Sharrap. No one is asking for happily ever after.

Everything was rushed.

If they had spread it over 8-10 episodes, there would have been time for proper character development and well spaced dramatic developments

Ogbeni.....it was seeming like Happily ever after sh*t from the onset .....i know everything felt rushed... But what other things could they possibly add to the story line......Should Cersei give birth?? undecided..or should Varys grow a D lipsrsealed..or maybe each episode should have been like 30mins.....Not a total disaster to me

Critics just don't just criticize. In fact they determine how successful a movie will be 85% all the time.
Calling S8 of GoT wack might not suit well with you because of how you love it religiously, but the fact is that it's wack.

I am not bothered about Dany turning mad, but don't base the madness on her impulse. The excuse that people are saying she's been burning people doesn't hold. They were her enemies, if you don't kill your enemy, they will kill you.
So also, Tyrion has been dumb this season, same with Jon.

Sansa elevated to a big level of smartness e t.c
This made sense....

Just look at how the battle against the night king was staged.

Poor lighting and no swordfights for the night king and his generals.

A better war story would see the knight king sending in different waves. And then raising the dead from each wave and retreating.

What this means is that when the first wave of the dead army hits winterfell, they fight small, kill the living, then the night king raises the battle-fallen, then they retreat.

This means that with every wave, the dead kill some of the living and then add to their numbers. A long game that will see the living lose their fellow men, then add to the ranks of the dead.

For the aerial threat of two dragons, the knight king would use his dragon and then also equip his generals with spears- using the same style he use to spear and kill the first dragon.

Then, to save the day, John Snow and Arya Stark could fly woth one dragon low key over the battlefield to go on a covert mission to kill the knight king.

Furthermore, knowing the strength of the dead, Jon snow and his people could have prepared better. They could have dug a pit round winterfell and kept wood and other inflamables in the pit. This would serve as a trap for the army of the dead

What happened to the flammable liquid they used against Stannis Baratheon? Did Tyrion Lannister forget to produce some? That would have helped them against the dead.

I am not a movie writer but this here is a better script that would have extended the war to 1.5 episodes and it would have been more interesting.

I can write more on Denerys Targaryean if you want.

You gave credit to Danny for killing her enemies, but you give the stick to Tyrion for believing in her, I see nothing wrong in both cases.
Jon has always been the self effacing type, he even struggled to accept the Lord Commander title of the Night Watch, so nothing new here.

Unfortunately GOT had to come to an end, it was inevitable we just had to accept.

If you want to give GOT a proper ending, you will need another season with at least 8 episodes to tie up all the loose ends, but I guess the creators are in a hurry to get GOT out of their hair, why this is the case is what am really curious about, not what the critics say.

Afterall the critics also said Tiki Taka could never work in the EPL grin

There's no point employing tactics......the odds are in the night king's favour....the dead greatly outnumbers the living 20 to 1 or more....employing tactics would be pointless...if Arya had been few mins late....we'd see the end of North, Dothrakis, et al....As for winterfell's defence....ill agree with you

Wrong.

The battle could have been a siege. When it comes to sieges, superior numbers do not always matter.

Had Jon snow prepared with proper siege tactics, they would have lost less with the dead.

It's so funny how your script is also flawed.
Clearly, we all know the knight king had the upper hand over the living, he could raise the dead to replenish his ranks, so why the heck should he retreat. Don't know much about strategies of war but i thought its the loosing side that retreats so as to regroup & restrategize. Did it seem as though the knight king was loosing??
For the aerial threat of two dragons, the knight king would use his dragon and then also equip his generals with spears- using the same style he use to spear and kill the first dragon
.
And for the aerial threat were you suggested the knight king equips his generals with spears. My bro, if it were so, trust me, that episode wouldn't be up to 45 minutes. Like the knight king, its safe to assume that his generals are also perfect with the spear, even if they are not, just imagine a 100 random spears thrown at each dragon, one must definitely hit the mark. Also taking the fact that dragon fire doesn't hurt them, they are sure in a perfect position to wipe out both dragons without a sweat, that's, if we were to go by your script.

Then, to save the day, John Snow and Arya Stark could fly woth one dragon low key over the battlefield to go on a covert mission to kill the knight king
.
Arya Stark that hasn't flown a dragon before, will now be able to fly one all of a sudden for a covert mission. No offense, isn't this a big plot hole??.

Am not trying to defend the show, as it was quite underwhelming, but going by the little you just wrote, it would have be far worst, no offense.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with the ways things played out.

Common, this is Game of Thrones, it won't be a household name if the plot was predictable.

You are quite daft, no offense.

1. I said that Arya and Jon Snow should use one Dragon. Meaning that Jon Snow would steer the Dragon while arya just piggyback. I never said that Arya should ride a Dragon herself

2. A temporary retreat is different from a full retreat. Furthermore, you should have noticed that the night king needs to be near the dead before he can raise them as shown by the two times he did such. As the king in the battle, he would need to retreat once he raises the dead because he needs to be protected or they lose the battle.

3. The retreat is a counter to a siege warfare. A temporary retreat using long term tactics.

Please be careful.before you criticise

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind..9/10
Genre: Drama

An outstanding story about the real-life William Kamkwamba's determination to liberate his village from the clutches of starvation. The flick was full of interesting and powerful themes that teaches lot of important life lessons.
It was also gripping and heartbreaking, as some scenes sent chills down my spine & also gave me a whole new view of what real hardship felt like, thus, reminded me how incredibly fortunate i am.
The entire setting/visuals, and cinematography were outstanding. A big thumbs up to the MVP, the genius, Chiwetel Ejiofor, his directing, writing (debut) and acting were totally amazing, the fact that he learnt & spoke a new language perfectly, shows that he really knows his onions when it comes to what he does. A perfect Oscar bait if you ask me, & i pray it wins one or two awards.
Highly recommended, do see this flick, it will surely move you... A perfect well deserved 9/10 from me.
