His responses are clear without any form of ambiguity. Dont just whip up all those sentiments that keep dividing the south. The man said we must negotiate Nigeria as equal partners because that is how we got independence. All these later days appealing to sentiments and seeking cooperation of other tribes to become president came as a result of June 12.If a country is truly Federal, whoever is the President will not even matter. An ethnic President is already handicapped just as we saw in Obasanjo(Sharia) and Jonathan(Boko Haram).Any good action taken is seeing from different prisms and often times no progress is made. Buhari as a northern president is already a failure because he hasn't been able to do anything exceptional for the north except his nepotistic appointments which has not translated to the good of the millions of people there living in extreme poverty. We have been hearing lately that the bandits have started migrating down south on kidnapping expeditions as their markets up there is getting drier.
JasonScoolari:
I can see that Ayo Adebanjo is trying to maintain contradictory positions in an attempt to please some people.

We all know that the Afenifere group have been talking from both sides of the mouth about the Igbo Presidency and like I have said before, I don't trust a Yoruba man politically because he still hasn't committed to a clear cause of action and always talking out of both sides of his mouth which is akin to lying.

The person you called confused is one of the privileged few left that were privy to documents and discussions that led to our Independence. All these later days begging for a section of the country to allow others become President is an aberration.Haven't you heard how the Premier in the north sent his deputy to go and be the prime minister of Nigeria. It shows how unattractive the position was then.UK has 4 major nationalities and I have never heard the Scots or the Welsh agitating or begging the English they want to become prime minister too because there is nothing in there really as their rights and interests are fully protected in the union.Same thing in Switzerland where the country is made up for Germans,French and Italians.Nobody can trample on the rights of another even as smaller component of the Federation.Have you heard Americans arguing over it is the turn of the East or West coast to determine who leads them? That is the true federalism the elder stateman is demanding we run.The reason he supported Buhari in 2007&20011 when he promised them he will restructure Nigeria. Now it is he clear he was lying, just wanted to get back the power for the North.
focus7:
Disgruntled and confused elder.

Does he think fighting for Igbos will make Igbos stop seeing him being a Yoruba as their problem?

Even if you kill the whole Nigeria for Igbos as long as you are Yoruba they still sees you as their problem.

I know what am saying.

The SE cannot produce the president in 2023. The whole country distrusts you. Not too long ago most of you supported that Nnamdi Kanu charlatan to break up our country. The presidency goes SW next

'To break up our country' indeed, are you scared of the country breaking?..you should be happy,at least odua will be a country finally

That said.. this country will be broken into pieces if an Igboman does not become President before Yorubas and no one is begging you lots..

Just watch as insecurity and mayhem engulfs this country..That is a promise.

Are you threatening us? Is your agitation for a Biafran state a form of blackmail against us to yeild the presidency to you?

Nigeria is already a mess as we speak and in an extremely precarious situation..stuppidly playing into the hands of IPOB daily.

you said with your own mouth that igbos hate oyorubas

yet you are right now planning on marrying an igbo lady in a few weeks.

I declare today that if you do not declare your nairaland moniker(s) and password(s) to the innocent igbo lady who you are trying to hoodwink into marrying your bigoted, wicked, evil, satanic and hypocritical àrse before you marry her, your marriage MUST CRASH!!!

AMEN!!!

see who wants to marry someone that hates him.

deceptive, backbiting, backstabbing, wicked soul!!!

this also goes out to ALL you igbo ladies out there.

marry an oyoruba man at your OWN peril!!!

that's why we are fighting tooth and nail to separate ourselves and kids from these people!!!

you say someone hates you yet you still want to marry that person!!!

is that not the height of deceit and insincerity?!!!

the igbos say they are not interested in participating in "one nigeria" again. does that mean we hate zoogerians?!!!

oyorubas leave we igbos alone or you ALL are going to get it real soon!!!

tunjijones:

Shd I show u d link here on Nairaland where the igbo were mocking Yoruba because they complained that they were being marginalized under the Jonathan led administration?

I dnt get what u mean by jealous that igbos are prosperous. Are you trying to tell me igbos are more prosperous than the Yoruba or more than the bini that u claim? The fact that the igbos are proud and are cheat beaters doesn't mean they are doing better than other tribes.

No amount of threats or blackmail can intimidate Nigerians into granting the presidency to igbos. You will have to work for it just like any other ethnic group that has held the position before. Even Buhari that is president today wasn't assured a smooth ride to the office but had to be in the trenches for 12 years before he could clinch it. So tell your political class to wake up, do their homework and convince the rest of us on how an Igbo presidency is in the interest of us all

But is the the igbos that are already supporting the Hausa /fulani for 2023? Because they feel they can't dig it out with the Yoruba... Igbos have destroyed all the chances they have because of hate. They hate the Yoruba and also hate the hausas so who wld support them to become the President?

Yes the Igbos hate them so much they even vote for them during presidential elections. N have elected several tribes to office with their votes. Only God can forgive such hate.

When will you guys seriously give up on these chest beating and boastings? It's beginning to get irritating and you're giving the Igbo's a bad image. Politics is serious business and as it stands today the southwest are in pole position for 2023, but equity and morality demands that it should be the turn of the southeast, but we all know politics is not based on equity and morality alone, quit the bragging and work your way to the Presidency whilst soliciting, working with and lobbying other groups in the political space of Nigeria...that is the way to go!

Guy shut up. You're talking to a nameless faceless individual online but somehow you generalize like he's an appointed igbo spokesman. Come on
