I am not denying that the other players aren't average and without fault. But all Messi had to do was score that and put Liverpool in a tough position.

If it was Suarez that missed that, he would have been cussed into next year. So why can't Messi be cussed a little as well even if he is the one who carries the team every matchday? After all, it is Messi FC.

If you want to blame every footballer for the sitter they missed then no one would be spared.

If Liverpool's fortunes were dependent only on the chances scored or missed by Salah then they would never have won last night.

If Madrid's back to back to back were based upon only the chances scored or missed by Ronaldo them they would never have made it.

If every great striker scored every good chance he had then games would be ending 4 or 5 nil all the time.
If Messi scored every good chance he had then games would end 6 or 7 nil all the time.

If I Remeber correctly Messi created a one-on-one for Suarez for 4-0.

Messi again created a one-on-one for Dembele for 5-0.

At 5-0 would anyone be taking about a missed chance?


Blame Messi all you want for missing that chance but never blame him for losing to Liverpool.
