Ibime: Then he had a contract valid for 2 more years. You made a good point about possible agent interference, but the story just does not add up based on the club and player in question. For Ajax to finally agree to sell him and for him to leave Ajax and Dutch starting line up and go to reserve team of another club seems a tall tale. |

afrodoc2: Brandt has buyout clause and Hazard was in last year of contract. That was the only reason a confirmed German and Belgium international can go that cheap. Those boys are worth £45m+ on the open market. Both will replace barber without sweating. Brandt has a hint of DeBruyne about him if you ask me. Big clubs would have been in for them, but Dortmund in the only club where you are guaranteed starting shirt and UCL football every year without fail. Players with great skill but low repute/exposure always choose Dortmund for the UCL exposure. That allows them to get their reputation to where they can walk into the biggest clubs and demand starting shirt without having to muddle through politics of being a no name. 2 Likes |

afrodoc2: Brandt is playing CM now. He moved there in January and has been flying. It suits him more. Same way DeBruyne moved from LW at Genk to AM and finally to CM, Brandt is going the same way. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:19pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: We will see how they do. Thorgan is 26 and is still a prospect and Brandt is 23. They could have replaced the retiring old men at Bayern but the Bayern management didn’t think they were capable. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:20pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: I don't think so. The boy look like a money hungry player who would have been ready to engage in brinksmanship with Ajax to let him go. . . judging by his antecedents since then such as signing with Raiola and hawking himself to the highest bidder now, rather than the best sporting project |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:22pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: Can he play CM in EPL. Without playing for Pep’s possession team? It would be a big risk for us and I think we did well not going after them. Why didn’t Chelsea buy back your old boy Thorgan to replace his brother? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:24pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: Bayern are looking for flying wingers, not playmaker type wingers. Them going to Bayern will put them at odds with club keyend Muller and Goretzka. Better to go where Pulisic and possibly Sancho will be making way. There is nothing to say Bayern weren't interested. Clubs only make a bid these days after they have come to agreement with the players. Who knows if Bayern discussed terms with the players but were told they prefer Dortmunds arrangement. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:25pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: Lol. Maybe..... But he is an Ajax fan and was last seen making that Spartacus speech about the club’s history and Johan Cruyff etc Signing with Raiola, especially at this young age is a bit of a red flag though. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:27pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: Thorgan has rejected the idea of returning to Chelsea, besides we have transfer ban. On another note, if you know your brother is going into transfer brinksmanship with Chelsea this summer, it's a good idea to stay away from that situation. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:30pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: We don’t want playmaker wingers either. We are not Pep’s Man City. Brandt on the wings would have been another Mata for us, and like i said I don’t think he will cope with EPL central midfield duties. Thorgan on the other hand is not physically gifted in terms of strength and speed like his brother. Probably an Everton, Wolves level player. Just my opinion, cos I haven’t seen so much of him. We need better than those 2 if we are to get back to challenging for titles. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 8:31pm On May 31, 2019 |
Rabiot heavily rumoured again. Not sure how I feel about him. I didn't watch him much this season but he was pretty good last season. Its the rumours about his attitude and drama I don't like hearing. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:34pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: Brandt definitely has energy levels for that. Football is changing. Attacking players are becoming more energetic/hardworking due to the high press. Working hard is no longer an issue for many of them. Wijnaldum made that switch before DeBruyne, now we are seeing Bernardo Silva going same way. You cannot typecast a player. Even Dwight Yorke finished his career at CM at Sunderland |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:34pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: Lmao. I thought it was an amicable parting, sort of a “conscious uncoupling”. Funny thing is despite all the criticism of our front line I think the departments where we desperately need upgrade are CB and CM. The wing forwards will just be icing on the cake. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:35pm On May 31, 2019 |
MRTA7: Rabiot and DeLigt will fit in well the other green eyes monsters - Sanchez , Martial and Pogba |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:37pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: It's only amicable so long as Marina don't keep rejecting bids. In the background, Hazard agent and Marina will be swearing at each other in meetings. All this is just washing for the cameras |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:37pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: We will see how well he does at Dortmund cos that is one team I have followed for decades, so I will definitely watch most of his games. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:40pm On May 31, 2019 |
MRTA7: Be rest assured about Rabiot’s quality. The guy is a potential world beater. Be very alarmed about his attitude. He is a truant. This is worsened by the fact that he obviously got his traits from his mother who is possibly even worse. I like him, but I don’t like him. 1 Like |

Ibime: Piano player is the worst of the lot. Fenibeso thunder fire Ed Woodward daily for that deal. Martial is just lazy. He is not greedy and he is not envious. I think we have all had that colleague who is very likable and popular at work but just phucking lazy. That’s Martial. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:44pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: Liverpool were im for Thorgan BTW, he rejected them. Who want go compete with Mame and Salah if he is in his right senses 2 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:47pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: EXACTLY. We want our own Mane and Salah level players not B.Tech versions with limited self-belief. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:49pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: How far that Swansea guy. That guy get energy and pace to sit Martial down if he start him nonsense. Sessegnon is not a bad shout either. Also wetin be una plan for Fonsu-Mensa? I still believe in that boy. He can't be worse than any of your right backs. His only issue is concentration which will iron out with age or be less pronounced in an attacking team. A full back with that boys speed and physicality should not get written off. I think una go regret that guy one day. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 8:52pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: First try reach Spurs and Chelsea level first. Mane and Salah no dey market this summer. Una for manage Thorgan and Brandt as AM, with Sessegnon, James, Neres and Bertrand Traore competing for the wings. Traore can back up Rashford also. Pogba alone can pay for all those players listed, then use Martial and Lukaku money to strengthen midfield. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:59pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: The Swansea guy has speed and work rate but whether he has sense is the one i dont know. Fosu-Mensah needs a long loan or sale to a mid-level club with an iron-clad buyback clause. The potential is there but he needs to develop where his mistakes won't be high profile. The youth team wrecked him. When they were hyping him with "oh Fosu-Mensah is so versatile, world class RB in first half, world class DM in 2nd half and by the way world class CB last week" they didn't know they were confusing the boy. There were 3 of them. TFM, Tuanzebe, and Roshaun and because he was the most physically gifted they played him pretty much everywhere. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 9:04pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: Bertrand Traore? We no want. You guys should buy him back to back up Willian. Newcastle is coming so no time to dilly dally. I remember when Roman bought Chelsea from Ken Bates nobody expererit that a juggernaut was being created. If the Newcastle deal goes through then we are in trouble. That new owner will want to show up his Man City cousin. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ibime(m): 9:15pm On May 31, 2019 |
afrodoc2: If we told you to buy Salah in 2017, you would have made this very same statement. Traore ceiling is very high and should have been prioritised over Willian same as Salah. afrodoc2: That means no hope for una to buy Longstaff again Newcastle no go do anything jare. That place is too cold for foreign players to settle and enjoy their football. Even the footballer wife go slap am to go somewhere where they can "enjoy their money" after one or two years. If I be them I go target the best of Scandinavian, Scottish and Northern European players wey fit stomach that weather. 1 Like |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 9:24pm On May 31, 2019 |
Ibime: Salah and KDB left and quickly proved themselves. I want people that will bench Rashy and Martial, not back them up. Yeah Newcastle is cold, but there is nothing that can cure cold like hot cash. Go see where some of our brothers are practicing medicine in Northern Territory and Western Australia, but the money they make dey cure them. Last last they can buy the best British, Scandinavian, and even German talent as you said. That guy won't come to play 2nd fiddle to his cousin, cos i believe there is a history of family rivalry. 2 Likes |

afrodoc2: Brandt now plays CM and Dortmund plans to play him in CM. We already have enough materials like Goretzka Tolliso and Thiago for CM |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 11:38pm On May 31, 2019 |
raumdeuter: Fair enough. Let’s see him play the CM for 1-2yrs before rating him. I don’t think he will cope well with the demands of that position in the EPL, especially if he is not in a Pep-like team. |

How much will Bruno, Ndidi, James and Ziyech/Pepe/Sancho cost sef? We can start with this and improve again by next transfer window abi. This shouldn't cost more than 150m na |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by diji04(m): 5:15am On Jun 01, 2019 |
Wait oo are we now bidding for every Tom,Dick and Harry for me I think man u should get 4-5 quality players RB(Munier or AWB)CB(de ligt or Alderweird),CM(Rabiot or Ndombele before man City hijacked him)RW(Pepe,James or Sacho) these players would definitely improve the present sqaud and some Deadwood like Rojo, Sanchez and darmian should go while the likes of young,Smalling,Jones and martial should come from the bench |
