olajide21:. But this library noisy sha.... It's used more as a tourist attraction by people, and excursion/visits by schools, best bet is to read on the 4th floor in the art (brown) room.....a bit quiet there.... 6 Likes |

I donno who might see this but honestly I had to post this cos I'm so overwhelmed. I'm resuming for my PhD september in Kingston and going with my family. (We are a family of 3). I've been trying to sort out the accommodation end. I dont think I should book an apartment just like that. I'm thinking a short stay airbnb for starters. Anyone in Kingston that can recommend one or put me through. Abeg my brothers and sisters help a soul. Thanks |

Hello everyone, pls permit my question. Can I land a job (any kind) with a 4yr tourist/visit multiple entry visa? The agent I'm discussing with said this is possible so I want to find out from gurus on ground already. I'm a graduate of Mass Communication but I'm not a professional -have not been working with my certificate. I've also posted this question on the Federal Skill Worker thread (before someone will say "this is not the right place to ask this question." @DatechMan @nomad26 @czaratwork @CanadianNaija |

Hotstepper: Ok thank you so much. No any other supporting documents, is it just the Nigerian drivers license ? |

centoqoh: You are not supposed to work with a tourist/visit visa...i haven't landed yet either, so i am not a guru on ground. You will probably call me a hater for saying this, but I will advise you though, going abroad without the right papers in this era, is just you going to suffer. Try the student visa route, do a 2yrs program at least, that way you are sure of a route towards permanent residency. 19 Likes |

oluayebenz: @oluayebenz: Please don’t be offended about the question I am about to ask. I am asking the question because I am genuinely confused. On another discussion thread, you mentioned to have lived in Canada before for 2 years (from 2014 to 2016) and you are here now asking question if somebody on visit visa can drive in Toronto with Nigeria driver’s license? Should you not know the answer to this question having lived in Canada for 2 years? Granted that you might not have lived in Ontario (where Toronto is located), but having lived that long anywhere in Canada should you not know the answer to your question? oluayebenz: 6 Likes |

You can't land a good job without a social insurance number in Canada; and you can't get a social insurance number as a tourist. If you don't want to suffer, don't try the illegal route, either migrate through permanent residency or as a student. Be patient and migrate properly! centoqoh: 9 Likes |

JESUnifemi4eva: Thanks for your response but like I said, I'm no professional! In fact, nothing to hide, I'm a driver so I believe d federal skill work isn't it for me. All I see there is doctors, engineers, nurses, accountants, teachers, programmers, etc. Plus, Proof of Fund is another hindrance in the academic route u mentioned. Thanks all d same. |

naijaman3: Kai..... Some people sef... Living in Toronto 20yrs doesn't mean someone to know everything going on over there. Cos I have lived there doesn't mean I should give someone info I'm not sure about. Even the citizens will still ask you of what they are not sure about. Do you know all rules and law in nigeria? I'm yet to reply the lady involved cos I can't give info of what I'm not certain about. 9 Likes |

Guy, dont count yourself out man!!! you a graduate of mass comm, and I believe you must have completed ur NYSC, those alone qualifies you for EE. All you need do is make out time each week and study for ielts and write it. It will only take time, but its better you come here with the right papers than with visiting visa. You have visited the EE thread, so take out and understand the EE process, you don't need an agent. centoqoh: 7 Likes |

Very rare. Most companies would ask if you will require a visa to work with them and if yes, the process ends there and you cant work with visitors visa centoqoh: 2 Likes |
