Time to take my seat on this thread , though i’m active on the sister thread since I’m already in canada (came as a student what feels like ages ago)

Let’s not be stressed by the high score , as far as I could tell this is one of the longest if not the longest break in between draws since EE began , i'm certain the scores will come down again.

I know this thread is predominantly FSW but my fellow CEC folks where you at ? wink

We will all get our hearts desires !

Hi friends,

What will be the level of education for someone who has OND, HND and Diploma?

Please I need an urgent response. Has anyone experienced this before?

Go through his comments in part 7 of this thread, you should find his phone number, you can contact him through whatsapp. I think you need to practice more, here are my suggestions:

LISTENING
I will recommend you complete all listening questions in Cambridge IELTS 1-13 (I learnt 14 is out, please include that too if you have access to it). Make sure you review all questions you missed, replay it as many times as possible until you understand why you got them wrong. Once in a while, after completing a practice test, just listen to the entire recording and read the transcript along, notice how the parts that have the answers (they are usually underlined) stressed and paraphrased. Doing this overtime naturally improves your listening skills. Then do more BBC (TV, radio, podcasts) at your leisure, so as to get used to British accent.

READING
For reading, practice all questions in Cambridge IELTS 9-14 (both academic and General), start with academics, do some first not timing yourself but aim to score 40. Once you start getting 38+, start timing yourself. By the time you do this consistently, you will start scoring almost 40 in General questions.

WRITING
I am a fan of Liz. Her videos are very easy to follow and I love her approach to the structure for each type of essay. You can then use writeandimprove.com to assess, so you can know if you are improving and where you need improvement (very useful especially for grammar). I will recommend you subscribe because the free version won't give you access to IELTS questions and gradings. Practice till you consistently score above 7.5 in all your unedited practices.

If you are yet to attain your desired scores in your practice (for all the modules), please don't book for another test yet. The next one will be the final by God's grace.

Please reach out to Oga @wasseynewest. He will surely help you.

All the best. I look forward to reading your PPR gist soon.

Thank you very much for this response, I obviously was studying wrongly and I'll do as you have advised. I must Ace my next one.

I also have an issue with my age, I'm turning 31 this June, do you know If this will affect me?

Someone did the ECA with WES and it was positive, 2 or more certificate, in part 7. He was the only so far who reported the positive result. I can't get the link or his moniker right now. You can try it, hopefully it turns out positive too
Thank you so much

The question on the CRS tool is

blood (biological)
adoption
marriage (step-brother or step-sister)[/i]

If you answer yes to this, you will get the sibling points.

See? There is hope after all! smiley

I suspect the person is referring to his/her siblings spouse having a brother or sister who is a Canadian PR or citizen. If the above is correct then you cannot claim points in this instance.

For clarity, I mean my brother's wife is a permanent resident (my brother does not yet have his PR). So can I claim points through her? Will this mean we are related by marriage and have a common parent?

Then I will prefer @Avidreader's option of buying the card, giving it to Waec so they send alongside the trascript

Please, I need clarity. I was thinking faxing the document to WES is an alternative to visiting waec office for processing. Kindly try to explain the point where I need to visit WAEC office and at what point should I fax to save cost?

Still waiting for advice, I beg.

The question on the CRS tool is this:

Do you or your spouse or common law partner (if they will come with you to Canada) have at least one brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident?
Note: to answer yes, the brother or sister must be:

18 years old or older
related to you or your partner by blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption
have a parent in common with you or your partner
A brother or sister is related to you by:

blood (biological)
adoption
marriage (step-brother or step-sister)

If you answer yes to this, you will get the sibling points.

See? There is hope after all! smiley

Thank you. I think if I am reading it correctly, then my sister in law (a PR) can give me points.

Please what documents will be required to show the relationship, apart from the wedding certificate that shows she is married to my brother?

Maybe birth certificate of me and my brother to show we are siblings?

Congratulations @topsmamen. Great work you have been doing on the thread, ever since your sister @dumprep called you out from being behind the scenes in that her delicious PPR testimony. You were a pillar for her and have been doing similar to people on here. You sure are a great fellow.
God bless you, and I'm sure he would go ahead of you to make way for you over there.

I am just gonna do as if I didn't give a side eye that it was hephgirl that announced your PPR arrival. If it was gonna be anybody else, one would have hoped for it to be ifeoma77. I had to recheck the poster. I was rooting (fighting) for her.

Guess writing funnily and dramatically runs in the family. You and your sister wrote interesting stories, drawing beautiful pictures with your words.

I hope we get to meet and hangout some day over there.

@ladymarshall, please mark this script with plagiarism in mind. Compare his and dumprep's script. If necessary, call them into separate rooms and give them new paper to ascertain who wrote the two.

you can't claim points through your brother's wife. Your brother has to be a PR before you claim points

The rule is either you have a sibling (i.e your brother or sister), or your spouse has a sibling (his brother or sister) who is a PR and not your brother's wife

Thanks @harry41.
I got an update. Application was approved May 3rd and still with Case Processing Center, Ottawa.

I'm wondering if that's where my PPR will be sent from or they'll still forward to AVO before I get PPR.
The wait is not funny anymore. embarassed
