Evening All,

Thank everyone that has helped in one way or the other.

I have some questions...

1. I have HND/OND (biochemistry) but I've been practicing as a credit/investment analyst for 3 years... Pls do i have to evaluate both degress and waec too?

2. I simulated my score on CRS portal to get a total of 416, pls who has been in my shoes that can help to increase my chances of getting in the pool cus of this recent high cut off point of 470.

3. What NOC fits my current job description? Credit/investment analyst

1. Use WES for your evaluation you will definitely evaluate your WAEC alongside both ND and HND
2. Do the simulation well u can also consider TEF too
3. Post you JD so the profs on that can help out

Hi guys,
I have 3 years work experience as Customer service(supervisor) from 2015 till 2018. I obtained my masters degree in 2018 while working with Zenith Bank PLC. Please, can I claim points for my previous experience as a Customer service supervisor? Also, will I be able to use my masters degree for the EE since I got it after my 3 years experience? Lastly, the company I worked no longer exist in my state, can I use a reference letter dated just before they closed business in 2018? I would really appreciate your response becasue I don't want to make any mistake. Tnx

My application was approved on 21st May and according to the agents, forwarded to Accra to issue PPR. They said Ottawa issued it on 21st but I didn’t see any mail though. The agent said we should give it sometime and I’m worried why Accra should issue it.

You will get it through Accra

Thanks @harry41.
I got an update. Application was approved May 3rd and still with Case Processing Center, Ottawa.

I'm wondering if that's where my PPR will be sent from or they'll still forward to AVO before I get PPR.
The wait is not funny anymore. embarassed

You can book when your faith feels like booking. Just joking, please book when you pass IELTS and the cost is 35,000 for adult and 27,000 per child. You can call them up ahead to book and you can always move the appointment forward to a later date if you ain’t ready to go in for medicals
kentoski:

Thank you for this well detailed information, although I'm still quite far from this stage. grin

Please in your opinion at what stage in the journey is best to book medicals? Knowing how the long queues always is, when is it advisable to book, and any information on the bills for the medicals in these clinics? Thank you very much in advance.

Hi guys, please I have these questions:

(a) If you are exempted from writing some modules of a certification exam due to your academic qualification (e.g you only wrote 2 out of 4 modules that made up a certification) and you were issued your certificate afterwards, will WES evaluate the certificate when your transcript is sent to them?

(b) Will cic still accept this as TWO or MORE certificate bearing in mind the exemption?

Please anyone that has passed through this process should give their experience and our able seniors too can help me with this riddle, as I am about to take a decision on this. I dont want what will cause wahala later abeg.

@Topsmamen, @Ladymarshall, @Ifeoma77 ou guys should help out too. Thanks.

I used ACCA certificate. I was exempted from 6papers out of the 14papers and still got it evaluated as 4years degree equivalent while my ND also as 2years diploma passing as two or more certificates. I did not evaluate my HND, it was taking my school eternity to provide transcript (change of system story) hence I emailed WES to remove HND and replace with ACCA.

For anyone who intend to evaluate HND, you cannot evaluate only HND as WES will request for the ND also as it serves as a prerequisite for HND.
Cheers

Accra is also a visa office so some applications are processed there from start to finish. Amazingly, Accra VO has been said to be on fire recently and PPRs are being dished out in 2 months. Keep an open mind and keep praying
Folafikemi:
So I called CIC this morning to determine the stage at which my application is after a quiet while (PNP) and I got the shocker. Was told the processing office is at ACCRA.

I was mute for a sec. Pls I want to know if my thinking is coordinated o. Thought PPR will first surface before getting involved with Accra VO and pls family what should I expect as I have heard lots of not so interesting story and delay about Accra VO. Thanks

Wow! Thank you so much. I'm determined to leave this country within this year however possible, IELTS preparation in progress but I still have more questions.

1. I read about PNPand thought to myself while waiting and prepping for another IELTS, won't it be nice if I applied for PNP even with my low CRS of 387? If this is possible, do I need to create an EE profile first before applying for PNP? Will I need to pay for the application?

2. Can I subsequently update my profile in the event of a better IELTS scores?

3. Can I apply to more than one PNP?

4. How can I combine NOCs as I have experience that cuts across Technical Support, Customer Service Supervisor, Agricultural consultant and Forest Biometrics and Remote Sensing Analyst?

5. Please anyone that has Wasseynewest's WhatsApp contact or any phone number should kindly help me with it, I have been trying to connect with him without success and it's quite urgent that I connect with him ASAP.

Thanks.

Congratulations darling my belly dancers are on spring break, I could have invited them to play for free. What a typical example of express entry plus I had a good laugh at your husband’s way of using Canada to woo you. It’s a great step to a good life and I am sure your generation will not regret it. Now to the real deal, I want to gladly mark this script and I will be giving you 8.99/10 for expressly taking us through your journey

PA IELTS - Nov 2018

SA ECA - Nov 2018
Profile created - 20th Dec 2018
CRS – 451
Draw Cutoff - 449
ITA - Jan 10
lt).

Since I hadn’t concluded my Masters at the time, we agreed that hubby should be the PA as he has a Masters degree. So we registered for IELTS and had 3 runs at it before he got the desired score;

1st IELTS – LSRW 7.5, 7, 7.5, 7 - July (MOD)
2nd IELTS – LSRW 7.5, 7, 5.5, 7 - Sept (MOD)
3rd IELTS – LSRW 8.5, 7, 7.5, 7 - November 1 (BC)

While hubby was trying to make IELTS we registered for WES evaluation of his UK masters. That was a breeze and was ready long before mine that commenced months before. By the time I learnt evaluation with statement of result was possible, it was around July or so and not long after there was ASUU strike. I persisted shaa and got one of the people that works in exams and record to help me which she did. After preparing my transcript, to get it signed was another war but God came through for me. Oya make una send am na… wahala come start. One story or the other every day. Anyway to God be the glory it was eventually sent. Time for verification nko, another longggg story. Today no light, gen is bad and all sorts of annoying stories. Then the woman comes one day and says “aunty why not let’s send this thing via post’? Say what My eyes bulged out of their sockets. So that is even possible? What have you been waiting for na? Madam come talk say she dey pity me cos I had spent so much. Chai I provoke no be smo!! Iziya monii? My people na 3k aunty d epp me save o. That’s how verification was sent via post and evaluation was finally concluded in November just a few days before Bae’s 3rd IELTS result came out. Come and feel the joy in our home… it was not here at all o.

We finally dived into the pool on the 20th December, 2018 hoping to get ITA with the next draw which we did.

ITA came on the 10th January. I called QLife on the 11th to book for medicals and was told the next available date was 7th March…Isi gini Called IOM and got 4th February (my birthday) and in my mind I was like so I should come and spend my birthday with you people akwaya? Lai Lai. I dashed down to Qlife and tried every trick in the book to get a closer date but that didn’t work so we kukuma took the date like that. Medicals 7th March - QLife

• PCC was through the very pleasant inspector Moshood at 8k for both of us.
• UK PCC for hubby was very straight forward.
• Work experience: We submitted hubby’s Offer letters and Reference letters in IRCC format for the two jobs we were claiming points for (both in the same NOC). @newmum0615 was an MVP in ensuring we picked the correct NOC.
• POF: Stanbic IBTC Money Market Fund letter in IRCC format only. No statements submitted.
• We attached Degree Certificates, ECA and IELTS in each of the place holders for our education.
• Digital photo was taken at Studio 24 on 13th January. We got both soft and hardcopies. I’m glad we can still use the hardcopies now.
• I had just gotten a new passport with change of name in January and therefore only uploaded the digital page of the new passport. Hubby uploaded the digital page and stamped pages of his.
• Marriage License: Court wedding certificate
• Change of Name: Court wedding certificate, NPP and Sworn affidavit

We went for our medicals on the 7th March. After we were allowed in, I quickly dashed to Stanbic IBTC office to pick up our Proof of Funds letter which we had requested for two days before and dashed back to the hospital. I had started experiencing a slight HBP a few before this time. I did not want to take meds before the medical exam because I didn’t want traces of meds in my urine. A colleague suggested garlic which I started taking…Kai it was not funny “still yet” my BP was high. The nurse that attended to us was very nice and tried to calm me down. She tried two more times and with each try it came down. She still wrote the last result in red before sending me off to the doctor. On speaking with the doctor and having another go, it finally came down to a reasonable level but the doctor still asked me to run a Creatinine test which came out ok.

We came home that day and using a sterling bank card opened solely for this purpose (for the love of exchange rate), we made our payments and submitted our application at 11:35pm.

From my experience, nothing beats a straight forward application. Except you absolutely have to, make every document as simple and straight forward as possible. No need for LOE really.

I won’t talk so much about the wait because it’s nothing compared to what a lot of other people have endured and are still enduring.

I will just leave one prayer with us “God will answer us all speedily irrespective of the time that has passed already.” We never ceased praying and being thankful for the opportunity.

Do not give up hope because God is never late. This has been my testimony since this month of May.

May the blessings go round, Amen!!!

· Filling of daily FDRs and all acknowledgment of correspondence within the unit in line
with the ISSO policy.
· Processing all assigned schedules in with the daily allocation
· Reporting and following up on all schedules related issues to RM /RU daily; if any.
* Investing clients pension into stocks, bonds and equity according to daily fund price.
· I arranged and implemented direct promotions, marketing and sales campaign.
· I participated in strategic sessions to identify potential clients and prospects.
· I ensured proper KYC and first contact with customers to crosscheck against mis-information.
· I conducted thorough assessments to verify client’s creditworthiness (business and home)
· I ensured compliance with standards and mitigated risks attached to client’s business.
· I prepared short and long-term loans for disbursal to customers.
· I ensured and monitored prompt monthly repayment of disbursed loans.

*** Pls I don't get what you mean by TEF? Is this another type of English proficiency exam?

congratulations @Dame91 on your PPR and I love the fact that you are taking this step with family (I am not being biased ooooo) This script wants to make me sleep so I will just give it 2/10 but there is room for remark ooo but not later than 3 days after PPR
Dame91:
To God be the glory!!

Finally PPR is upon us !!!
Here's my timeline. I can't really remember some of the details now to be honest. It seems like its been a very long while.

ITA: sometime in February 2018
AOR: 24/04/2018
1st PPR: 11/09/2018
Notified CIC of my intentions to get married
ADR for my husband's documents: 13/09/2018
Submited documents: 28/10/2018
ADR: 10/01/2019
PpR: 28/05/2019

I thought PPT would come in a few days.. but not was I in for a surprise
Request to do medicals again: 5/03/2019
Then we waited for ppr mail to come and nothing did. I was confused and worried so I came on this platform to ask for advice. I was told to send a mail. I sent a mail to AVO and still got nothing. So yesterday morning I sent a mail to AVO again and copied Cpc_ctd_ottawa and in less than 20 minutes I got a mail in my inbox stating that I had a new mail in my CIC account. In my mind i was like what does this people want again. I was so excited to see the PPR mail and it was even dated the same day.
Thanks guys for your advice. I really really appreciate it.

I think if ur school send it through the official mail it will be accepted. Just keep tabs with them, when they fax it, u should confirm from WES that they receive and acknowledge it.

Better still send WES a mail to confirm

Please i want know if anyone here has sent their transcript as a soft copy via fax by the school to WES or must it be sent via courier?
UNN has 2 options. 1. soft copy via fax 2.hard copy via courier.

Despite the sky rocketed CRS lately, I believe we should still congratulate the few lucky ones while our prayer and best wishes to the hopefuls. "CONGRATULATIONS".

Meanwhile, I implore others still in the pool to consider chances of boosting their CRS(TEF) or go the PNP way sharply. I understand the processes can be way too demanding but it just might be our fastest way out.

We all really need to do everything "legally possible" to get here my people. It's a different world entirely where human lives, well being and convenience is prioritized above any other thing.

One love always and salute to alllllllll.

Good day all

I've been a silent reader (I actually just figured out how to post on nairaland. I hope I'm doing this right)

So I received my first Copr on the 10th and submitted my passport to vfs Abuja last week Thursday.

- Apart from the letter from FRSC, what else do I need to get before leaving naija?
- Can I start applying for jobs now?
- My medicals will expire on the 1st of August, do you have any idea how long it takes to get the final COPR?
- Lastly, please can anyone add me to a beneficial whatsapp group for those preparing to land and those already in Canada?

Thanks and God bless.

Please House, I hope someone can create time to react to this:

1. I try to read about Manitoba Skilled worker PNP and it looks ok. But I am a bit confused. The age bracket 21 - 46 years has the highest mark while as you grow old in express entry pool, the score drops. My question is can I enter into the express entry pool, and also apply to Manitoba PNP same time?. If I am issued Letter to apply in Manitoba PNP, will it assist the express entry pool or conflict?. Please note I read this on a website and i DO NOT know what to make of it:

Express Entry candidates with an enhanced provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry ranking score and are effectively fast-tracked for an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

2. What is the difference between the Federal Skilled Workers and Skilled Workers for PNP. Are they the same and which one has the lower benchmark in all these immigration programme.

3. Where can one get the CRS to apply to PNP programme or it is the same as Express Entry

Please advise, as I am just learning this. Thank you.

Express Entry candidates with an enhanced provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry ranking score and are effectively fast-tracked for an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

The PNP nomination automatically gives you 600 extra points under the express entry program. It will boost your scores under the express entry program. You can create an express entry profile while applying to Manitoba, once the nomination comes, you update your express entry profile and get your extra 600points

2. What is the difference between the Federal Skilled Workers and Skilled Workers for PNP. Are they the same and which one has the lower benchmark in all these immigration programme.

The FSW Programme is a stream under the express entry program. Provinces like Manitoba usually select certain people having specific features already registered under the express entry program.

3. Where can one get the CRS to apply to PNP programme or it is the same as Express Entry

When you create your express entry profile, you get a CRS score, it may be less than 400 in your case which is usually too low to receive ITA under the FSW program. If you're successful with the PNP application you get the 600 extra points to push you above current draw scores and get you the ITA.

Please advise, as I am just learning this. Thank you.

Please note that this is all very limited information. Please check my reply to your post from yesterday and you'll see the link to the PNP thread on Nairaland. You should get better information there.
