So In 2019 Paypal Still Bans Nigeria From Receiving Payment? by faceland: 11:11pm On May 30, 2019 |
I am surprised that this policy still stand and might not be removed soon (with the likes of Naira Marley inspiring all these wannabes scammers). How can someone who owns a legitimate business received payment from Nigeria (without buying any fucking eBook)? I thank God that white men discovered the internet and computers otherwise a Nigerian would have taxed access to knowledge. 2 Likes |

Facts check, A nigerian mathematicians work was part.of what.lead to "the internet". Blacklisting Africas most populous country from some Services isnt about cybercrime excuse they give but hate and reservation for blacks especially nigerians 2018 list of countries with.heaviest Cybercrime Activities include US, Russia, Korea, and other european countries stealing billions annually, and Nigeria isnt top 1-20 If you've leaved with the whitemen, you'd understand this hate and envy goes dipper than fraud, Dangote an honest billionaire has constantly bidded heavily for Arsenal, yet get turned down even with more bids. So the sooner you come to terms with realities, the faster you can know how to relate with them. faceland: . 5 Likes |

solmusdesigns:no need to educate all this miscreants they think it's because of just fewer yahoo boys that's causing the hate the white have for blacks... I guess it's yahoo boys that cause the demolition of Bini kingdom and arrest of Bini oba? I guess it's yahoo boys that cause the demolition of opobo kingdom and king jaja. All this Africa countries been demolished during the colonization.. I guess it's Yahoo boy that cause black Americans to suffer, can't attend same school, same hospital, even same church that lead Martin Luther king Jr to revolt What about the one in South Africa? See the white haven't seen anything yet. It's just the beginning 3 Likes |

solmusdesigns: I am surprised by your point of view and there is absolutely some true to it. However, Eastern Europeans and Asians engage in hacking but ours are regular people disturbing the customer experience An online company can insure cyber attacks and recover all the stolen money, but how do they recover customer that ran away because 8 different "Sani Abacha's wife want to transfer billions into their account"? If Bill Gates was a Nigerian, he would have still been a billionaire but instead of wishing every home own a PC, he would wish every billionaire own a PC while the regular people are left in mystery of what a PC is. Go ask a rich Nigerian how he made it and he would tell you "na God oh" . 1 Like 1 Share |

Obaofusa: I would have taken you seriously if it wasn't for your mention of the smelling South Africans. Anyway, since Yahoo Boyz are few (as you said), post your email address here and wait one month, then check your spam folder and tell me if Yahoo Boyz are few. However, without derailing, it is clear/unfair that the 200 million Nigerians would be deprived of a service because of the actions of may be 10k youths (90% of whom are just stupid and would never hit a mugu in their life-time). 2 Likes |

Don't be sentimental or develop auto perception of things when it's related to relationships between blacks and whites. PayPal not accepting Nigeria is not about hate or cyber crime that's synonymous to Nigerians. Cyber crime is a global issue and threat. The fact is about Nigeria monetary policy, instability in exchange rate and fair value of the naira. I've spoken with one of their staff members before and the point is, when something things are being put right about our currency exchange, they will approve Nigeria to accept payment and she said, if things go wrong with our monetary policy that they feel it's not in compliance with their policies and operation, they can put it on hold and this is applicable to any other country. questechie:And since Nigerians have been ranting or believing in something else, what has it changed for you. Na you force them to start accepting Nigeria in making payment? Are you aware they're making money when you accept payment rather than sending fund? Do you think they don't know the millions of dollars they're leaving on the table for not accepting Nigeria in receiving funds like others? SMH |

ayufun: That employee is just trying to be nice and avoid law suit for human right or racial discrimination (which all big companies does). If their excuse is true, then they should ban bank withdrawal but allow us to trade the PayPal money with others capable of depositing it in our account. Or can't they say, "due to your countries exchange rate policy (which we have no problem collecting you money in Naira), you can not withdraw directly to your bank but can transfer to loved once in the US or purchase things with it". |

faceland:While you think this opinion is easy to apply, it isn't. Don't forget PayPal is a business entity and their activities are governed by laws of the country of their establishment. If there's no such service for other countries, they can't create a lone service for Nigeria. Taking Nigeria out of PayPal penetration in Africa, they're with nothing to reckon with and not accepting Nigerians to withdraw now is nothing they're comfortable with. We just have to reason from business perceptive, they can't risk their license and they have to abide by their laws. Recently, the bank withdrawal button has started showing on Nigerian PayPal and when you click on it, it redirects to wallet and I hope something good would come soon |

ayufun: It never ceases to amaze me the fact that most African people continue to refuse to wake up and see these so-called "white people" for what they really are and the ill-will and negative agenda they have towards them. In spite of all the horrible things they have being doing to them for centuries and are still doing to them. First of all, do you think Nigeria is the only African country whose residents PayPal prevents from being able to receive funds? PayPal has placed the same prohibitions on MOST sub-saharan African countries, including the smaller, relatively stable and peaceful countries where there is no such culture as 'Yahoo boys' or any of that nonsense. Paypal STILL prevents them from being able to receive funds or do any kind of transaction. (Of course there are the obvious exceptions of countries like South Africa with significant populations of their fellow "whites" who they of course would not want to shut out of the global economy. But when it comes to other African countries, the MO is different.) There are many many countries in other continents, from Eastern Europe to Asia to South America, that are engaged in FAR MORE online and financial crime and fraud than most African countries combined. YET, you don't see Paypal banning any of them except the ones that the US government has placed sanctions on for purely political reasons (such as North Korea or Iran) but not because of fraud. And think about it for a second. Just think about it. How the hell does it make any sense to ban ENTIRE COUNTRIES of millions of enterprising people who do legitimate work simply because of the activities of a few hoodlums? Where else do you see that kind of logic being applied other than to black people? And it is not only PayPal that is doing this to African people. Other US based online companies have placed similar restrictions or outright bans on black African countries, preventing most of their citizens from being able to engage in any international transactions by which they can earn an income. And it is not just financial companies. Many US based online stores such as ebook platforms like Smashwords and D2D have also placed similar bans on black countries, thus preventing their citizens from competing in the e-market. And regarding that nonsensical excuse that that so-called "white lady" staffer of PayPal bamboozled you with, are you really that gullible as to buy that nonsense? Do you really believe that it is because of "instability of exchange rate" that made them place a permanent ban (which has been going on for more than two decades now, from the moment Paypal became international) upon Nigerian citizens? Is that also the same excuse by which they have also banned other African countries? Or will she make up a different fancy-sounding excuse for each one to bamboozle someone from that country with? By the way, are you aware that African banks have dollar accounts as well as the regular accounts in their national currencies? Did it never occur to you that someone can always just pay or receive money in dollars regardless of what country they are in? And speaking of unstable currencies and inflation, who is largely responsible for that? Are you unaware of all the horrible shenanigans that the IMF and other western institutions have been perpetrating on African countries, effectively destroying their economies and forcing them to be in debt and perpetual financial slavery? Of course, they've always had their collaborators in the countries themselves, who are always supported by them and placed in positions of political power. But that is an issue for another topic. Listen, the reality at the end of the day is that Paypal and other US online trade/transactional institutions shutting out African countries the way they are doing is simply one of the many ways in which the US and its western collaborators shut African people out of the global economy and prevent them from engaging in legitimate competition regarding exchange of goods and skills. It is the same reason why they NEVER offshore any jobs or industries to Africa regardless of cheap labor and skilled workforce, while they will offshore tons of jobs and industries to Asian and South American countries where there are comparable (or even worse) levels of poverty and corruption. It is the same reason why they ban African farmers from exporting their produces to their countries even while bribing or forcing African governments to let them dump their own produces on Africans at exorbitant prices, and that is after deliberately enhancing them so that their seeds cannot be grown in African climates. These are the same people who constantly put out propaganda in the media presenting themselves as angels who care about African people and are willing to sacrifice billions of "aid" to help those "poor helpless Africans". Yet, at the same time, they are the ones doing everything in their power to cripple any ability of African populations to compete or thrive economically, which the media never reports. And not to mention that the so-called "aid" money they give African countries is actually predatory loans, which the western media also deceives the uninformed public about. If you are simply unable to, or refuse to see, that this is just part of a larger pattern of western countries, particularly the US, subjugating and frustrating black people (not even just in Africa but the larger world in general) from competing and thriving like the rest of the world, and constantly kicking the rug out from under them in every respect, then that is your problem. |
