Basher8583: China are not some bunch of good guys who want to sell u cheap products. They are playing their own political power game with their new growing economy. China has very controling and undiplomatic tendencies. Support them anyhow at ur own peril they will eventually turn u to their slaves if given the chance. They steal technology and don’t share theirs, always behaving like smart asses with no real good intentions. The us knows knows their game and are cutting them to size thanks to trump and they don’t like it. In China they protect their cyber space and markets and have the highest no of international students in the us most of them spys. The us has been tolerant bt huawei is taking it to a ridiculous level with its mobile technology as a front. This is a good move by the us. 2 Likes 1 Share |

iSlayer2: I saw a recent documentary on BBC World News. They are not just into smartphones production, Their strength comes mainly from their major compu-tech programming & installations. Its a very wealthy company. Why do u think the US is afraid of their technology. According to the documentary, HUAWEI was awarded a major contract to install CCTV systems in Pakistan's Capital Islamabad. But later technicians operating/controlling the systems discovered there were hidden tiny hardwares that sends data to HUAWEI's server, which the company said its nothing but to help detect faults easily from d systems in Pakistan. The US govt is more scared because of their 5G capabilities. |

jaxxy: Very True. US has been scared of them because of their tech powers especially now that they have come up with 5G network. In d documentary I saw, d US govt is scared that they might have spying systems which can collect data & send back to HUAWEI's servers, therefore giving them an edge over US security files. The US is scared of their Technology. |

For all the hatred that Trump gets, no president in the last 2 to 3 decades has done more to challenge the status quo than Trump. Dude is a blabbermouth, he's very vindictive but at the same time knows most of the business tricks in the books. China has the U.S by the balls tho, China plays by its own rules while U.S must abide by international and ethical laws. 1 Like |

martineverest: India cannot help them. These countries know that else the would have been using India for cheap labour tey tey. China remain no 1 destination for cheap labour and electronic parts. Ever been to Shenzen... Even the Indians you are making noise about depend on cheap Chinese tech. Nothing will happen to China. The country is already primed as the next world power. |

engrchykae: A. America is not a kid. China is the kid throwing tantrums after being disciplined for their years-long misbehavior. B. Any company can build their own OS. LG has WebOS used in their TVs. Samsung has Tizen used in their TVs n smartwatches. If Huawei thinks they can succeed where Microsoft, Blackberry, Samsung, and Mozilla failed; they are free to try. We all know it'd be a rip-off of Android and skinned like iOS since they're shameless IP thieves and copy cats. C. China was one of the principal parties that made the rules. They've forgotten that America can only inconvenience themselves for so long before striking. China should get in line or do their worst. |

martineverest: Well good for them. Even if they like they should come to Nigeria it doesn't change the fact that they will still need the Chinese one way or the other. The Chinese dominate the electronic world. https://amp.economist.com/business/2018/10/11/chinas-grip-on-electronics-manufacturing-will-be-hard-to-break |

Many are saying China will look inwards to develop an OS that can challenge Android. I really doubt it simply because there is no precedence of the Chinese pioneering a disruptive technology. Besides, the best of what they produce, are stolen technologies. 1 Like 1 Share |

Softmojo: On the global scale, how many people use the Chinese alternatives? This alternatives have not competed well in the global market. To gain world dominance, it’s not enough to create products that appeal only to your citizens. Don’t forget this products were forced down the throats of the Chinese people; They had no alternative because the competitions were banned by the government. The quest for world power forced them to open themselves up and American companies took advantage. Is there a Chinese alternative for Qualcomm snapdragons? Any alternative for intel and Microsoft office? Let’s be frank, this a major hit on the Chinese quest for become a world power and they may be forced to reconsider their stance on economic policies. |
