Many people attacking this guy here will be the first to apply. Is it not in this country that we have graduate working in financial institutions with the salary of 40 to 80k monthly.
Many people saying rubbish here are working in pure water factory or doing sales rep at alaba market collecting commission of less than 50k monthly on sale.
Pls stop living a fake life and face the reality for once

There are various ways to this..
Now, employing graduates as a driver will make it more respecting, they will have the courtesy to communicate to commuters and good maintenance culture.
So to me , I don't see anything bad in employing a graduate as a driver so far the money is commensurate..
They dont get to wash the buses, all they need to is convoy the commuters to their destination...

Making graduate bus driver is not new as long as they are well paid...in america they have 50000 PhD every year..don't be surprise when u see a PhD holder in america as a bar man

Oga go to this US and come back first.
The US you're talking about have established organisations that are willing and ever ready to take in job seekers. Less than 10% of graduates in US only work jobs below their paygrade. At graduation, organization's visit schools during convocation to accept eligible graduates. If a PhD holder doesn't have a job, he is already equipped with entrepreneurial skills.

But you can use your seven years medical degree in Nigeria to butcher meat at Walmart for Yankee as an illegal immigrant. These are things we see happening to Nigerians in the diaspora.

that is a governor with a vision and heart of revolution....

we all know the truth that in USA or Britain etc overseas countries, Nigerians graduates are proud working as mortuary attendants,

gardeners, Taxi drivers or even nannies..etc...so, it is not the job that is bad!...it is the recognition and remunerations!

that is why we all rely on certificates and the situation grows to worse everyday..!

Just imagine?

This is what our politicians have reduced graduates to. It's not about the 100k. It's about the dignity. Instead of creating a job befitting people's certificate, he is talking about graduates doing Agbero on BRT buses.
So you think that's not a job? What then is job for you? Keep talking about dignity till hunger finish you. Let me come and be going.

Smh. Even graduates that have not held a job and doing nothing since they graduated over 5-yrs or more ago are complaining about the initiative -- some of whom won't mind doing same overseas. Well, those that are interested will apply while the complainers can keep waiting till they land a job at shell or chevron.

What makes them a leader? Most graduates travelling abroad sending you money ended up driving taxis, buses, ticketing, security guards etc. You just talk based on your limited idea and exposure. The job is not by force, but for few trainable graduates

This is one great mistake that will emerge from the Table of Governor to be. Dont take the non graduate as nuisance or irresponsible fellow, thinking of employing graduates as drivers instead of checking for those with much knowledge, experience and skill is going to be a great mistake. The non graduates in Nigerian should not be sidelined it will surely increase criminality, kidnapping and all sorts of crime you can think of in Nigeria. Any certified Driver who has attended a driving school should be considered instead of you demanding for graduate. I want you to know that some are not graduate today just because they dont have any helper to finance their education. Politcians should balance our economy not just thinking about a particular a group of people. Mr Sanwo olu should be advised pls.

Sanwoolu is not putting his thinking cap on here.
There is a different btw. Increasing the quality/productivity of brt drivers and employing graduates to drive brt.
Money as an incentive does not make a graduate a good driver, quality training will turn a mechanic/plumber to become a good driver.
Dont use graduates unemployment as avenue to belittle years of academic struggle.
Fix your 3d thinking oga sanwoolu.
