedule of the committee the test date have passed which ought to have come in April but certainly new dates will come up,they are trying to get it right this time around and also trying to be fair to all . I wish everyone goodluck. Don't ever lose hope in the process. Those who got this job in 2007 on merit can testify.

Its true that some people would get the job on merit. The only issue is that the number to be taken on merit would be too small which is wrong. This last DPR recruitment in 2017 I know 3 first class graduates who applied and reached the interview stage but none of them were selected. Where nepotism starts is from the interview stage. Many people would be called for screening and assessment but that interview is where you all we know that they have been wasting your time all along. Those that would be appointed based on merit would be VERY few. My advice is to not put your 100% hope on this job. Pray and leave the rest. its not by meeting all the criteria o. Its only by God's miracle or have a god father.

Yes there might have been some form of nepotism or not, who knows What if they flopped their interviews Story of my life, i and a friend got through for an interview, I had a better grade but she was taken. Both in the same interview room I could see the passion on her face while she conversed with the interviewer, I had previously crammed something's from Google, was so nervous, long story short, she knew her onions and sold herself better. Study hard, pass your apptitude test and most importantly slay your interview and there's no stopping you. I wish everyone God's favour. With luv
