Two fans have been injured after violent clashes ahead of the Europa League final between Chelsea and Arsenal, MySportDab reports.

Local reports in Baku state that two supporters were taken to hospital overnight and treated for their injuries.

Supporters from both English clubs are in Azerbaijan ahead of the European final, where Arsenal and Chelsea will compete for both silverware and a place in next season's Champions League.

Azerbaijan Health Ministry spokesman Parviz Abubekirov revealed that one British fan was hospitalized with an openhead wound and bruising 'as a result of an altercation between fans of the two football teams.'

His injuries are considered moderate, not serious.

Abubekirov adds a Russian man was hurt inan unconnected incident in a bar and treated at the scene.
