On topics such as this its always beneficial and rewarding for me to wait past page2 before commenting. I see where opinions lie.

The truth of the matter is in democracy godfathers are indispensable. Elrufai, without a godfather, would not be a governor anywhere....particularly in Kaduna there are people more qualified than him in all aspects. So when elrufai says he dislodged godfathers what he is talking about, and as far as Kaduna is concerned, is breaking the christian coalition and their erstwhile powerblock in the state administration. This made it possible for him to do a muslim/muslim ticket in a state with indigeneous christians. There are still godfathers in Kaduna but they are muslims and empowered to suppress christianity.

Elrufai sent letters to the kataf chiefs and told them their domain will no longer be recognized as chiefdoms. They are now under emirate kingdoms. The chief of agwom that resented this idea was kidnapped and murdered. This is how elrufai fight godfatherism in kaduna.
