1. methylprednisolone sodium succinate injection (Solu-Medrol) (given intravenously).
2. triamcinolone (Kenalog).
3.betamethasone (Celestone), 4.methylprednisolone (Depo-Medrol)

While Nigerians continue bashing their Doctors, other countries have opened their borders to them.

I had a friend say to me, UK trained Doctor, 'I have never seen a Nigerian Doctor that doesn't have that stuff upstairs, he might not know how to use those equipment, but he knows the theory!'

While there are horrible ones amongst them, most of Nigerian Doctors are not doing badly with what they are given. Or can you compare with many other courses-- fresh graduate for fresh graduate!

Quite a number of my friends were offered jobs by their PPAs immediately after service. Some were encouraged consistently to join the Military. Will it have been this way if they were numbskulls?

I am 98% sure the story teller is not suffering from any drug reaction. Nobody is thinking of his symptoms even before he went to the camp clinic. Could he be suffering from that still?

Op, it's well with you. Reading this your response makes me remembered a stage in my life that for over two years my life was almost on stand still. I search every seconds on the internet about my symptoms. I did different tests on my own even without doctor recommendations. But all to know avail. Until i make consciousness effort to ignore the symptoms and come to a conclusion that I can only die when God says, that was the beginning of my healing. I know it's not easy. Please do not take medications without asking for the name. I always ask for the name of every drug I am about to be administered, I also do research about the drug's dosage, adverse effects etc. I was prescribed Xalatan by a young doctor sometime ago and told to take it twice daily, I noticed that I had started reacting negatively to it all over my body so I stopped after 4 days only to discover that it was meant to be once daily when I went back to d hospital to complain.

Most of these doctors always feel insulted when you ask ' what's the name of this injection you want to give me?', at a very tender age, i read about some of these urgly experiences people have with doctors and drugs/injections.

I don't ever take changes with my life, I ask them what's the name of the injection please? Even for my kids I ask before they are being administered and I also ask whats the result of my kids test and mine too.

Always ask them and when the drugs dont sound familiar pls pulse them. Take your phone and search.

Eveb when I put to bed, my hospital place the drugs, injections and the card beside me, it's their way, the doctor will write out all the drugs and the pharmacy will provide everything from day one. I took the card, read all the drugs and seach for their names and know their use. It helps me use my drugs better sef.

This is the main thing, if for any reason you will not tell me what drug or injection you want to give me, I will just bounce. A doctor once told me I have the right to ask what drug/injection I am about to be given and I must be answered.

It could be a neuronal issue for real but before you bombard the whole of your system with drugs you do not know why not just go to a private laboratory, a good one I mean and get tested for H. pylori. I once attended to a lady that was presumed crazy, things walking in her body from her neck to her leg and so many things, I did all sorts of tests until I felt led to do that test and behold there it was. She was treated and she got well. If it's not then you continue with other treatments. The test is a short time test just go for the qualitative one.

Seriously I was sick wen I was in camp, only for me to get to d clinic and was given some trash as drug. I didn't take d drugs tho, knowing fully well d drug had nothing to do with my condition at that moment, just managed till I got back home.

Some nearly died in camp den. Honestly government need to look into this aspect, experienced doctors sud always be sent to camp, those guys can just be assisting them.

I don't even know d importance of the Nysc till now.

Op, please go to a government hospital, if possible, let it be a teaching hospital where we have specialists. I'm sure u wud get solution to it if u can do this. Act fast please.

Antibiotics gives me so much allergy when ever I take it but on these case I was given an injection so it degenerated to something more bad.

It started with my head getting heave after one week to one weird migraine that feels like there is a rope tied on my head
Then to a big burst of strong headache which nothing can stop

Not even any pain reliever

After that week comes my arm.
On my case it was left arm, from heavy chest to right tightly of arm, to difficult in breathing
Then I was in Ibadan I was rush to emergency Military hospital

Different doctors check, my BP shot up to 170
They ran several test
I was scheduled for Different scans that took Alot of cash
Yet results cones out clean

The fear was that it's heart condition but yet nothing like that was seen

Other organs were checked, cholesterol etc all was perfect

At a time I felt it was spiritual because for over six months I was always running around for help

I got a job they know me as a sickler there

I relocated to Abuja decided to start over again
Went to National Hospital, did test all over again met different cardiologist yet nothing

Doctors gives me drug but it becomes worst so I decided to put my future in my own head

I was living with a good friend of mine that understands my conditions and God will bless him for me

I got a cream, neurogysic

Now what I do is each morning despite the pains and difficulty in breathing I do a mild push up, after a warm bath, he will do a heavy thorough massage on my whole body using that neurogysic cream often times it will result into. Me sleeping off due to the effectiveness of the massage

Each morning as early as 6 I will wake up, I will drink warm water mixed with honey and ginger

Then maybe during the day time I can eat raw onions and tomatoes

I did that for more than three weeks consecutively

And then pray to God

My brothers and sisters since this year I had never visited a hospital oh

A doctor once told me that my issue is associated with nerves

I googled neurogesic cream and found out that it has menthol in it. My pain is the burning type with cold sensations. I have the feeling that the menthol in that cream will aggravate the pain and cold sensations. I really appreciate your concern and encouragement.

OP, Hi! Sorry about what you're going through; I pray you get out of this condition in God's name. Amen. Um..I don't know if my suggestion may be that helpful but I guess it's sort of worth trying. Were you guys given photo albums at your camp because if my mind recollects, you talked about trying to locate the fraud who posed as a legit doctor? If you guys were given photo albums (don't know how it's done these days), can you surf through it to look at the first few photo pages to look for who injected you?

I believe the top offices from the LG's to the field officers, the admin down to the youth corps members are posted in accordance. If you have your batch's photo album, you'd likely see who injected you there since you said he was also a corp member. All the best; get well soon.

I was in NYSC permanent orientation camp Mangu, Plateau State for NYSC orientation exercise. After eating launch that was served in camp on the 12-August-2018 I started having severe heartburn, painful urination, abdominal discomfort and also felt like fainting. I took plenty of water that day and went to bed. I woke up the next day which was the day of the camp closing ceremony feeling much worse so I rushed to the camp clinic. I was given ciprofloxacin and metronidazole tablets by a doctor who was a corp member. No lab test was done to ascertain the cause of my problem. I took the tablets but didn't feel better.

As time went on my situation got worse and I struggled to walk so I decided to leave the camp and find a medical facility outside where I could receive proper treatment. When I got to the gate of the camp I was stopped by a police man. He told me I was not allowed to leave the camp until the closing ceremony was over. I told him about my health issue and that I wanted to find a medical facility outside the camp where I could get proper treatment but he still refused to let me leave and insisted that I should use the camp clinic instead. I went back to the camp clinic and there I was given an injection on the right thigh by a doctor who was a corp member.

In the previous days in camp I applied for relocation. It was not granted so I went to pursue the matter. I returned to the camp clinic later to complain that my situation was not improving but I was Ignored. I sat in the consulting room and waited but the doctors acted as if no body was sitting there. I didn't even collect my posting letter that day because I was busy pursuing my health issue. I returned home (to Abuja) that day.

Two weeks later I started having severe burning pain in the leg that was injected. The leg felt very cold but was not cold to the touch. Immediately the pain started I knew it was the injection I received at the NYSC camp that caused it. The pain is very severe in the foot and also in the thigh that was injected. The burning pain has subsequently spread to all parts of my body. I feel it all over my head and my face and its causing me constant headache. The burning pain is the type you have after very hot water pours on your skin. I also have tingling (sensation of being stabbed with pins and needles) in my hands and right foot. My right leg has become very tender to the touch making walking, sitting, and lying with the leg touching a surface very painful.

Recently my right foot has started to go numb on one side. Whenever the pain is very severe I start thinking of ways to take my life. I have been to different hospitals and also took medication but no improvement. The pain is only worsening. I wish for death everyday but death is not coming. I have informed the NYSC Zonal inspector and also LGI (Local Government Inspector) in my place of primary assignment about my situation and also discussed with my LGI in January 2019 about them summoning the corp member doctors who were with us in camp so I could identify the one who injected me and get information about what he injected me but he told me that it will be difficult or almost impossible to do that. I don't know what to do now.

Before all this happened I was planning to venture into business full time. These days I can't even concentrate when performing activities such a studying, thinking, and reflecting because of pain and constant headache. Am i pain 24/7. The best I do when the pain is at peak is manage to sleep. I have lost interest in everything including life. Has any one reading this been in a similar situation or know what I can do now to get out of this situation. I'd like to get your inputs..
Death looks more attractive to me everyday. It seems like the best option available now. I never knew all my dreams and aspirations would be shattered by just one injection shot.
