I know. I have received more than 300 packets of different types of things from the same NIPOST with NONE of it missing or stolen or swapped.

I have not really had ugly experiences with Nigerian post. Matter of fact, it seems NIPOST is trying so hard to re-brand itself as a reliable and dependable company with their recent impressive performance in item delivery.

I guess the swap occurred at the point of inspection by customs. I noticed that some of my parcels are occasionally opened and re-sealed. That is not bad in itself as it is to ensure that the items described in the parcel is what is inside and not some contraband good and it is usually perfectly re-sealed.

Problem is when the description on it says "phone" and the officer goes ahead to open it, not with the intent to confirm the item but with the intent to steal.

By the way, this does not only occur in Nigeria. The difference is that the culprits are usually caught in saner climes. Something of that sort occurred in the US involving the officers charged with checking out goods at airports. Hundreds of tablets and apple ipads kept missing. So one journalist set up his device and had the location turned on. It was tracked to house of one of the officers. He initially denied it, but a spy application installed on the device kept beeping/ringing when it was pinged from tracker that the journalist held. I used to have the video of the crime burst.

What if I told you I've gotten both phones and laptops and will still get same from NIPOST without any of it getting lost? Sometimes we should applaud the people working hard to rebrand and make things work. I will say NIPOST services have been super excellent from all my experiences so far.
