Still on the accent matter, I have found that its simply less stressful to speak in a way they expect to hear. When I speak normally, even fellow Nigerians might not hear me properly cos I tend to talk lazily, drawl or mumble,..
However when I'm in PTE mode (thats what I call the accent) grin, I don't get complaints.. it becomes even more obvious when I'm tired, I might pick a call at work and start talking normally...... the moment the other person goes "I'm sorry, what?". ,or "I'm sorry I can't hear you properly", instant reset o... I cannot come and be repeating myself because I want to speak in my default accent abeg cheesy

My husband and I have decided to relocate with our 3 kids to enable us give them the opportunity for a better life.


I have a B.Sc in Computer science and worked for a bit in customer care and banking before I resigned in 2013. I have been a food entrepreneur eversince so I bake, cater e.t.c and more recently started an online breakfast company, and my husband has a B.Sc in Statistics and has more years of professional work experience than I do. He is currently at a Solar energy company where he's their Country Program Manager. Who in your experience/opinion is more suited to be the principal applicant for a PR VISA?

your husband ma, but you can also use some points from yours to augment. points will come from you having experience too and English test. i think its 5 respectively.

Let my elders comment too.

so excited about this thread. please is anyone in the house that is staying with work visa. someone told me about getting a job offer and using the offer to apply for two years work visa

Yes I have a work visa. It is assumed the company offering you a job is willing to sponsor you thus they apply to sponsor you alongside a visa application for you and if approved you are issued the visa so technically you don't apply for the visa

Mine is a 2yr visa. I didn't register with any of the above. Just PRs can I think. I was told after 3years with same employer you can apply for PR using the employer as sponsor. I haven't considered PR yet.

Could you please say more about your experience with Turkish airlines especially with regards to the layovers. I read about the tour in Turkey as well. How was the experience like? Good morning lovelies , please my cousin just have only waec result , can he apply to be a migrant , he have skill on air conditioning and plumbing ,does he have any chance since he got no bsc

I’m not sure about the degree requirements but here is what I found in the skills shortage lists. I hope it helps

He should try the school route. There are some cheap regional schools he can apply to and after that source for PR.
