Earthquake3: Your post which I quoted was that we should not be looking at Bundesliga2 because we have players in top leagues. As if the so called players are some of the best in the world and playing in top clubs gunning for trophies. 1 Like |

Earthquake3: I did not mention the word INVITE...i just said he is eligilble...what if tomorrow he grows to play wonderful football and gets promoted to Bundesliga 1...should we not invite him or do we leave him out because he started in Bundesliga 3...? This young man could grow to be bigger than Chairman Chukwu,Keshi,Nwanu....where he started does not matter... Come to think of it..it is even better for our players to learn in lower Bundesliga teams before coming up...we have not really been successful with players going directly to Bundesliga teams...Okocha came up from Bundesliga 2 too,Akpoborire too, Ojigwe toiled and toiled...Ujah was somewhat different...we have not really excelled so much in Bundesliga 1..compared to Spanish,French,Belgium,Italian and Dutch teams where Nigerians played 2 Likes |

Earthquake3: I have always said I have preference for a outstanding consistent top performing player in a lower league than a anonymous one in a top league or club. Which of our defenders have been consistently outstanding in the top 5 leagues of Europe beyond making up the numbers and or occasionally mentioned as having a good performance. Please name one ❓ |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by komekn(m): 9:08am On May 20, 2019 |
Earthquake3: Watched him since he was 14 at City not particularly impressive. This is first season on loan, he has not been outstanding just about ok. He is way below Fikayo Tomori in all departments. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by komekn(m): 9:11am On May 20, 2019 |
charlesemeka85: That substantiates my position, l will rather have an outstanding top performing consistent player in a lower league and club. Than an anonymous mouse in a top club and league. Dele Alli went from MK Dons straight to Tottenham and England first team in one season literally. 3 Likes |

Humility017: Very very premature to make that deduction. Until he starts playing first team football on loan or in Man city, it's all just potential. NOTHING ELSE. The step up from youth football is not always that easy. 1 Like |

charlesemeka85: I really don't use U23 competitions to assess progression it's indicative at best of potential. Once a player gets to 19 he should really be playing first team football if he has good quality. Anything less means there are question marks about his abilities. If you are in top team with limited opportunities then you need to go on loan. Tega Abrahams loan moves have made him arguably the best young striker in the England the same goes for Fikayo Tomori possibly best young central defender in England too. |

Either Semi Ajayi or Chidozie Awaziem will be dropped. Both are fighting for the RB position. Iheanacho, Onuacha or Osimhen will be dropped. They are fighting for striker slot. |
