I won't advise you to learn up to B2 on your own. A1 and A2 no problem but from B1 no be beans oo. German is a beautiful language but it's very, very complex. My advice: Learn up to A2 on your own (even that requires serious commitment, practice, combination of many resources etc.) then go to a language school or hire a private tutor for B1 and B2.

Go to the Goethe institute Website, they have a placement test that you'll take and it'll tell you what level you are on. They also have practice tests materials you can use to assess yourself and prepare for the Goethe exams.

Because of his fast approaching resumption deadline
He sent a mail to his alien office stating this, he got a feedback and forwarded the reply and alongside a status inquiry mail to the embassy, his AM dropped moments after.

Could be his proactiveness could be a coincidence. I can neither confirm or deny that but its worth a try for fast approaching deadlines.
