Pls advise, I'm in my second year with a 4.11 and I'm trying so hard to move over to a 4.6 above, I read so hard I never have time for anything. I'm 21 this year and have 4 years left in college. whatdo I need to do please to increase my chances of lecturing after graduating.

What you need to do is to read harder.

Start reading immediately your lecturers start lecturing.
Do researches. Know what works for a particular lecturer. There are lecturers that enjoy long epistles, there are ones that enjoy drawing, there are once that enjoy provings( that's if you are in any mathematics related courses.)

There was this visiting lecturer from futo then. From 300level-400level, had his courses B, it got to a point that we begged him to show us his marking scheme, lol, we later found out that this man allots more mark to definitions which will involve you doing further researches and all that. And also, he likes proving a point using diagrams and well labelled drawings.

We followed him that way and I and some few guys made his courses As in 500level both first and second semester.
Remember to ask them how they mark their scripts too. Don't forget to be friends with your predecessors; ask them.for notes and about how a new lecturer behaves and attends to students.

So much stress in Nigerian Universities. cry

Try to have time for other important good things too. Second class upper is enough to get a lecturing job.

I graduated with 4.48 and my only regret in school then is that I didn't use my time for more other important things.

It's not written on my certificate that I have 4.48 but rather second class upper. Same written for someone with 3.5 cheesy cheesy cheesy. Am doing businesses and am living comfortably.

I Never applied for any white collar job in my life.

As much as you want to finish with a very wonderful GPA, I would advise from experience that you try "Live life" a little. (Be sociable, know what goes on in your environment) u never can tell, u may need those information in the future.
