Lol most of the characters on GOT are acting out of character. Anything can happen.
Characters transition. There's nothing unusual they're doing.

This was like the last battle and Cersie prepared to face the Dany's soldiers headon.

No its the other way around, you crush the leaders direct and not go about killing innocent people claiming you want to crush the spirit of the leaders.

So killing the innocent peasant citizens was supposed to crush Cersie's spirit. Ha, i laff in Valarian grin Cersie that does not give a fvck and a damn about the citizens that spat and threw shyte on her during the walk of shame.
bro, wars physical aspect is always apparent and most times overwhelming, but do not ever underestimate the power of psychological warfare, to do that would be a great mistake! Cersei's greatest defeats where never in the kingslanding war theater against danny, they were in the shadows and hearts of the adversaries that killed her children, some people who understood psychological warfare well we're tywin lannister and Ramsay bolton

If she had some inspiration revelation to do what she did. Atleast, We would understand why she did it.

Your first paragraph is assuming she was given that instruction.

You now construct your second paragraph like she was actually given that instruction.
i am not saying she definitely had a revelation, I am only pointing out the apparent hypocrisy of saying killing of non combatant women and children is justified or more acceptable because a divine being and not a fictional mortal being orders or carries it out

who even said Cercie was the one that put wildfire there? We only saw them and people surmised it was Cercie's.
in the context of this narrative, it is a relatively safe bet to assume that cersei would do that if she could because i believe you'd agree with me that the people didn't booby trap their residences with wildfire but probably there's a better explanation

Cersei didn't kill children and women in their thousands, innocents. That's the difference.

I wonder how some of you can choose to be willfully blind to the madness of Dany's actions. She's mad. End of. There's no 'but'.
cersei never had the means to do that

I didnt want to answer anymore but let me just indulge you this last time.

So you are implying Dany wanted to crush Cersie psychologically by burning the city and poor peasants. The same peasants that Cersie never cared for. How would that have crushed Cersie?

Somebody that just killed Missandei it is to crush the person psychologically that is your best revenge?

Lets just watch the last episode and see what it brings. Maybe drogon will end up ruling the 7 kingdoms.

Stop shifting goalposts.

This is not a Bible and Quran debate.

This is also not the American invasion debate.

You said Cersei did worse and she wasn't called mad. I'm telling you she didn't kill innocents, including children in their thousands.

The 'If' statement doesn't count. You brought in the Cersei analogy, so stop speaking in probabilities now.
no it is not, it is a human nature debate, a discourse on the duality of human emotions, thoughts and actions, and guess what? G.R.R.M says that's what the books are about too

I thought so as well until I watched everything again. Check my earlier posts, I earlier believed no one was acting out of character.
But try to imagine you just started watching GOT, and you watched everything from season 1 till the end. That Dany turning to a mad queen will be so shocking and crazy to you. And Jamie running back to meet cercei....that's crazy. Based on the character development in previous seasons, we all thought Jamie was going to kill Cercei.

If you are a fan of that obsessed and selfish queen that killed innocent people of KL because Jo refused to fvck her, please do well to use this medium opportunity to brag and say whatever you want to say, because by this time tommorow after the death of Danny.

Her fans will be like...........

Yeah the the betrayals, loss of viserion and Missandei, jons rejection and knowing that she wasnt exactly the true heir all affected her emotions, thought process and actions is the reason why she would want to ONLY crush Cersie psychologically by burning innocent people instead of going for kill directly. I get!

you're thinking things up that's delusional. Why will Cersei dig up something that is already buried under all the major buildings in Kingslanding and plant them back where she dug them up?
Cersei didn't in anyway anticipate losing considering how easily the first two dragons died
why? To blow up an invading army as a last wild card move, you're asking this question about a cersei who blew up the Sept with same wildfire to eliminate perceived enemies and who was then faced with actual enemies, and you say I'm delusional? undecided

Aerys planted wildfire during Robert's rebellion at random places in the city. The wildfire I saw was insignificant compared to the dragon fire. The major defense of Cercie was the scorpion and the golden company. That's why she had to leave after they were destroyed.

good, you know that, Danny knows that too, cersei most definitely knows Danny knows that so what could Danny do to wreak havoc on cersei's psychology? Set fire to her assumed fool proof defense while she watched, and you think that wasn't psychological warfare?

i wouldn't disagree with you at all, I will only implore you to open your imagination to the possibility that cersei as a lannister could have another card to play in such an important battle for the throne where defeat meant death

Now I get it! I finally got it!

D & .D has once again proven their genius, these men deserve every accolade they have ever gotten. Imagine the brilliance! The wisdom and level of wits these men possess.

No one could have ever seen this coming, I repeat no one. I had to laugh and throw my fist in the air when I figured it out. The backlash, the petitions... It was all for nothing. I can't believe the fans never saw it; being a community that prides itself with paying attention to details and all.

What am I blabbing about? The last episode of course!

When all that craziness happened, I thought to myself (this can't be! Our queen can't do such!) I'm not here to defend her actions but to point out an obvious misunderstanding.

It wasn't Dany, it wasn't her. Remember how we don't see her again after the bell tolled and she took off with drogon and torched the city. Well apparently, the moment drogon ascended into the sky, our beloved queen lost her balance and fell off the dragon's back.

All that torching was the sole handwork of drogon, Dany had no hand in it. There is even the possibility that she might have hit her head during the fall and therefore died off screen but that's a theory.

Now everyone has labeled her a mad queen, calling her out for committing mass murder and so forth. I on the hand would like to take this opportunity to clear the air concerning these allegations and defend our queen. It is true the city burned due to her arrival, but it wasn't her intention, her intentions were good; it was that beast! The winged shadow... Acting out of fury for loosing both his brothers in this strange land, totally neglecting the feelings of it's mother and acting out of sentiment and pure rage.

And in case you want to see prove. Here it is.

Denial is the first stage of grief.

They wanted to focus on the damage she was causing, which is why she wasn't shown much. But it is her handiwork 100 percent.

melodyogonna:

You have not been paying attention, she was in a very mad rage.
When Rhaenys was killed by scorpion bolt in Dorne, Aegon her brother(and husband) and Visenya her sister both mounted their dragons and burned dorned soo much only charred black stones. Dorne was burned and burned again, then burned again and again and again without minding if there were innocent people or not - that's what happens when someone is in mad rage.
Wars do not have a happy ending.

And she didn't focus her anger on destroying innocent civilians, she focused her anger on a city that has caused her so much pain since she was a child; innocent civilians just happened to be in the city when they should be outside it.

People normally run away from cities when it's about to be sacked or besieged not the other way around.
If a city is besieged - thousands of innocent people, sometimes millions starve. if a city is stormed, thousands of innocent people are killed, only difference is thousands of innocent ladies get raped as well. If a city is marked to be destroyed completely - well.

Sorry, are you in anyway trying to justify her actions? You said she was in a mad rage and I just told you other characters have had their mad moments, too. None of them vented their anger on poor citizens and cities. We shouldn't be arguing based on poor writings or what the writers wants it to be.

Dany had always wanted to sit on the iron throne. That's the only thing she ever wanted. You can't tell me she got mad and decided to burn what she wanted. The girl got mad and did what no one thought she would do. She didn't target buildings alone, she targeted humans, too. See, there's nothing you can say that can make an insane human sane. She's mad; she went mad and that's it!

I believe this last episode will solve everything. She should just kill everyone including herself.
