I own a car. It's not innoson. Innoson don't sell tokunbo. They sell new cars whose price will be out of the reach of an average Nigerian like me. Nigeria does not have a functional car ownership system where you can get cheap and affordable car loans.
But buhari is the President. If Trump can use an American made car, same with May, Merkel and Jumping and he says he want to encourage manufacturing and export, don't you think giving the contract to innoson will send the right signal to the manufacturing sector as a whole?
Anything security and safety can be purchased from third party like Benz by innoson. This will balloon the price but think of the gain to innoson in terms of expertise and exposure to technology. For me, it's an opportunity missed and it shows buhari is all talk with no vision or ideas.
