As a Travel freak, I love doing travels at a very minimal budget. I decided to visit these three locations in one day which includes Nike Art Gallery, National Museum and the Freedom Park and guess what? These 3 locations cost less than one thousand Naira.

the first location was The Nike Art Gallery
The Art Gallery is a beauty to behold, everything about this building speaks excellence. Its a 3 storey building full of art exhibitions with over 10,000 artworks displayed here.
You are not allowed to take direct pictures of the artworks but you can take pictures with the art works.

1. The building
2. The entrance
3. The Survenir/Gift shop
4. Front View

Art Displays at Nike Art gallery ranges and you will definitely see the one that meets your budget. Most the ones I love are quite out of my budget but I am definitely going back to get one.

Then we decided to move to The National Museum.

One thing I noticed about every Nigerian owned Government Tourist centre is the use of cameras is outrightly not allowed.

So I decided to connect with history because anyone that doesn't know their history is like a river that doesn't know its origin. The Onikan Museum looks good cool from the outside, but on getting inside hmmm everything changed. LOL

The National Museum Onikan needs lots of upgrade in terms of insfrastructure, The Nigerian Government needs to embrace Tourism. To be fair, I wasn't impressed at all. Most of the information on the artefacts are not correct, any ways do not let me bore

SO these are the pictures from outside the Museum ,

Their receptionist and customer service personnel needs lots of trainning, I have been so various tourist centres where cameras are not allowed but once you get there they politely tell you the use of Cameras are not allowed within the facility, But the way the agent spoke was as if we had quarrelled the previous night. LOL anyways I have learnt to always respect everyone that is rendering a service to me, So i just politely told her I know and I do not intend to use it that I was coming from other places where I needed to carry my camera, but however there are better ways she could have relayed the message. cheesy cheesy at this point I was almost getting frustrated and turning back but for the love of tours I will bear all the embarrassment grin grin grin

1. facilities within the building
2. The office where you can get your export licence if you are planning to export your artworks
3. I think the most recent upgrade of the facility was done by Total many years ago
4. The place where the car where Murtala Muhammed was assassinated was kept.

At the of the day I spent less than 30 minutes here. I was almost getting frustrated with the Nigerian government, we do not take tourism serious at all, this is one thing that is sustaining some economies around the world . See more pictures here www.travelwaka.com

Judging by the numerous jujulistic Afonja artifacts on display, anybody going to this redecorated shrine must be prepared to go from 0-60 miles in 4 seconds in the event of being accosted by axe wielding "attendants" and "guides", or risk death.

If you are not capable, just stay at home!

You cannot just trust these people.
Hmmm.

The Freedom was a colonial prison known as Her Royal Majesty Prison, This prison serves host to many prominent Nigerians who fought against the colonial rule.
This prison was known to always set on fire by the then rebels till the British government decided to import bricks from England the bricks are still standing till date.

The freedom park faces three streets the most popular being broad street

1. Entrance from broadstreet
2. The main entrance from the second street
3. The wall showing the bricks
4. The Third entrance from another street

Everything about Nigeria is just skewed, just imagine a whole national museum grasses growing right on the walkways and lawn.

Shi.t hole in every sense of the word.

Besides it's high time we started speaking up against these three major tribes representation of Nigeria, that theory is as fraudulent just as it domineering.
