Please house the phone is asking for update. My question is how much data will it require. Second question is how technical is it and do I need to back up my files before updating?

The size of each update is stated there. Nothing technical when it comes to OTA just ensure your device is charged download and install

Nope. Today was even the first sales day in China and that's even the K20PRO. The K20 will start on the 6th of June. We don't know if it will be launched officially in 9ja yet. But we can always ship it down... grin

It's a durability test. It involves scratch, bend, drop etc

Yes it is. Glo uses 28b

Guys using Redmi 7 and Note 7 should all report they need band 28a cos of Glo, update on global version might unlock it.

My phone constantly switch between Band 7 and 20 MTN, how do I lock to 20 in order to save battery?

I needed new font styles, but all apps I downloaded and tried do not work.
I wanted to swap the back/recent navigation keys, all I means I searched confirmed stock Android won't allow.

On MTK yes, engineering mode. Don't know of Snapdragon. But the best solution is to know where the signal is the strongest and use the 4G at that point.

I wonder why people keep saying this. I have two memory cards (one 16gb and another 32gb). I've been using them since 2012 (I know it's hard to believe) without having any loss of files.

I still like memory cards, not because of the extra storage, but because of file safety. I know how many times my memory card has saved me when I didn't have my laptop with me (cos I backup my most important files on my laptop and external hard disk for redundancy purposes) plus when my phone battery was flat, even when my phone had issues.

I just pulled out my memory card and collected the files I needed and continued with my work.

Buying quality matters also. Well, I might not understand cos I've not been in you guys' shoes. Maybe, your memory card too was a quality one, I don't know. Good morning

Have one one been using since 2011 till i gave it out few months ago, still working till date. HDD hard drive can never be trusted.

QC Chooses the voltage (v ) and current (A) that it uses by itself in the course of charging, ranging from 5v/2-3A up to 12v/1.5A - - since RN7 is pegged at 18w. It means that the highest voltage and current combination will be 12v/1.5a - which is (12*1.5) =18w.
Had it been that QC4.0 is fully implemented, the phone ought to have accepted 12v/2.25a or 20v/1.35A =27w charging capacity.
Since QC4.0 is backward compatible with Qc3.0 and QC2.0. It therefore means that both QC2.0 & QC3.0 chargers that can also charge at 12v/1.5a can do the job very well on the Redmi Note 7.
There is no point looking for a QC4.0 charger (27w) for your phone because yoir phone cannot draw beyond 18w out of it. That's why you are advised to settle for a far more affordable QC3.0 charger.
Feel free to ask any question.

This phone does not even charge higher than 6v (6.0-6.9) & 2 Amp (max) on a QC 3.0 charger, if my readings are correct.

As for font, you must root your phone. That's one advantage of MIUI

FTP File Transfer Protocol is a standard network protocol used for file transfer between [in this case] your phone and a PC (Computer) without the need of connecting your device with a USB cable

Okay thanks.

I am looking for a way to setup a fileserver on my phone such that other devices can connect, browse and download the contents of my phone. If possible, I would like to restrict them to the folder I share with them. I wonder if this FTP feature can handle that. I will explore and see.

CHECK OUT MY CASES

Finally my RN7 cases came in and i just picked them up. Now i know my device is secure.

i came here looking for cases sometime ago, the only ones i was offered were just plank plastic or childish looking cases which could not even fully cover the Camera Bump..

NB: Pls for the sellers in the house
when buying cases in bulk, try to buy quality and beautiful protective cases like this to sell, so people like me can patronize you more instead of AE. Thank you all though...

Please, how much? And where did you get them?
