Topher052, I dey your back always jarey. I like the HORROR-CITY of the story. Ride on!

Zarac has been doing a lot of thinking after the incident with his wife, and so that morning over breakfast he suggested to her.

‘’We really have to start seeing Sam as our child since no one has come for him. You know if your pregnancy had pulled through, he’d be about same age as Sam. Perhaps God may bless us with our own for taking care another person’s”.

She looked down on her food and suddenly lost her appetite. Zarack held her hand in a worm squeeze and nodded at her.

Mr Oduah, the principal of Precious High School, a short, thick man with full mustache and bald in the middle of his head was in his office recruiting for new teachers for the school.

At the secretary‘s office where the applicants awaits there turns, a beautiful dark, curvy girl walked in and captured the eyes of every 7 person in the office. She elegantly walked to the table of the moderate looking secretary in her skin tight mini gown and said.

“Good morning. Am here for the interview”.

The intimidated, jealous girl retuned in a hostile tone.

“Why are you coming now! Aren’t you supposed to be here 2 hour’s ago?”.

The girl smiled and started confidently towards the principal’s office. The secretary ran after her trying to stop her but she had already entered. The principal turned angrily towards them but stopped his gaze on the girl.

“Madam, please go back!”. The secretary yelled at the girl. “Sir, I tried to stop her”. She said to the principal whose eyes were scanning the girl’s curves.


“Oh,…Okay, please let her be. How may I be of help to you beautiful?’’. The principal said to the lady.

She cat walked to the principal and placed her two hands on the table so that her cleavage can be visible to the man’s face. She turned to the young boy who was being interviewed can said almost in a whisper.

“can you excuse us please?”.

The boy looked at the principal, who nodded his acknowledgement. The boy stood up, adjusted his oversized suit, retrieved his file from the table stealing glances at the girl and walked out.

‘’And you too”. The principal said to the secretary.

When they had both left, the girl sat elegantly and crossed her legs. The principal adjusted his tie and swallowed, cleared his throat and asked.

“Yes, what can I do for you?”.

She first smiled and licked her lips before saying.

“I want a teaching job here”.

‘where is your CV?”. The principal asked.

“I don’t have it here with me, but can get it later”. She said.

“Oh…I really don’t have the power….”.

She shush him with a hand between her red greasy lips and said in a seductive tone.

“You look like a man no one can tell what to do, my kind of man”.

The man adjusted his tie, cleared his throat and asked.

“What’s your name?”.

“Crusial “. She answered.

“what kind of name is that?’’. He asked.

“My name”. she answered.

“Okay, which subject can you teach?’’. He asked.

She searched through her head and then looked straight into the Principals eyes and said.

‘’ I love human parts, especially the male organ”. Then she smiled and said easily. “I prefer Physical Education”.

The principal was both spooked and enchanted by her charms it felt like she had hypnotized him. He nodded and said without thinking it through.

‘’Resume on Monday”.

She smiled and slowly stood, turned towards the door and cat walked out, ensuring that her butt caught the principals attention. He was completely entrapped by it that he’s mouth was left open, and was brought to his consciousness by the bang of the door she closed behind her. It was then he realized he was so hard as rock.

Zarac and Sam arrived the school just after the lady had left. They met with the secretary who was yet to digest the jealousy she bored for the girl that just left.

“Hello, we are here to see the principal”. Zarac said to the lady.

She offered them a seat and went to inform the principal of their presence. Then returned to ask them in.

As soon as they entered, Sam started sneezing; it smelt like pepper in the office.

“What is it boy?”. Zarac asked.

Sam shook his head and sneezed again. The principal who was yet to deflate the bulge in his pants adjusted his tie, cleared his throat, ignoring Sam and asked.

“What can I do for you?”.

Zarac felt it was impolite of the principal not to apply curtsey, he didn’t let his feelings show, rather, he smiled and extended a handshake.

“I am Zarac”.

The principal received his handshake but was careful not to stand and reveil his shame. Again , Zarac noted that as being rude and contemplated on not carrying out his intended intention as he forced a smile sitting.

“What can I do for you?“. The principal said, adjusting his tie and clearing his throat.

Zarac wondered if he had problem with his tie, but ignored him and went on.

“This is my son, I want to enroll him in your school. He’s special with speech impediment ”.

The principal gave them a form to fill and booked a date for the entrance exam before they left.

Zarac was still vexed on their way out through the stairs, due to the negative notion he conceived about the Principal’s approach towards him. Sam suddenly stopped looking strangely at something. Zarac had left the stairs when he noticed Sam wasn’t with him. He turned to the boy who was looking so petrified. He followed Sam’s gaze to a boy playing with another on the field.

“what’s it boy?”. He asked .

Sam looked at Zarac and rushed down to meet with him, held his hand and started towards the gate. Zarac could not make a thing out of Sam’s behavior, although they had walked out a pen chat for communication, but he decided to let it slide for no reason.


Igbudu followed the invisible thing in the air to the next village. He was completely drained by the time I arrived. He had forgotten to eat all day and it was night already.

He made a small camp fire beside himself and rested his bone under a tree. Opened his bag, took from it a mango and started eating. He just finished the second when he heard a rustling sound some distance behind him. He remained immobile and slowly took out his little staff stick from his bag, spoke some silent words into it and gently turned towards the sound. He found nothing, and then stood on his feet still stalking into the staff in his hand. Suddenly there was an explosion of a dark smoke; igbudu moved a step backwards and stretched his hands towards the direction.

‘’I am Igbudu! The old and the young shrine of the 7 mountains. I dine and wine with the gods, I sleep with their wives, I am death! I fear no evil. If you care for a wrestle show yourself or forever hide your tail between your legs”. He yelled confidently at the smoke.

The smoke came together in a twist and formed into a man like creature, white as snow. Naked, yet wasn’t naked. Its eyes were blue as the stars and its lips, dripping with blood as it breathed heavily, looking ominously at Igbudu.

Igbudu felt slightly moved by fear on seeing the creature, but he contained it and said.

“I know you, Pafpaf, the old sleeping death. What do you want in the abode of the living?”. I can see you have fed, that on your mouth is the last you’ll ever taste. It I! “beating his chest “ Igbudu who said it!”.

The creature moved in a speed of light towards Igbudu, even before he finished his statement and covered him up in dark smoke.

Inside the smoke, about 50 white little demons, 3 inches tall, with the resemblance of a standing lizard flew around Igbudu, biting him on different part of his body with their nail like teeth. He cried in pain, as he wielded his little staff stick around, but the creatures were too fast for him.

He reached for his bag; about 30 of the demons held his hands biting rigorously with their sharp stabbing teeth. He first retrieved his hand, and tried again. This time he ignored the pain screaming as he pulled out a white handkerchief, swung it around his head and the handkerchief caught fire and burnt all the little creatures.

Igbudu sagged on the ground after that, bleeding on different parts of his body. The camp fire had been put out by the breeze the demons came with. He swore to die, but first to find the demon who killed his son, and the one who ate his son’s flesh.
