Kenyan are indeed cursed for celebrating mediocrity ,it might takes ages before Kenya get to the level of ANY NIGERIA CITY, reason been that, most of nigeria's cities got development spreads across all areas and not only at capital 2 Likes 1 Share

Even though the new Oshodi BRT Terminus is still on-going finishing touches but we seem to be looking at a masterpiece in the making. AutoReportNG got some night view images of the building and we can say its sparkling. For the records, the building was commissioned open by Pres. Buhari and so far work has started at terminus 3 as the management has already begun loading of passengers from this axis. 3 Likes

The Lagos State Government is leaving no stones unturned to make sure that the state is motorable and conducive for use. The new Ilaje Waterfront Jetty will be commissioned today by the outgoing govenor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. Mr. Ambode today unveil state of the art ferries that will ply the axis, according to him, this will be part of efforts to scale up water transportation in Lagos and also to decongest traffic across the road. "It is pertinent to note that the Lagos State Government has procured seven ferries, five of which will be commissioned and they are named after monumental events, notable towns and Lagos deities as a reminder of our historical values. The names are –Itesiwaju Eko, Ipakodo, Alausa, Adamu-Orisa, Ejinrin, Eko-Akete, and Zangbeto. These are ferries that the citizens will find comfortable, safe as well as affordable. Named Bariga Waterfront Jetty, the ferry terminal is an initiative of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration to further scale up the integrated transportation system of the State Government aimed at ensuring seamless connectivity within the State. The state-of-the-art jetty is situated at the tail end of the upgraded Ilaje Road which provides access to the terminal from Akoka Road, abuts the lagoon front facing the Third Mainland Bridge. It sits on a reclaimed land area of over 2000 square meter with facilities such as generous parking area that can conveniently accommodate 150 cars and ample space for park and ride buses for those that will want to park their cars to get to their various destinations through the terminal by ferry. 1 Like

The Dangote Refinery seems to be one if not the largest project going on the Africa continent currently. It's a project that has gulped lots of billions of dollars, break some technological protocol, it has involved a lot of technical and advanced engineering. People on this site work day in, day out to make sure the refinery receives the best and meet up with the timeline. For example, the 2760 ton RFCC regenerator, is the largest of its kind in the world which was made in South Korea. According to Dangote, he has to build its own port in order to accommodate all these mega machineries as no Nigerian port can accommodate any of these items. The CEO/Founder Mr. Aliko Dangote while speaking with Mo Ibrahim recently, when he was asked to comment about the refinery, he said, " it can be considered the largest project in the world when considering all various construction around the area". One hard fact is when he says the refinery section of the project has 136,000 piles, more than anywhere else in the world. When the refinery is finished, it is expected that it will produce 650,000 barrels of crude daily. According to Aliko Dangote, the refinery has gulped $130billion so far. The site was about 2 million square meters in size was bought for the sole aim of the refinery from both the Federal and State Government. According to the images we have seen so far, work at this site is nothing but a mega one. Lots of work are on-going simultaneously which leaves no room for negligence from the workers in any way. The pile foundation, civil construction, grid flow production tasks, and the grid installation work are ongoing. At the completion of this project, it's said to create thousands of job opportunities for the youths and for those in the oil sector thereby saving the nation a huge amount of money from foreign refineries. AutoReportNG got some images from the companies handling the project, we felt its important to report back to you on how they fare. 1 Like

Problemkid1:i agree its about time these arguments go.. i mean any rightful thinking kenyan wouldn't compare Nigeria with Kenya, Nigeria is obviously richer but at the same we should all agree that there is a lot to be done about our governance, i am a die-hard pan-africanist and i wouldn't want these back and forth arguments about nothing blur my views on the current and future state of our beloved motherland, i take what is going on here as just a usual locker room banter and nothing more because the truth will always remain the truth. 1 Like 1 Share |
