Trust me ,their influence is starting to wane. Other countries will start seeing American companies as non reliable entities and they will be shifting towards other market coz they know the USA just sanction at will.

Trump is fighting too many trade wars, Mexico, Canada, Europe, China, about to add Japan soon e.t.c. If China can persevere, trump will back down Caz the stock market is feeling the impact and the American big guys here are not happy that much.

They'll survive whatever comes their way. The Chinese may be unethical in a lot of ways, but so is America. Everyone knows Trump is after Huawei because of Huawei's surprising lead in the race for 5G dominance. It's crystal clear that America is lagging way behind Huawei in terms of 5G technology. And that isn't a spot POTUS is happy about. What America should be doing as the great nation that it is is to invest heavily in its 5G R& rather than trying to bring Huawei down.

Huawei has it's own OS but the problem is can they convince the Western, Arab and African countries to use it, Android is already generations ahead and the Chinese has a very bad reputation of surveillance of their citizens and stealing users private data.

Samsung launched Tizen OS some time ago but it didn't sell well to the public because of security vulnerability issues, a small boy in Israel hacked the OS and was playing with it like a child playing with chocolate, he was viewing Samsung server and reading Tizen users emails and data.

But that may not come to reality for two reasons.
Firstly, Samsung seems to be benefitting most from the current predicaments of Huawei.
Secondly, South Korea which is Samsung's host country,and some other countries in Asia like Japan have good trade relationships with the US.
That being said, it's my wish that Huawei bounces back, and definitely they will

China is reaping huge returns on FDI because countries like America love cheap labour in China. Go to stores across America, and you'd find millions of items with 'Made in China' on them. Why aren't those items manufactured in America? Because Chinese cheap labour is sweet! It fuels consumer spending in America while enriching the Chinede state. It is a perfect symbiotic relationship! Since China's "communist ideology" is clogging Trump's "capitalist mojo" why hasn't he ordered, suggested or advised American companies in China to pull out of China completely? Like I mentioned in my other comment, the Chinese can be unethical sometimes, but so are the Americans. What Trump and his team need to do - urgently, is to find a better way to reduce the trade deficit between the United States and China rather than threatening China with tariffs because with every tariff card Trump plays, the Chinese have a retaliatory card on hand.

You can’t possibly ask trump to publicly declare that American companies should leave China then Chinese propaganda that United States is only envious of them would be believed by those still standing on the fence. What he’s is doing is the best he can do, my only problem is that Americans of this day and age can’t endure hardship, if not I trust trump to be deviant about this and even raise the tariff higher until such a time when most American companies would move to other south East Asian countries there breaking Chinese monopoly as the world factory.

Another thing he can do is stop Chinese companies from listing on American stock exchange cause that’s how they raise foreign direct investment for their companies this one would bring them to their kneels.

Listen am not envious of China, I have worked with Chinese and Americans alike. It hurts me when people compare American innovative abilities with Chinese fakery. They are not the same.
