You do not have a car if you have a Honda. What you got is a liability and an inferior to anyother brand aside innosons. Sell asap

this is just a one off problem caused by the owners ignorance.

This might sound funny. I had a similar issue with my Honda baby boy. Guess what solved the problem. I drained all the gear box oil and replaced same with visco 2000, I mean visco 2000 engine oil. I used it for close to a year before changing it again with visco 2000 engine oil. You must maintain using visco 2000 and nothing else.

I saw someone did this 6 years ago with Honda city.
A friend of mine took his Honda city for servicing, the mechanic fill the transmission with forte oil visco 2000, to me it was crazy but to my surprise he has been driving that car for years now with same visco oil as transmission oil.

I don't think I have the liver to use such.

So how do we explain all the ones in the USA that do 200k without issue?

Aunty Radautoworks it's no news that there was massive recalls to Honda Accord produced between 1999 - 2004 over faulty transmission. These transmission were known to fail under 90k miles. It's even surprising that this is coming from someone who stayed in the States and dealt on car repairs and the likes. It was even advisable to get it rebuilt when it fails, a skill set that is very scarce over here. I doubt there are Babyboy's that did 200k miles on the original auto tranny.

I won't argue with you, you can argue with these.

Stop saying what's not generalized. If Honda are not good why are they one of the best sellers in Ng?? Other car brands could be better but they also have their specific issues too, and not everyone will go for the same brand of cars.

People who are bad at maintaining Cars those r the people that u find most of the time saying Honda is bad lols if they can't maintain /spend on a Car then why Buy one Cox if u have money u won't say a Car is bad Ur money will speak on the Car

No Car is immune to developing any type of Fault

And it's not enough for u to buy a Car and think that's the end

Maintain ur Car ND it will be one of the Best

When something is faulty replace most times with OEM parts rather than repairing especially with some of the local mechanics who are just trial and error technicians

Whether Toyota or Honda or Benz Maintanance is the Key to enjoying ur Own Ride

*Find the Right Mechanics /Technicians THATS UR NUMBER ONE DUTY coz with a Bad Mechanic u will regret any Car no matter how good the Car was meant to be

What makes you special from every Nigerian?
What an insult from an unknown creature like you this morning.

Was I against your post or I was supporting it?

Excuse me please, for your information I am not a Toyota fan.

The cheapest you will get is 240,000NGN with auxiliary. You can drop your bad gearbox and get like 30k off.

Hondas are good cars I've used one of the Accord model they have beautiful interior and body designs but the 1999's are known for their gear problems both the Accord and CRV. But one thing I believe is to stick to their recommended transmission fluid that may at least help.

Good morning,
I am having issues with my camry 07 transmission. Three days ago the Shaft and cup was replaced

After the replace ment was done the gear started slipping and at a point stopped moving and when I put it on reverse it makes a loud noise but reverse works.

Scanned the car and it showed P0776 code.

Plz advice or gear specialist is needed.
