Cant rely on a striker who needs 10 chances to score 1 goal. If Lukaku scored at least 80% of the chances that fell for him this season, he'd be up there with dem Aguero, Salah, Mane and Aubameyang.

You're right. Lukaku has had some poor games. But you're going overboard with the criticism. Of course he's not as good as those you named but you cannot deny that the service he's received especially last season has been very poor.

Lukaku matter dey kind of complicated.
Yes, goals are important but sometimes you have to look beyond it.
Look at lacazette for example. His goal output is very similar to Lukaku's but you would be a fool to say their seasons were close in any way.
You only have to watch lacazette once to know what I'm talking about.


To maximize lukaku's output we will have to build our team around him, of sorts and we are simply not Everton.
He's not going to be giving us messi or Ronaldo numbers anyway, so what's the point?

For him to thrive here he will need to contribute to a lot of things outside just waiting to put away chances.

He cannot press from the front
Link up play is painful to watch, even when it comes off.
He's big but cannot hold the ball up to save his life.
Cannot win headers too.


Add his financial package to all of this and it will make sense why the club will not hesitate to let him go when a respectable offer comes and at the same time not exactly desperate to push him out
