This is not the right place to post it , there is another group for visiting visa. It might be better to post there

That been said i have seen post here by VO which states they do not read or view Invitation letters . Instead you are access based on your home ties for visiting visa

Thanks...

I think your visa ends on the day your i20 ends. You can then extend your status by applying for your OPT, which should be done 90 days before the end of your program.
Thanks

Good morning
Where are you going: I am going to Georgia Southern University for my masters program in electrical engineering with specialization in power electronics
Why the school : I chose GSU because they have higher number of professors in the field of power management electronics which I am interested in, as compared to other schools with professors research focusing on power conversion aspect of the course.. I also got interested in professor massoud davaris research where he is currently investigating how to use ICs to ensure smart and efficient means of managing power **nods

Why this course: I chose the course because I already have my ug in electrical and electronics engineering and considering my work experience where I manage power solutions for Telecom equipment.. * she made a sign like she didn't hear... So I had to repeat that part..** Then I fire on hence this course will give me opportunity to advance my career and make me an expert in this field. It will also give me a competitive advantage while joining multinational companies in the energy sector here in Nigeria such as GE and Schneider electric

How many other schools you applied to: 2, Florida State University in Florida and St. Cloud state university in Minnesota
Did you write any test: yes I wrote GRE and IELTS. I had 298 in my Gre and 7band score in ielts
Who is sponsoring you: my uncle '''''''''' CEO of ''''', one of d most reputable FMCG companies that specializes in production of bla bla bla
Who is he related to. : **i didn't hear clearly hear... She had to repeat there times
And I answered... he is from my mother side..my mother's Elder brother
She asked for his bank statement... I passed it.... She looks at it... And types.... She asked me... How much have I saved... I said 1.7million equivalent to 4500$
*she wanted to return the bank statements den she quickly checked the last page again.
She then passed the pink paper bla bla bla

Funding is the issue here. If what your uncle has is 35500$ and your i20 bal is 39k$. It won't fly

Sorry for the denial. First mistake you make is not to get a funding from the school that gave you the admission. Try and get fund and apply again. All the best to you. Which embassy do u went to?

Like i said. Funding is the issue here. If they minus 39k$ from your uncle's money, what will remain? So he should survive with 1k$ just cos he wants to sponsor you? You are not even his child for him to spend that huge on you. 60k$ and above Statement of account would have been better.

To get funding for engineering programs before arrival is almost impossible. Especially for Msc.

Good day everyone,

I just got my F-1 visa renewed after an interview. My original program start/end date was 14th August 2017 - 15th May 2019. I extended my program till 13th December 2019 (i.e 7 months from now) and it's evident on my I-20. Prior to this renewal, I have a visa valid till 13th July 2019(I.e 2months from now).

Please educate me on the likely validity of the just renewed visa. Is it going to be the 7 months spectrum, less than or the usual 2 years?
Has any student for whatever reason been approved of visa with less than 2 years validity?

Thank you gurus

your student status is only valid for the time you are a student. even if the visa is for 2 years, you are only a student for 7 months so either you get on OPT or return to Nigeria. it's one of those things that can cause issues for you if you try to adjust your status down the line because it will be seen as unlawful presence. do the right thing.

There is nothing like oversabi in what he was saying. He was only trying to help by telling you what he thought was the right thing for you to do next.

All the VOs expects all students to take Standardize tests no matter what, and sees students that did not take the test as an unserious student.

What he was trying to say is that, what if you try again without taking the GRE and you get to the interview and the VO ask you if you take the test and you said No. It takes only the Grace of God to be approved Visa if the VO ask about Standardize Test and you said you didn't take it. You wouldn't know the type of question the VO would ask you. The VO might not even ask you about English Proficiency Test in your next interview but ask for Standardize Test.

There is sense in what he was saying, you just chose to hate his words because you don't like him. Stop seeing him like he's acting oversabi. Think over his advice before you reapply. At least, you will be able to tell the VO that something has changed about your application.

Who knows maybe God used him to tell you what might hinder you from getting your Visa in your next attempt so you can work towards it.

My advice though.

Just as a side note, a lot of programs are starting to dump GRE and this standardized test myth might not hold water in a few years.

This is a graph of top 50 US schools. The percentage shows the number of programs who have dropped GRE requirements for their respective courses and that number is growing year over year.

If it's not pure madness, I don't see what someone going to study public admin is doing with GRE.

The exam doesn't correlate with ability to publish papers in graduate school; it doesn't account for the number of times a candidate wrote it; it also doesn't consider the financial constraints that applicant had while writing it. The more money u can through around on practice material, d better for u. all it does is get alot of Asian kids in who quite a lot of times don't look as bright as their GRE suggests when the heat is on.

In all these, it is not wise for one to go to the embassy without taking any standardized test .

And only a handful of schools are in support of the GRExit movement. So GRE is here to stay.

After sending official ND and HND, your friend will need to send official waec result via waec head office in yaba to Wes

I don’t know if your intended school will want you to send a scanned copy of your ND and HND, or you have to do the Wes evaluation and send a scan copy to them

Please I have a question. The total cost of my Msc is 32,712(tuition:16,680 Living expenses:16,032) I got a GA(19,392. Full tuition waiver and little monthly stipends). I have a deficit of 13,330(4.7million naira). Can my uncle's SOA of 6million naira be sufficient to secure a visa?
