Let us see what stability can bring to the table this time...after this AFCON more creative midfielders should be sought...Dele Bashiru and Oforb
should get a look in.

Are they playing first team football in thier clubs ❓ The SE is not the place for youth team players.

Until a player has proven himself at senior first team football played. The basis for invitation should always be consistent, continuous outstanding top performances at club level. Not youthful glories.

The transition from youth football to first team football isn't always fluid many fall by the way side. Chuba Akpom a classic example great at youth level struggled at senior level.

Sorry to ask Komekn

Was wondering if using words like consistent and continuous and another like outstanding and top in terms of performance in sports is tautology. Kindly enlighten me pls.
No harm intended.

Modified
Personally, I would go for consistent outstanding (or top) performances at club level........

These two are not Super Eagles qualities. Bashiru is full of short passes and doesn't really drive forward or exert himself in midfield. While Oforborh's movement is slow & weak in tackles as a DM against ukr. The Midfielders Manu paraded at the last u17 afcon play better to me.

Ofoborh was one of the brightest spots against Ukraine. In the next few years, he could be a super eagles player.

Those under 17 midfielders still play like amateurs. Especially the number 14, Olaniyan.

If Dele Bashiru hadn't started the first two games or he was dropped from the squad, folks here would have said he was better than the other midfielders in the team..

Well,I don't wanna judge too soon.. the guy is highly rated at Man city.. This tournament won't be the defining moment of his career...

Exactly, i do not think they should be compared with pros just yet.

Lets see how far they go.

As it stands, Ofoborh is one of the brightest prospects in that crop of players followed by Chinonso Emeka.

I see Makanjoula, Ofoborh and Igho Ogbu joining U23 team in the future and maybe Dele-Bashiru too because of Naija too like foreign born players

Saw the full match again today. I still think the tactics are not on point just yet. The team is not a complete waste, there are actually good players therein that can come good.
The first is Ofoborh: Heads and shoulders above many of the other boys, great footballing sense, he is as calm as you need your 4 to be (he does look oddly overweight tho'). Excellent player.
Also, his partner in midfield Success Makanjuola: Wow! Left to me he'll not start in the midfield but in the attack, on the right (Where Effiom is currently occupying). Very skillful with a great cross.
Next is Okon. The guy is good. Very mobile with a good workrate. He should start in the midfield instead, he's got the lungs for all that shuffling around. His delivery on a long pass is not bad too.
Other notable mentions are Utin and Kingsley Michael.

Both have been played out of position. They are CMF not DMF or AMF.

18 players in camp already. Ighalo got into the country yesterday and should enter Camp today while Alex Iwobi is still being expected.
Giroud that won the Europa final played against Bolivia yesterday, Iwobi should be with the team and not excused some days

Iwobi is still mourning his loss, abi, because he did not win, he should run and come down to camp?

It's easy to be in camp early, after being in a celebratory mood.
