ambient:go to their office, request for load assessment form. (Tips) you should do before they come for the assessment...remove electrical appliances like A.c..washing machine, hot plates and the rest so that the rating usage on the assessment form would be favourable to you. |

That was what they did to us... They said the meter was not working. WHAT I DID I started taking the reading every morning and evening. Write down the date and time for like a week. I sent a mail to Alausa, they replied me, I was still no satisfied... I went to their office at Alausa, with a complain letter. They later concluded that they will send someone to come and inspect the appliances at home. Which they did. For last month we were not given any bill, but other neighbors got there's. They said they were resolving it. I forgot to add that meter was actually working when I got their with the figures it showed that the meter was working perfectly,.the next they said was that maybe someone tampered with it. Of which no body even neared there. If you are quiet about it you bill will accumulate. My neighbors are owing up to 100k because of this same issue. If not that I followed them bomber to bomber. |

ahnie: That was what I did ooooo, when the NEPA official came. I apologized to him politely that I can't open the door for him because my Hubby was not around and I can't let a total stranger into the house. He didn't argue he gave me his number to call him when my hubby was around and left. Na so I arrange my cooker, dispenser, electric oven, washing machine, micro wave etc. inside toilet till he came did his job and left. 1 Like |

ambient: I think they respond quickly in Lagos here, when I sent them mail they responded the next day, then when I got to their office I was told that they will send someone for inspection before 21 days, but I was surprised to see the person 2 days after. |

calgaryFriend: What do you now call estimated billing, where one frustrated person decides to give you any amount they feel like? Please spare her. |

calgaryFriend: Oga what are you telling me? I go to work in the morning, same with hubby, my kids to school how often do I use these appliances, the only thing that is left on at home is my freezer, and you expect me to pay 23k to 25k per month. What happened to them giving us prepaid meters. So if that is stealing what happens to estimated billings? |

favourite787899:They are wrong, but it doesnt make what you did right either. Understand that this is the reason you have no right to condemn our leaders as you are part of the problem.. I wonder what kind of example you are laying for your children though. |
