My advise is, you should stick to what you can talk about in less than 3mins and leave references out of it.

Hi, unless you have a strong reason for not applying for admission, I would recommend you get your admission then wait for the outcome. You would be obtaining your admission yourself eventually (based on the previous occurrence), so why delay?

Some schools would have closed their admissions though, but in that case one can defer the PTDF scholarship for next year

Anybody received mail from DAAD this morning? I think most admissions in Germany will close this month cos I was told the school I chose will close this month. And so DAAD adviced me that even if I haven't gotten the scholarship yet, I should apply for admission because there won't be any postponement.

I chose Germany but didn't receive any mail from DAAD, maybe you have been nominated by PTDF.

I chose TUM and TUB as first and second choice respectively, I received the message on March and had started my admission applications.

Wow, you've really gone a long way. I didn't apply apply for admissions then, but with this mssg I just received I will start my application now. My choice of school is Trier Uni.

Have you been issued admission letter? If yes, were you able to upload the admission letter on the daad portal. If so, maybe probably that's why u didn't receive the mail from them, since you've done the needful. But hey, let's see how it goes anyway.

Hello gentlemen and ladies, don't let any one discourage you from applying for admission. It cost nothing to apply for admission not even a dine so why would someone recommend that you shouldn't apply until you are awarded scholarship. I learnt from a friend that the challenges most guys who received the scholarship had last year was haven't not got admission. When they got the award, their choice schools had closed admission then and most of them had to go to lower standard schools. Any big school in any country including Nigeria has standard and have set rules for admission process. You don't come any time and want to get admissions into the school.

My dear please if you can apply for admission now please do. If at end you didn't get the award (God forbid), you wont be penalized. Uk schools most of them are free. No application fee. You will not show account statement before you are been given admission. So please advice you to apply if you have your documents ready and the time. Application for admission also need good time and coordination of yourself and spirit to write some essays that might come with application process.

That's my own piece of advice. Make the hay while the sun shine. Thanks

The point is, you're waiting. So why can't you use the opportunity and apply for admission(s)? If you get the award, you would just submit your offer of admission. Parallel processing. My people, as rice dey inside pot on top fire, you no fit cut onions?


If you delay, you might have to "settle" for any University that is willing to admit you at that point.

2) Can I focus on the second and third choices of my application?

There is nothing wrong with having many admissions. Apply to at least two universities (the more the merrier ).
