1) Yes, you need your personal account statement with verifiable income source. And the statement has to meet up with UK standard. Most UK visit visa denials are centered on bank statements. So, they have a standard. Marriage, property, investments could also serve as good ties to home country. Besides, you are not a minor. You have to be able to prove to the ECO that you have things to return to in Nigeria at the end of your visit. If your uncle is sponsoring the trip solely, visa won't be approved cos you would be showing stronger ties to the UK than Nigeria. If your uncle provides full sponsorship, they will know you want to japa.

2) You can reapply if denied, as long as the reason(s) for refusal can be addressed.

3) About 6 months.

Thanks so Much for your response.
Please do you have an idea of the minimum amount that I must posses in my bank statement before been considered?

Is it also mandatory I supply my source of income?

Thanks.

Salary account or savings account.... ? 10k - 1.1m looks like a red flag to me ... well ur salary determines the how you were able to save such amount within a 6months.

My salary is 200k after tax and i sometimes receive rents from tenants

Good to hear that ur salary is 200k and that you receive funds from your property. How much is ur monthly expenses? are you married with kids? What documents have you to tender to show that the property your being paid the rent does exist ? How much do u receive from rent?

YOU NEED TO DO UR MATHEMATICS VERY WELL OR ELSE IT WONT FLY.

If ur monthly expenses is 70k.. then you have 130k left

130×6 = 780.... rent of( 320k) to make 1.1m...

Ok i get that now..

Obviously they will ask you questions about your parents , where about you lived in the UK, your history in the UK, things like the school you attended, hospital where you were born etc
Thanks Oga Justwise!
Those were exactly the questions my interviewer asked during my interview about an hour ago. She seemed satisfied with my responses and was friendly.. She however didn't say anything about the UK passport after my interview.
Thanks again for your help.

I appreciate your response for real. My monthly expenses is roughly 50k my wife is also working and supportive. No kids yet.

Rent is paid in 3 to 6 months which receipts are issued and i have other document to back it up

My question is, my monthly expenditure varies from month to month, how can i balance that.

Also i have traveled to couple countries since my last refusal

Please keep in touch and God bless

Source of income is important. For instance, you can't just borrow money from people and put in your account or ask people to pay money into your account for visa purpose. It's called money lodgment. Every amount that comes into your account has to be accounted for. It's either u r self employed or u have a business. With papers to support whatever your claim may be. As for the minimum amount needed in your account, you have to state to what extent your uncle is ready to support you. If he is providing accommodation, feeding and other expenses within the UK. Then you will be needing money to cover your flight to and fro the UK, BTA in your account and also money for your upkeep when you return to 9ja. Cos they expect you to have some money to fall back on when you return. Indicate whatever support your uncle is willing to provide for u if it's different from is stated above. If that is stated, you can be advised further on what amount you might be needing.

So far you have other documents to back it up no probs ... your monthly expenditure can never be the same so no hassle about that... your travel history would also help your application...

My ten years visa was approved. Thanks to God and every one who has contributed to this forum, those who posted their successful story and those who posted their refusal letter. I did it all myself without any agent. I read from this forum that i can apply for ten years visa after my 2years visa expired and i did. My last two visa application i used 3 months statement and it was approved but this one i had access to my 4 months and some weeks statement so I just decided to use it. The only money i spent for this visa was #3,000 and my visa fee only, the 3k ws for printing, scanning and data subscription. If i can do it then you can, just make sure you pray and submit the right document. Prayer without work is useless.

Pls kind pple help me review this refusal letter. My friend's mum got it not quite long. Dunno where the mistake came from. Her mum submitted an E statement from access bank as access bank claims they don't print out statement of acct again to pple using it for visa application. So they gave her a login I. Dn password that was meant for them to use to view her statement. She wasn't even allowed to see it as they claim its only meant for them at the embassy. Cos from. The refusal it seems they didn't see any statement. The closing balance was 1.2mill and no lump sum deposited..
Pls help and how soon can she reapply.
Thanks

I am telling u that is what they said. She's there at the moment complaining abt it. And they still insist the fault is not from them n UKba instructed them not to print out statement for pple if they are using it to apply for visa. Its just confusing to he honest.

It's TRUE some banks insists that you let them forward the e statement to the embassy and you would be given a login I'd and password... but she should have insisted .. Sterling bank said the same in March 2019 when my sister applied for UK Visa... I told the lady to do both e statement and also give us a hard copy. Go to your bank and explain this to them so as to know what they have caused your mum. Get a hard copy of the statement... write a strong explanatory letter and re apply asap.

Always be honest and consistent in your visa applications. Don't conceal visa refusals no matter the country. Even if you aren't found out now, you can be found out tomorrow and the consequences would be grave. A visa refusal has does not reduce your chances as long as you weren't refused for dishonesty or for criminal record.

Hi Justwise and All,

Can I apply for a visit visa 6 months after joining a new company. I was denied in 2016 based on my previous salary which was 100,000. However, I got a new job in February with a salary above 300,000 and I would like to apply by August.

Your advice would be very appreciated.

Thanks
