Its painful to say ths but some of your comments have truth in it..way back in 2013 Kenya was called a pariah country just like Tz now. Our current president was in facing issues in Hague. Foreign funding was being diverted to other countries such as S.A sad.I think what magufuli doesn’t understand is that ya cant cant beat ths niggs, just play cool. There something western guys want from TZ either gay freedom or humam rights stuff or just minerals .The kind of negativity being shown toward TZ is similar to what we had before 2013..But now we ok..We know how to play the Game. Wonder whether magufuli is smart enough to do so..You see Kenya survives coz in a way we are smart lot. Our economy could have collapsed during Moi’s era but nah we survived (I call it a miracle)..You can’t go head to head with ths guys. Just check Venezuela, Palestine, Iran among other countries.
For Nigeria , it kissed ass long time ago (free oil) so nothing to discuss there grin

That's just how the world works! They've economic, media and diplomatic means of remote control of Africa. If that fails they get ugly and their proxies, the terrorist/secessionist/saboteurs start up.

OMG....... China is an emerging economy, its still rising. The African low IQ is a doom... Havent you been seing how fast chinese economy is rising? It will surpass the american economy because of its high population advantage.

India as well has a ballooning population, does that means it will overtake Japan economically gauging from this scenario?

Rwanda and Botswana are the fastest growing economies in the world? Can this be attributed to their population capacity?
See how your reasoning is dime, take it back to your government censored Jamii forum.

Africa is poor because of incompetence and corrupt rulers who loot their nation and let foreigners do the same and since John Magufuli came in power he has brought down corruption and their economy has been having one of the highest growth in Africa. This is exactly why Tanzania will surpass Kenya if Magufuli continues to hold power because you are so used to corruption and incompetence that you think its the way to live and you react negatively when someone comes and tries to makr good changes. While Kenya is busy with corruption, tribalism and going around the world asking for loans so it can indebt itself Magufulis Tanzania is doing the opposite and slowly prosporing.

They even appologized and say that they are going to correct the rapport because they missed lots of key factors in the rapport. Let me link this video again, i hope you are not discouraged because its not a mzungu who is telling you about the Tanzanian economy:

Hahaha where did IMF apologize
Tanzania blocked the report
Continue living in ccm propaganda
Tanzania could have overtaken kenya in 2005
But now lipsrsealed
Kenya is not stagnant it is also growing
For Tanzania to overtake Kenya it must grow in double digit figure for ten years and kenya to grow below 4%
Which will never happen .

Wealth growth must exceed population growth by greater margins for us to prosper. How can the typical man in Africa have more cash to invest and grow wealth whilst he is being waited by 4 hungry kids and a stay at home wife so as to feed them? The high dependency ratio is what is pulling us down! We need a working population and a state where the mortality rate equals the fertility rate!

Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 4:44pm On May 27, 2019
I think kenya has survived by generally separating business from politics. We have also had a diversified economy however small as it was. It therefore very hard to bring kenya down.It easy to bring down countries that depend on sector or two of the economy - both internally (via a coup) or externally.Generally, Kenya politicians have been devoid of ideologues like in TZ - so whatever has been the schism - kenya always found a way to work with US, USSR, China, UK, Isreals, the Arabs and even the Apartheid regime of South Africa smiley - as long as they were into business - their Alexander Forbes or Old Mutual would be welcomed.

What Magufuli is doing is very foolish. He is opening way too many fronts. You cannot just wake up and slap a company 190B dollars bill!! - and expect the business world to just sit back - and continue business as usual. As long as Magufuli is President of United TZ - he can forget about FDIs and prepare for more capital flight. He is too mercurial for any serious business to put their money down.

Why Tanzania is not overtaking Kenya anytime soon.

This report was published in 2016 when jealous Tanzanians began melodizing that they'll overtake Kenya economically and now we're in 2019, you're no longer close to Kenya in any ramification.

Kenya 2019 GDP $99 billion
Tanzania 2019 GDP $60 billion

Continue composing new melodies dreaming that you'll overtake Kenya.
Our main peers in east Africa is Ethiopia only!

Tanzania continue directing your long term hatred towards Kenya.

Meanwhile have a look at this article.

Kenyans are being treated to a season of gloom and doom because Kenya is supposedly about to be eclipsed as the region’s dominant economy by Tanzania. Kenyans have “authoritatively” been informed by expert economic analysts that Tanzania is the new king of East Africa, and Kenya has lost out big time.

What is behind this invitation to Kenyans to beat themselves? The first is the decision by Uganda to “abandon” its deal with Kenya to build a joint pipeline to the Port of Lamu in favour of one with Tanzania. The second is the decision by Rwanda to “abandon” Kenya’s Standard Gauge Railway (SGR)

in favour of the one proposed by Tanzania. Never mind that not even one kilometer of track or pipeline has been laid, or even one dollar of the necessary finance been mobilized for both projects.

The truth is that when you compare Tanzania’s economy to Kenya, it’s almost laughable that anybody can actually state that it can supplant Kenya’s dominance in this region. This is just self-serving analysis meant to push a given political narrative.

What are the facts about these two economies? Tanzania’s 2016 budget of $ 13.5 billion (Sh1.35 trillion) pales beside Kenya’s budget of $ 22.6 billion (Sh 2.26 trillion), almost double in size.

Further, the size of Tanzania’s economy, measured through its Gross Domestic Product (GDP), at $ 48 billion, is almost 25 per cent smaller than Kenya’s at $ 61 billion. These gaps have only grown in the last decade, and nothing suggests they will be narrowing anytime soon.

Tanzania’s key port of Dar es Salaam has been declared much more inefficient than the Port of Mombasa, over control movement of labour, capital and other factors of production. No wonder there’s a huge skills gap in that economy.

Tanzania has a mountain to climb. The turmoil that Kenya underwent as it liberalized and reformed its economy in the 90s is something that Tanzania must go through to become a modern economy. By the time Tanzania is through, Kenya will be eons away. Tanzania’s first shock when it starts liberalizing will be capital flight as Tanzania’s elite move huge amounts of dollars abroad, and a massive depreciation of its currency as it finds its own market level amid a huge dollar outflow.

Nairobi remains the financial and and above clearing much less cargo for the region’s landlocked countries, principally the tiny economies of Rwanda and Burundi. In fact, the World Bank estimates that the Tanzanian economy could gain over Sh8 billion annually if the Dar Port was as efficient as the Port of Mombasa. For the longest time, Kenyans were told by the selfsame experts that Dar es Salaam would soon supplant Mombasa as the key port in this region. Again, it looks like it is not going to happen anytime soon.

Those experts then “abandoned” Dar and latched onto the Port of Bagamoyo where Tanzania had planned a mega port. Kenyans were told that Bagamoyo will put Mombasa in the shade, never mind that then not a single stone had been laid, nor was there a highway to link the port with its landlocked neighbours to facilitate the proposed new corridor to supposedly compete with Mombasa and the Northern corridor.

The truth is that $ 10 billion Bagamoyo Port was a white elephant, and the Tanzanian government has abandoned it as unviable, and will instead concentrate on refurbishing and expanding the Port of Dar.

It would have to be a hopeless optimist who would proclaim that the Northern corridor anchored on the Port of Mombasa is about to lose to a rudimentary corridor anchored on a port that is much more inefficient and is way behind in modernization and expansion.

The scenario is similar with Tanzania’s standard Gauge Railway linking Tanzania and Rwanda. While Kenya’s SGR is rapidly snaking its way across the Nyika, Tanzania’s is still on the drawing boards.

Tanzania’s economy is still living in the past , and remains globally uncompetitive. Successive Tanzanian governments have lived in a Utopia where they think they can forever shield their economy from competition. So, they commercial flight hub for the entire Eastern and Central Africa. The financial and ICT infrastructure the country has built over decades is among the most advanced anywhere in the continent. That’s why leading global brands like Google, General Electric, Huawei, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Diageo, Toyota, AVIC International and Visa Inc have made Kenya either their regional or continental headquarters. It will take a huge flight of fantasy to imagine companies like IBM or Pfizer relocating from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam.

It might be the politically correct narrative to talk up Tanzania as the new kid on the block set to put Kenya in its place. The truth, however, is that Tanzania is really a backwater economy that is yet to begin the hard, backbreaking and nerve wracking work of reforming its economy to become competitive even by regional standards. Rwanda has done a much better job of it.

That is nonsense. Population structure matters more than the number. I have no problem if China are 1.5B people - as long as they've got the right kind of structure - meaning few and well-spaced kids for families to be able to manage it. And that we can only do by providing men and women the tools to choose when and how to have kids.

The best countries in the world are not the USA or China - they are the smaller Luxemburgs, Switzerland, Qatar, the UAEs, Singapores, Bruneis- those are countries where nearly all citizens enjoy a high quality of life.

In Africa - Mauritus, Botswana, Namibias and Seychelles enjoy high standard of living - with say a primary school teacher buying a nice little new car on his first employment date.

US or China may be a powerful countries - but who really care about power - when they have so many poor people living in tents or streets - or food aid.

You two are the true definition of the low IQ africans which is why Africa is a doomned continent. Your IQs too low to see how important a big population is? Do you even know why the west has been sending NGOs and population controls to Africa while they are paying their women to have more babies and taking in migrants to higher their population? Thanks for schooling the illiterate here throwing insults left right and center. Africa IS POOR because WE were always poor. Nearly all Africa countries were equal poor before any europe came and by the time they left - were still very poor. Countries that became better - had to slowly and painstakingly emerge from poverty. They did this mostly by fighting disease, poverty, and ignorance. They did this by sending as many kids to school as possible. By building schools, hospitals and basic infrastructure that was non-existent. They did this by educating Africans on modern agriculture and livestock keeping. Those lucky to get natural resources - embarked on public investment on roads, rails and the works.

And then you've got special case of Nigeria...that seems to be regressing in 2020.

Low IQ fools use your brains. Africa is the most underpopulated continent in the world, DRC is half the size of Europe, so its Europe which is overpopulated, now imagine if our lands reflected its population? We would have strong economic and militaristic powers in Africa, which is exactly why they the west doesn't want Africas population to grow while at the same time making sure that their population grows by taking in migrants and paying their women to have more kids. Living standard doesn't matter, economic power and militaristic power matters. While Botswana has a high living standar(and rising gdp) it will never be able to come up to the economy of that of a bigger population like Nigeria or to its militaristic power. Botswana differiante from the rest of Africa and its neighbouring countries. Botswana was a protectorate and was not colonized by white people and it found its minerals after independence and is one of few african countries with nationalized minerals. The reason Botswana has maintained it success of high living standard is because foreign governments didn't put its mind to infiltrate it successfully and import revolution, poverty and hunger unlike in many other African countries, and Botswana is a story of good leadership. Look at Lybia, it used to have one of the highest living standard in Africa until the west overthrew Gaddafi, now the country is shattered with war, poverty and hunger. Living standard didn't matter as long as they didn't have the capacity to defend themselves, Lybia has 6 million people.

In every continent the countries with the highest populations are the ones with the biggest GDP and Military. The biggest economy in Asia is China(1.3+ bilion people) followed by Japan(120+ million people), India(1.3+ billion people), and Indias economy is rising quickly and will surpass Japan eventually because its still an EMERGING economy. Indonesia with 260+ million people is rising quickly also and if it remain it stability, the order of Asia top GDP in the future will be China, India and Indonesia. Japans population is declining and they are thinking on taking in more migrants to maintain their economy, just like countries in europe are taking in migrants and paying their women.

In Europe(not counting in trancontinental countries such as Russia and Turkey) German has the highest population(80+ million) and also the highest GDP. It is followed by France and U.K which have the next highest populations(both 65+ million), and the next 2 highest GDP. Italy has the 4th highest population(60 + million) and 4 highest GDP, then spain has the 5th highest population and 5 highest GDP.

In South America its the same, Brazil has highest population and highest GDP, followed by Colombia and Argentina whom also follow the next highest GDP after each other. The same in North America. U.S has the highest population and highest GDP. Mexico has the second highest population(120+) and is a country filled with corruption which creates disfunction to the economy but still it has the third largest GDP after Canada(37+ million), closely behind. It will easily surpass Canada if it gets its act together and become stable.

So i hope you see a pattern now, and see that it shouldn't come as a surprise why Nigeria has the biggest economy in Africa, all while its politically unstable. Also the reason why China will surpas U.S.A economically it thankly due to its high population which gives it a big advantage. China already work as one unit and they can quickly make economic reforms which in U.S takes time.

The reason Nigeria can be deemned as Africas saviour is because of its big population, it has the ability to become Africas superpower and defend Africa and help it develope. But that is only if it get its act together, along with DRC. These two countries can be Africas salvation. I can't emphasize enough how important population growth is for Africa. Botswana is almost twice the size of Germany but only has 2 million people while Germany has 82, if Botswana with its current form of stability had the population of Nigeria it would be a world power military and economically. Low population is one of the reason the French colonies are still being looted by France, in Burkina Faso it was the big young population who went together and overthrew the puppet president but it's much harder in Gabon with its low population. The more people you are the more you will demand control of your resources. In the french colonies its not the africans who control the resources but french companies which is why you don't read about african billionaires from these colonies. The french president has been going around spreading propaganda that africans are overpopulating the world because it will be harder for them to continue looting Africa with a bigger population who will demand control of their resources.

A country like Botswana would never be able to defend itself from the west because it lacks any kind of power, it just has high living standard. Poverty is a bigger problem in U.S compared to Luxemburg(600 thousand people), Luxemburg has the highest living standards in the world, but unlike U.S, Luxemburg is not a superpower, whether economically or military. Botswana will suffer economically because of its low population just like many europeans are doing right now, it won't be able to mantain its economy and living standard because it will suffer an aging problem faster than the rest of Africa and it will either need to take in migrants to mantain the GDP and living standard or find another way to higher its population.

A bigger population give rise to a bigger variety of better leaders and a bigger population also has a higher chance to overthrow bad leadership than a smaller one. In China, their revolution 70 years ago was because of the high unemployment(had a population of 500 million people then), but today they have a strong leader which has uplifted them out of poverty and they see how things have changed for the better, going from one of the poorest countries in the world, to become the superpower it is today. Most chinese support its government. Development always comes with good leadership, its not a matter of how big the population is. You can have low population and poor development, high population and high development(Japan(or China)), vice versa.

South Africa is the legacy of apartheid and when the whites took their land the tribes weren't millions and they weren't united, today they have increased their population and are right now fighting together to get back their land because its many of them. In Namibia they are not as vocal because they are a low population. Its much harder for foreigners to come in a country like Nigeria with over 150 million people and control all their resources because the people would ''eventually'' start an uproar, the bigger population you have the more the people are going to demand control of their resources which S.A is demanding right now. The reason Nigeria has one of Africas biggest army is because of its population advantage and it has one of the highest GDP not because it is an economically superpower in Africa, its all due to its big population, because bigger population creates higher GDP since it means more workers. Imagine if Nigeria got its act together politically and lowered it unemployment, it would surpass all European countries economically because it has a population advantage.

Botswana has no power, only high living standard. If the west attacked Africa right now, what power would we have to defend ourselves? Botswanas inpact in helping Africa stopping the war would be nothing compared to a country with lower living standard but a bigger population like Kenya or Tanzania. Use your brains for god sake. Do you people even know what the ''catch up effec'' is? Read about it: https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/definition/catch-up-effect

Low IQ is why Africa remains poor, if you remove africans from africa and replace them with any other non africans it will prosper.
