Thats not nice, that’s a person just like you. From all we know about him, he doesn’t deserve to be talked about in the manner you have. You should really think about it. We all sin differently, even if he had any sins, some forgivable atleast. undecided

Multi Award-winning Kenyan author Binyavanga Wainaina has died at the age of 48 and tributes are already pouring in from writers, members of the LGBTQ community and others who say this is a huge loss.

Biyavanga Wainaina

Wainaina, who was named among Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2014 for his gay rights activist, died at a Nairobi hospital after a brief illness.

Tom Maliti, the chairman of the literary magazine Kwani, which was founded by Wainaina, told The Daily Nation newspaper of Wainaina’s passing on Wednesday. Maliti said Wainaina died a few minutes past 10pm on Tuesday at a Nairobi hospital.

Wainana won the Caine Prize for African writing in 2002 for his short story Discovering Home in 2002.

In 2014, following the passage of a series of anti-gay laws across Africa, Wainaina publicly announced that he was gay. In 2015, he suffered a stroke. In December 2016, he revealed on Twitter that he was HIV-positive.

Last year he announced his plans to marry his long-time partner in South Africa. The writer’s brother, James Wainaina told the BBC that his family wants to celebrate Binyavanga Wainaina’s life.

He said: “We are in a life celebration mood, we’re looking at this from a human level; it’s a human story. Allow that humanness to shine, people are hurting.”

Tributes have been pouring in on Twitter from people all over the world.

Bisi Alimi wrote: “Really heartbroken to wake up to the news of the passing of #Binyavangawainaina, once again, #Africa has lost another giant, another mortal has gone to be with the gods. Thank you for your writing and for adding colours to the #LGBT rainbows of the continent.”

Brief Illness abi AIDS?

No homo but gay people confuse me.

Just the other day a transexual man gave birth to a baby and she/he/it didn't know they were pregnant and gave birth to a stillborn.

Why would you go through the pain of changing from a woman to a man and still be fkking a man. Why didn't you just remain a woman instead of being a gay transexual man. I'm already confused typing this.

Religion isn't the problem. False religion is.

The Bible tells us God is love. (1 John 4:8. Though the Bible condemns homosexuality, it also condemns a variety of other sins (Read 1 Cor 6:9-11). Why pick on a vulnerable minority? And you persecuting gays, do you sleep with everything in skirts as well as desecrate the marriage bed? (Read Romans 2:21-24) First remove the iroko tree in your eye before you see the splinter in your neighbours eye.

Homophobia isn't Christian. It is the opposite of the golden rule (Matthew 7:12). True Christian's commission was to make disciples of men (Read Matthews 28:19-20). It was not to fight homosexuality, fornication, drunkenness or stealing. It was to make disciples of men. If you stop fornicating but you refuse to become a follower of the Christ, it is worthless.. Pentecostal homophobics always pick on gays and pay lip service to immorality in their midst.

There is a proper way to declare the Good News as Jesus demonstrates in Matthew 10:11-14. Nowhere did it involve threatening those we preach to. At all times. they were to dispkay exemplary conduct to those they preach to (Read 2 Timothy 2:24-25).

Don't blame Jehovah, blame false religion especially false Christian's. They disown him by their works (Read Titus 1:16)

What was the brief illness? Probably Aids. The truth about aids being prevalent amongst gays is one fact these gays and their supporters try to hide from the general public.

Yep. According to irredemably stupid, dumb and fascistic third world brainwashed religious bigots, anyone who supports the rights and choice of innocent people on their sexuality is also a 'gay lord.'

Treat people decently even if you don't support their lifestyle (Read Matthew 7:12). Judgment is left with God.

Homosexuality isn't natural. That can be deducted from the fact that gay men are 46-47 times more likely to have STD's than straight men. HIV ravaged their community and killed them in droves until ARV's were developed to combat the disease.

I am not gloating over that fact. Rather I should and do feel sorry for them.

Sleep well (Read Ecclesiastes 9:5,10)
Can you define natural?

And also tell me why homosexuality isn't natural?
